    Buy or Sell

Buy. I would bet my house on that since Smith already said before the season and the Achilles injury that this would be his last season, and Manning looks basically done and I'd be surprised if he doesn't hang it up after this year B/S: Carson Palmer makes the Pro Bowl

    Buy or Sell

Sell. They look like the clear best team in the NFC, even with their flaws on defense that have started to become very apparent B/S: Rams finish this season above .500
  5. Mentch

    Buy or Sell

Sell just because it's almost impossible to have a single 16-0 season, much less 2 of them in a decade B/S: Matthew Stafford is not the starting quarterback for the Lions in the 2016 season
  6. Mentch

    Buy or Sell

B/S: the Seahawks still win the NFC West

    YOUR NFCE LEADERS

I still have the Eagles as the favorite to win the NFC East. I still maintain they can be a 10 win team, especially since Peters' injury last night that looked like it had the potential to be awful wasnt anything more than a minor setback and he'll be back for them after the bye week. Look, Bradford is a really frustrating quarterback at times. But there are some plays where he's a very accurate quarterback, most notably when he gets adequate pass protection. Did anyone see the throw he made earlier this year at Washington to Miles Austin? That was one of the best throws I've seen this year Not to mention, the NFC East is absolute horse shit right now. I know Dallas is only 1.5 games out, but I'm going to effectively eliminate them from the division because I see them winning maybe 1 game before Romo gets back in Week 10. That will put them at 3-6. Do you know how many teams have made the playoffs after a 3-6 start? Three. That would be the 1995 Lions, the 1996 Jaguars, and the 2012 Redskins. One of those teams had one of the best offenses of all time, the other team had an up and coming contender in the AFC, and the last one had a huge fluke run by RG3 to a divisional title. Does anyone see ANY possibility of the Cowboys making the playoffs at 3-6? Because I sure as hell dont The Giants would be the team to beat if they had any consistency at all. They look substantially better than they have the last 2 seasons, but I dont trust their defense at all in key situations. The Redskins are a decade long 6-10 / 7-9 team encapsulated into a single season. I have no problem putting my cards all in on the Eagles at this point in time, especially given that they havent even played their best football yet
  9. The Lions were 9-7 in 2000 and only missed out on the playoffs because of a last second loss to the Bears on a 55 yard field goal. They were then 33-111 for the rest of the decade, including the 0-16 season in 2008. Their total for the 2000s is 42-118. They were the worst team of the 2000s decade The Jags were 8-8 in 2010 and missed out on the playoffs because of a 3 game losing streak to end the season. They have been 15-55 since then, bringing their total of the 2010s so far to 23-63. No other franchise has come close to matching the ineptitude of the Jaguars up to this point in time, and it's hard to see it getting better. They look like they will be the worst team of the decade by a pretty substantial margin

YAHOO! NFL Stream Is Massive Success

This is probably the only thing anyone will ever use Yahoo for ever again. Kinda like Myspace where people only use it for music and porn
  11. Are they a championship contender? Do they beat out the current day Patriots to win the AFC East? Does Pennington complete over 75% of his passes? To answer my own question though I think they'd win 10-12 games and be anywhere between a 2-5 seed in the AFC. I also think Pennington would put up about 4000 yards, 30 TDs, and 10 INTs while completing 66% of his passes
  12. In both the cases of Eifert and Freeman, they caught the ball outside of the end zone and then lunged over and broke the plain. The play should have been over at that point in time. The problem is the rule has been written to make us interpret stupid shit that normally wouldnt apply When the Calvin Johnson catch initially happened 5 years ago, I remember a lot of the argument being "if CJ had caught the ball on the 1 yard line and then dove in he would have been fine and wouldnt need to control the ball all the way to the ground!" Well now theyve changed the rule to where that's no longer an option apparently. There is no specific way to tell what is a catch and what isnt. You basically have to go by the guess and check method The ruling over what constitutes a catch and what doesnt is about as consistent as the NFL's rulings on domestic violence
  13. No way. Youre telling me that moving the extra point back from the 2 yard line to the 15 yard line increases the chances of a missed attempt? What a concept, I did Nazi that coming
  14. This more than anything. The Panthers defense has been so much worse than last year it's not even funny. But at the same time, Hardy should not be this valuable to a defense that was only ranked behind Seattle last season
