The Bengals had lost six in a row to the Buccaneers before winning the last meeting, 14-13 in 2014 at Tampa despite Andy Dalton's three interceptions. The Bucs have won their last four games in Cincinnati, last losing there in 1989.

The Buccaneers defeated the Browns in overtime last week, their first overtime win since 2015 Week 8 against the Falcons. Chandler Catanzaro made the game-winning 59-yard field goal, the longest overtime field goal of any kind in NFL history.

The Bengals have lost consecutive games for the first time this season following a 45-10 defeat to Kansas City last week. That 35-point loss is tied for the fourth-worst in franchise history and worst since a 37-0 loss to the Jets in 2010 Week 17.

The Buccaneers have allowed over 20 points in every game this season and are giving up an average of 32.7, highest in the NFL. The Bengals have surrendered over 20 points in six of seven games and have allowed 29.0 points per game, fifth most in the NFL.

After averaging 279.0 passing yards in his first six games, Andy Dalton threw for just 148 against the Chiefs. He threw one touchdown pass to reach 182 for his career, five shy of Boomer Esiason for second-most in Bengals history (Ken Anderson holds the record with 197).

Jameis Winston got his first win of the season, going 32-of-52 for 365 yards and rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown. After recording six rushing touchdowns in his 2015 rookie season, Winston has only three in his last three seasons.
