Legendary Pass Rusher, Deacon Jones, Dies at 74

RIP Deacon Jones! You will not be forgotten!
  2. You must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night! JK! I'm no expert either, but having scar tissue removed after having your chest stitched up doesn't sound too unusual to me. Its more or less a common routine. It could've been he was being kept in the hospital for a week with no projected release date, thats what I think got everybody worried! But I wish him a quick recovery. I had surgeries myself, and played college ball as well! So what! I think we all know what types of hits he's going to take. We're all fans of the game. The point is, that's the chance you have to take for doing something you love, and this kid has his heart set on making a career out of it! And I'm all for him. I mean if you can't put all your faith in the doctors...who are you going to put it in? God? Pfft...Might as well never play then!

Isaiah Pead suspended for one game

Thats true, I agree. And in Vabora's case it was his fault and he was correctly suspended. He also correctly won his lawsuit against the company that didn’t properly label their supplements, but he didn’t collect what he won in damages though. The way I look at it is managing talented but troubled players, will always be an issue for teams. Sometimes it just will not work out. Titus Young is a recent example. He is a very skilled WR however, his mental instability would not allow him to function within the structure of a team. Then there are others like Vontaze Burfict, who at the moment, is working well within the Bengal organization. It is a delicate balance that requires maintenance and vigilance by both team and players.

    What's your occupation?

Im employed with UPS..as a driver/package handler. Its a great place to work for..with great pay, awesome benefits. Its not easy work, you do work your ass off and it can be a very strenuous and fast paced at times. You also got to know your zip codes and addresses or else your screwed. Of course the Holiday season is the busiest time for UPS, and it gets non-stop crazy! Its a challenging job and alot has to do with UPS being union. But I enjoy it...and.. it pays the bills!

RG3 on the field and throwing passes

Now I’m not a Redskins fan as you can tell, but I’m rather impressed by what I’ve seen so far by RGIII. His play has exceeded rookie expectations and is an exciting player to watch. He’s very well spoken and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Plus he does and says the right things. I wish him all the best and a quick recovery.

Isaiah Pead suspended for one game

So he Pead into a cup! lmao And the hits continue for Pead. Really it’s not that big of a deal, but with the other RB’s not running into issues with their college’s late release or substance abuse, it’s hard to see him jumping Richardson or holding off Stacy! Tough road ahead for this dude.

    49ers hire Eric Mangini

Great addition!!! From the Niner’s Perspective: Eric Mangini has a well-respected football mind and can provide a new set of eyes to examine blind spots the other coaches might miss, and to provide more instruction to players on both sides of the ball. Also, I think it is fair to say Vic Fangio has earned the right to be considered for a head coaching position next off-season, and having Mangini on board provides an excellent candidate to take on DC duties if Fangio does move on from the Niners in the too soon future. As long as everyone is able to keep their egos in check, and there is no reason to think they can’t, then this is simply adding strength to strength. Excellent move! GO NINERS!!!

Who wins the NFC West in 2013?

Of course, I have to go with my 49ers to come out on top! But to be realistic over the last few seasons, the NFC West has developed from one of the weakest divisions to what is now arguably one of the strongest divisions in the NFL. Now even though we were Division Champs and Super Bowl runners up last season, we will not have an easy task repeating this feat due to the play of the revitalised Seahawks, whom won a Wild card spot in the play offs last season and made it to the Divisional round. Granted, both the Rams and Cards are improving teams, however, Seattle are by far the biggest threat to us! In short, we have made some good moves this offseason, replacing expensive players, such as Goldson, with younger players who can contribute this season, along with adding more depth.(Boldin,Asomugha,Dorsey,McCoy,Dawson) I feel our roster is one of the most complete in the NFL and we also clearly have the better coaching staff! So whether we're passing, running the ball or stopping the run etc...this is going to be a great season to watch! And I cannot wait! GO NINERS!!! THE QUEST FOR SIX!!

Offense - QB - Russell Wilson HB - Frank Gore HB - Marshawn Lynch WR - Larry Fitzgerald WR - Michael Crabtree TE - Vernon Davis LT - Russell Okung LG - Mike Iupati C - Max Unger RG - Alex Boone RT - Joe Staley Defense - Running a 4-3 DE - Aldon Smith DE - Chris Long DT - Calais Campbell DT - Justin Smith...This front-4 combined for 40.5 sacks in 2012! LB - Daryl Washington LB - Patrick Willis...Tough to leave out Laurinaitis, not going to beat Willis for the middle job. LB - Navorro Bowman CB - Richard Sherman CB - Patrick Peterson FS - Earl Thomas SS - Dashon Goldson Special Teams - K - Greg Zuerlein...Missed eight kicks, but then six of those were from over 50. P - Andy Lee RET - Leon Washington ST - Heath Farwell...Consistently productive on special teams in 2012 Also Justin Smith and Calais Campbell typically work from the 5-technique, but at 285 and 300 pounds respectively, both can easily make the transition to defensive tackle.
