The Bears lead the all-time series, 8-3, with victories in the last four meetings. The Jets have not defeated Chicago since November 26, 2000, and last won at Soldier Field in 1997. Over the last four games between the teams, the Bears have been outgained by 69.0 yards per game but have an 8-2 advantage in takeaways.

The Jets have 15 takeaways and 16 giveaways in 2018; both figures are tied for third most in the NFL. The combined total of 31 turnovers in Jets games this season is the highest for any team.

In the last three games (Weeks 4-7), Chicago has scored 107 points, with 450-plus total yards in each game -- yet the Bears have dropped two of the three games. It is the first time in franchise history that the team has scored 100 or more points in a three-game span while going 1-2 (or worse).

Sam Darnold has thrown an NFL-high 10 interceptions this season; four of them have come in the fourth quarter. In the Jets' three wins, Darnold has completed 68.5 percent of his throws with seven TDs, three interceptions and a 112.6 rating. He has a 55.5 rating in NYJ losses with three TD passes and seven picks.

Mitchell Trubisky is the third Bears QB since 1960 to throw as many as 13 TD passes in the team's first six games of a season (Erik Kramer - 14 in 1995, Jay Cutler - 13 in 2014). Trubisky threw only nine TD passes in his first 15 NFL starts before connecting for 11 touchdowns in his last three games.

Both the Jets and Bears have missed the playoffs in seven consecutive seasons, tied for the third-longest active playoff droughts. Both teams last played postseason games on January 23, 2011, as both were defeated in their conference's 2010 championship game.
