Bangy 19 Posted July 31, 2014 This is the test footage that got leaked and then confirmed as official, my god I hope that this gets the green light. I have been waiting for a Deadpool movie for years and Ryan Reynolds is perfect for the role.
Vin+ 3,121 Posted August 4, 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy. 9/10 Sidenote: Dumb And Dumber To is going to be so awful. Character rankings: 1. Drax - I went into this expecting this to be the Chris Pratt/Star-Lord show, but nope, Drax outclasses everyone. Hilarious character. 2. Rocket - Upon the reveal of GotG, I honestly expected, at the very least, for Rocket to suck as a character, and then I expected Bradley Cooper to be awful as his voice. I'm happy that I was wrong on both counts. Nothing really cringeworthy, which makes it a win in my book. 3. Groot - Pretty awesome for something that essentially only has one line repeated over and over for the duration of the movie. Despite the lack of dialogue, he's a badass, though there are a few instances of cringe the smile after Hulking out after impaling/crushing the dudes, post credits dancing that bring him down a tad, but solid nonetheless. 4. Star-Lord - Man, this kinda saddens me. I was kinda hoping for a slightly funnier Han Solo type, instead I got, well, I'm not sure what I got. Some cool moments, but where's the awesome bits of dialogue and one-liners? Hell, they even relegated a line I was expecting to be awesome "Something good, something bad, a bit of both" to throwaway status. Misleading trailers are misleading. I will say though that I can't wait for the DVD version to come out so that jack-in-the-box finger gif is all over the internet. 5. Gamora - I don't think it's Zoe Saldana (though I guess it could be), but the whole character just came off as weak and fairly uninteresting. I think making her be the potential love interest instead of this ruthless killer she was meant to be weakens the character some. Nebula > Gamora Really happy with the end result. There's a little too much music plastered in places it shouldn't be, and there's this weird Galaxy Quest vibe I kept getting, but I think those are complaints that only I have, so take that for what it's worth. Really happy no one of value died. Can't go wrong with more Yondu and Nebula in the future. I've given up on Thanos even potentially living up to, er, his potential as a character. You can't tease him for three or more movies and expect him to be decent. At least not IMO. I mean, what are we looking at, an Avengers 3 appearance in like 2047 or something? That's a long time for any sort of a payoff
Duck Fallas 209 Posted August 5, 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy. While I enjoyed it quite a bit, I didn't love it nearly as much as others. Drax the Destroyer was easily the funniest character in the film, even though Dave Bautista's delivery is like a porn star reject on a soap opera. PackIsBack 124 Posted August 6, 2014 I saw Guardians of the Galaxy on Saturday. I thought it was very entertaining and well done.

CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted August 11, 2014 Saw Guardians Sunday. Like I've said before I'm not a big super hero movie guy. I still see them (usually when with a girl who strangely always seem to want to see the new super hero movie that's out or someone else who's way more excited about it than I am ) but I've been burnt out from the constant onslaught of super hero movie after super hero movie. From the moment I saw the first trailer for Guardians I was intrigued though, it just was different. First off because I've never heard of it ever before like I have heard of all the other super hero movie characters. Then I saw James Gunn was directing, who's movies and work I thought were cool — nothing great but enjoyable. As well as the whole mercenary/smuggler/outlaw archetype which is my favorite of all time so I naturally was drawn to this movie. Absolutely loved it. It was hilarious, and man... the effects blew me away too they were so well done. It didn't take itself too seriously (which I figured, given Gunn was directing), and they handled the introduction of such a big scale of a movie about as well as you could ask. Groot, you the real MVP.

GA_Eagle 595 Posted August 22, 2014 The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Wasn't jaw dropping but no worse than the 60's X-men. Entertaining.

theMileHighGuy 656 Posted September 3, 2014 I've seen a lot of bad movies that I still liked because I'm very easy to please as far as being a critic goes. I'm even pretty good at separating old classics from new reboots and treating them as their own entities and accepting them for what they are. That said, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is honestly up their with the worst movies I have seen in the past 30 years. I'm talking fucking Thankskilling, Syfy originals, the Hottie & the Nottie... Battlestar Galactica... I couldn't hate Michael Bay more. It was paced so fast, and the cannon butchered so horribly, that it was 90 minutes of "what the fuck is this supposed to be?" Michael Bay should be hung by his balls and never be allowed to remake another movie series. Unless it's The Hottie and the Nottie. How to Train Your Dragon 2 on the other hand, badass from start to finish

BradyFan81 404 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) Elysium- not a very well done movie. The character development was terrible. Didn't really give a crap about the woman or her kid, or Matt Damon's character. And you can definitely feel the political undertones in it which is pretty annoying. I just looked and this director is the same guy who made District 9.. wow. That is shocking. Edited September 7, 2014 by BradyFan81
Vin+ 3,121 Posted September 7, 2014 Sharlto Copley was pretty great though.

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted September 13, 2014 So... A random guy at the gas station wants to buy your car, you refuse... They follow you home, beat the shit out of you, and kill your dog. Hmm, totally something I want to go see. Unfortunate that the Town wanted to be in the same breathe as this... Lol

Vin+ 3,121 Posted September 20, 2014 Captain America 2. Does this qualify as the greatest increase of quality ever for a sequel? It's ridiculous how much better this is compared to the first. Also, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is British? What the hell...
