Vin+ 3,121 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) Down by 21 comeback isn't generally something that happens, lol. Trying to point at Ben when he is the only reason this team has had success in his HoF career. Saw it early on in the game and thought it was interesting. Wanted to post the Campbell prediction but I was beaten, and I wanted to post something. You know who does have a 21+ point comeback win? Blake Bortles. FartWaffles 1,857 Posted January 15, 2018 Ben threw five touchdowns. You can't blame the quarterback in that scenario.
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) That was one of the best playoff performances ever by a QB. Our defense and the coaching blew it. Edited January 15, 2018 by Sarge
BwareDWare94 723 Posted January 15, 2018 Ben was so incredible today, and the guys who fucked off and fucked up were the guys who did all the talking this week. Someone needs to tell Mike Mitchell to shut the fuck up from this point forward.

BwareDWare94 723 Posted January 15, 2018 And to think, not only are the Steelers retaining Tomlin who made one coaching mistake after another in today's game, they're probably gonna lose a really good OC in Todd Haley because he and Ben can't get past their recent dick-measuring contest. BJORN 679 Posted January 15, 2018 Big Ben: 18/18 on QB sneaks according to Golic & Wingo. Big Ben was asked about it, his answer: (paraphrasing) "Calls were above my head, could have ghosted it with Pouncey but it would have been risky without the guards knowing and I'm not going to second guess in hindsight" 1. How does Ben not have the authority to make that call? 2. Do they really not have a check for a sneak so everyone knows?

ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted January 15, 2018 Give credit to Jacksonville. They built that lead up and made Pitt out of their element by forcing them to throw against the strength of their defense. As a result, they abandoned the run game. Pitt was sucessful running between the tackles, you aren't going to run side to side against Jax. Gotta take what you can get. AB still got his tho, testament to the great WR he is. Defensively, Pitt is a joke. Mike Mitchell is a loudmouth scumbag that deserves to lose the rest of his career. How do you not make Bortles beat you? Fournette killed them. Tomlin needs to go and Pitt needs to address that defense. It sucks because Shazier is a difference maker but that LB group is... against the run.
seanbrock 1,684 Posted January 15, 2018 Shazier not only hurt their run defense but he's a great coverage LB too. They could probably keep Been if they get rid of Tomlin and Haley. Idk if that happens though. They should look to keep Butler though.

BwareDWare94 723 Posted January 16, 2018 ^ROFL, you got 6 rings, dude, and the Steelers are almost always in the playoffs. I feel genuine sympathy for our fans on the board here and the few I know in real life, but Steelers fans in general? Nah. 2
Vin+ 3,121 Posted January 17, 2018 Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reports a group of the Steelers' limited partners want coach Mike Tomlin fired. Tomlin has never had a losing season in 11 years with the Steelers while winning at least 10 games eight times, but that record has not prevented his name from popping up in rumors the last couple years. To be fair to the rabble-rousers, the Steelers have not been to the Super Bowl since 2010 and have made the Championship Game just once over that run, arguably an underachievement given the talent on the roster. Still, it remains unlikely Tomlin is shown the door, but perhaps the discontent will lead to changes to his staff. For what it is worth, Tomlin did not throw his support behind OC Todd Haley when given the chance during his season-ending press conference. Source: Pro Football Talk Tomlin's been there 11 years. I don't like that.

This is the same pussified shit Air always says when I complain about Tomlin and the state of our team. Or when JD complains about the Packers. Both teams have been stacked with talent with two HoF QBs and have squandered it. Bill Belichick would have gone 19-0 with this squad.

Let's part with our offensive coordinator lololololol Hey. The Raiders did the same last year. Top 5 offense and they fire the OC while they keep the DC with the 30th ranked defense. Maybe it'll work for the Steelers..
Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted January 18, 2018 Haley didn't get along with Ben. I loathed him and wanted nothing to do with him before he came here, but admitted he was a good OC. He reinvented our atrocious 7-step-drop Arians offense into one that saw Ben get the ball out quickly and blow people up at times like in 2014 where he lead the league in passing and threw for 11 TDs in 2 games. Haley made some lamentably moronic calls (I was, for the first time, screaming for his head after the 4th and 1 sweep last weekend), but overall he did a lot of good for the Steelers. He was literally Bruce Arians's foil. He was a dick and Ben hated him, but his offense got the ball out quickly and protected Ben. Ben loved Arians and his offense served to have him sacked more than any QB in the span that he was our OC.

Yeah, this is one of the most annoying things I come across around here. It's like just because our teams have won Superbowls in the last 50 years -- we should just be content with out incompetent coaches or front offices or some shitty player who is costing us games... How dare we want to be better. How can we fathom the idea that we should keep fighting for another title. To actually get some return on our Hall of Fame players.. We're just spoiled, Zack. You should get that. Edited January 18, 2018 by Olenna4Ever
