And you will continue to see variance as this round progresses. There are strong groups and weak groups. Because of that, I think next year, we should do two rounds of eliminations. Maybe even do the whole tournament that way, without a bracket. I'm curious what you guys think.

Love Keenan Allen but he has WAY too many votes. Dude has played like 5 games his whole career.

Except for that he didn't miss a game last season, unlike your boy Yanda. You also ranked Bulaga who has only played 1 full season his entire career.

Ok and what's the difference between their injury histories in their careers? Also Yanda will be headed for Canton some day so his resume as a player is not even comparable to Allen's.

Allen is absolutely deserving of the votes, he's a top-5 WR when healthy. And this year, which has the majority of the weight, he played all 16 games.

Sean we're all gonna have different opinions its why we do these things.

Yeah but I think half the point is debating it.

You're not even really debating it. We're just getting started here, you think he shouldn't be in the discussion at all?

In one breath you say he only played this season, and in the next you nominate Kareem Hunt, who only played the one year, and only really good like 2/3 of the games he played in. It just seems incredibly arbitrary.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be in the discussion. I'm a big fan of Allen's game honestly but the guys injury history goes all the way back to college. Kareem was arguably the best player on a playoff team this year.

I think Allen is plenty debatable. I'm surprised Kareem Hunt isn't in the top 6.

Tre'Davious was a DROY candidate and so was Hunt. They're both deserving. I don't think Hunt was the best player on the Chiefs.

I do think he should be one of the six to advance here, just pointing out the contradiction in going after Keenan and not a rookie.

Yeah the Chiefs are a talented team but Hunt was certainly in that discussion.

+6 Ben

+5 Gronk

+4 Weddle

+3 Jackson

+2 Allen

+1 Byard (the safety from the Titans, may have just butchered his name)

I did NOT just take a list and SLIGHTLY rearrange it because I was unfamiliar with many of these players. :shifty:

Voting is closed. Final results:

Rob Gronkowski 65
Ben Roethlisberger 47
Eric Weddle 28
Keenan Allen 26
Malik Jackson 24
Kevin Byard 12
-----
Tre'Davious White 11
Kareem Hunt 10
Bryan Bulaga 5
Thomas Davis 3
Byard edges out White and Hunt in a close race. He and the rest of the top 6 advance to the bracket. All others eliminated. White is a notable omission; since he was voted 2nd-best player on the Bills, it's likely Buffalo will only have one player in the bracket (LeSean McCoy).
