This is so premature. The guy is coming off of major knee surgery. The saying is always that you can't tell how persons recovery went in the season they return, but they season after that. While it does look like he has lost a step, I still don't think he is 100%. And with Fred Davis nipping at his heels, im sure he feels a lot of pressure. Hopefully this bye week will help and he will be able to get more in form.

Cooley laughs at Romo for choking, wants to fight him in the cage

Coming from a cowboys fan? Now thats not ironic  But anyways, before the season I stated that I thought the skins were going to finish 7-9 or 8-8. I still think that is a pretty good estimate of what they will do. -

And yet, we are still atop the east right now. Funny how that works, no? :grinno: -

Cooley was a state champion wrestler in Utah, I think he would hold his own. -

He must be talking about all those touchdowns that they apparently put up on us -
I don't think anything happened to Hightower. Shannahan is known for always going with the hot rusher, and Torrain was running with purpose today. He got the brunt of the carries, and came through. We have 3 good backs, and its nice to know that we are able to be so flexible with the backs. As for the skins, im still skeptical about this team. It is great that they are 3-1, but then again, they also haven't had any standout wins yet. The win against the giants is always big, but it did come against a veery banged up team. The second half of our schedule is brutal, and that stretch will determine how we do, obviously. Regardless though, it is great to be 3-1 heading into the bye week, getting ready for a big home NFC east battle with the Eagles. If we can win that game, I will start fully buying into what the skins are doing.

romo having trouble getting out of chair Take a look at this video. It is after an Inside the NFL interview he did yesterday. At the end, Romo can barely get out of his chair. Prediction: Either he doesn't play on Monday, or Hall / Orakpo / Landry (enter any other viable name here) knocks him out of the game.

Most surprising 2-0 team?
ride or die redskins replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in General NFL Talk
Has to be the Bills for me. I am suprised by how KC is showing right now, regardless though, going into KC and putting on a show like that is impressive. As for the Redskins, I don't think it can be stated more how depleted the Giants were / are. It was essentially a B team (and at some positions C team) that they had to play week 1 because of injuries. Also, I have been a huge critic of Eli Manning over the years, and I still believe he is overhyped. He makes too many boneheaded plays to be considered an elite QB IMO. And as most people have said, the Lions arn't much of a suprise. I think everyone knew they were going to be an improved team, so a 2-0 start isn't tooo suprising. -
You have to remember though that Aaron Rogers might not be where he is today without Bretty Favre. Those few years sitting on the sideline and learning from him was probably the best thing for his career.

Why did your team win/lose this week?
ride or die redskins replied to SteVo's topic in General NFL Talk
The skins won because: - The Giants fielded a B team on defense - Rex Grossman played like he wasn't.....Rex Grossman - Our defense stepped up and made big plays -
Don't get me wrong, I love what shanny is instilling in this locker room. This team hasn't had this type of chemistry since the unfortunate incidents of Sean Taylors passing. They have the right mentality to succeed, but the fact remains that they just arn't that talented. Grossman has always been an up and down player, and while he looked very good on Sunday, it is only a matter of time before reality sets in. Before the season I said that I think the Skins will go 7-9 or 8-8, I still think that is where they will finish.

Agreed. Once the Giants gradually start to get healthy and the skins come back down to earth that gap should narrow
-
those seem like the only logical rankings, imo.

Chris Cooley is a gametime decision for Sunday
ride or die redskins replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in NFC
This. While it would definately suck not to have Cooley in the lineup, I have complete confidence in Fred Davis starting at TE. I can't wait until both are healthy and we can run our 2 TE sets, its going to be tough to defend. -
Update - Report: Redskins to start Grossman over Beck
ride or die redskins replied to BLUE's topic in NFC
I never said that it did. But look at it this way. Even though John Beck was technically on the redskins last season, he led the practice squad. this means that he had very little experience running the teams actual plays. He had a lot to learn, and it certainly didn't help with the lockout. Without mini camps and OTA's, Beck has little experience running this offense. Grossman has the benefit of a full yet under his belt, and certainly has a better grasp on the offense. With both players looking quite similar during preseason, im sure that this was something that helped aide their decision.
