Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 15, 2017 Arizona Sports' Mike Jurecki reports Blaine Gabbert will start Week 11 against the Texans. Drew Stanton is dealing with a knee sprain suffered last Thursday night in the loss to Seattle. Stanton has started the past two games in Carson Palmer's (arm) absence and has led the Cardinals to a 1-1 record. Gabbert was signed back in May and had a pretty good preseason, completing 61.2% of his passes and averaging 8.2 YPA. He's probably better than Stanton. FartWaffles 1,857 Posted November 16, 2017 Texans secondary is poor, this is a good opportunity for your boy Joseph is old, Jackson has plateaued, and Johnson is injury-prone. No names at safety too. Shoulda never let Bouye walk. Losing Watt and Mercilus exposed the secondary for what it truly is...

Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 29, 2017 Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said it is "a possibility" Blaine Gabbert will be the starting quarterback next season if Carson Palmer retires. "The way he’s playing right now, I’d be very, very comfortable [with Gabbert starting]," Arians said. Palmer will likely retire after the season, and the Cardinals do not have a young quarterback waiting in the wings. That means they will need a bridge, and it looks like Arians thinks Gabbert can be that guy. Gabbert has played well in his two starts, but he has also turned the ball over at inopportune times in both games. Still, he looks like easily the best option for Arizona right now. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted November 29, 2017 Gabbert showed flashes in San Fran as well, he can play. Needs to cut back the INT and he'd be more than adequate.
