If you don't currently have great prospects, it can be your only chance at a job that has the potential to compete for championships. For instance, Schiano isn't getting a job as good as Tennessee under normal circumstances. Meanwhile, Brohm is a hot candidate who will almost certainly be the top choice at Louisville once Petrino leaves (most likely this year or next year).

After talking about the Tennessee job, Dave Doeren has turned down the offer and signed a new extension with NC State

Now looks like Tennessee is going for Sumlin. I bet he'd accept, but that's a disappointing hire to say the least.

Last night it was reported that Tennessee was about to hire leach. An unconventional hire, but honestly a very good one given the state of the process.

 

This morning, the AD was fired and it's being reported fulmer has been intentionally sabotaging negotiations to get the AD fired so fulmer can be made AD.

 

Tennessee has some shit to work out.
