I am also reading The Daylight War by Peter V. Brett. It is book three in The Demon Cycle, which I feel could possibly be one of the great fantasy epic stories of our generation. It is seriously that damn good.
For anyone else interested the other books in the series are:
The Warded Man
The Desert Spear
I would strongly suggest reading both books in order so that you understand everything that transpires prior to the third. It is not really a series that works well as individual novels.

...Just started Arrow tonight. Pretty good stuff so far about a character that I have no knowledge of going in, therefore I am not diluted and can just enjoy the ride.

On Ep.2 of Arrow.
While I very much consider myself a comic book nerd, I know absolutely nothing about the Green Arrow, so I am sure there are deviations from the comic origins.

Honestly, I don't know what else they could say so early in development. This may be all we get until E3 next spring.

Personally, I didn't have any issue with the ending at all. Maybe I missed something during my 200 hours of gameplay and multiple playthroughs that would have had me pissed me off like it did so many others.

I wasn't even aware that they were making a Mass Effect 4. I would be lying if I said I wasn't incredibly excited.

I am finally catching up on Game of Thrones season 3. Took me forever to get around to it.

I am only 35 years old, so I would take the payments. If you divide that 636million over 20 years, that works out to around 31 million a year. Pretty certain I can live on that.
I would build myself a Medieval-style castle, one with a moat an everything. Maybe even add some defensive trebuchets just to fuck with all those pesky-ass vandals who would try to take all my cool millionaire shit.

Just watched episode 1 of Dexter. I am not really sure what to think, I assume it gets much better, just like Breaking Bad.

2008 Toyota Tundra...truth be told, I am not really a "truck guy" but I told myself for many years that when I came into money, I would buy a Tundra and a Supra. I bought both, but sold the Supra just before I moved to Washington state.

I honestly have someone that I am rather close to that had a very, very similar situation about ten years ago, only she was an adult when her incident happened. She and I have spoken on this very subject numerous times, and there is nothing that she has been able to do that makes her feel any better about what she did. (the only difference in her case is that she served 2 years in prison and is on probation for 15 years)
While I firmly believe that everyone, regardless of class, should be held to the same standard under the law, this kid fucked up. No amount of time in prison will ever change the fact that he killed 4 people. His life is already ruined.
As for the civil suits; the parents of this kid will be held financially responsible for his actions...but to what end? Them paying for his mistakes is the system once again letting his parents money cover his ass.

AC Brotherhood. I like how how the system for buying and renovating properties continues to progress... but the story is starting to drag a little, IMO. I am not very far, so maybe it will catch up.
I think that Brotherhood was my favorite game in the series, I loved nearly everything about the game. My one issue was the defending the district mini games, very happy that they didn't bring that back in subsequent games.

I wonder how much would be lost if you jumped right from the end of season 2 directly to season 4. Seems like everything that was done in season 3 got undone in season 4. I must say, I wasn't at first, but I'm actually looking forward to the spin off. It'll be nice to not have the comic as source material, as well as not having people whine and complain when things don't happen exactly like they did in the comics.
At least the second half should ve good if they can avoid cluttering it up. I think you got the Rick/Carl group, bus group, Tyreese and the girls, and Beth/Daryl. Unless they take the easy way out and have everyone meet up right away, it could be interesting.
That is exactly what I did (jumped from season 2 to season 4) and while I feel lost in some respects (like what happened in Woodbury), I don't feel like I lost too much.

Just started playing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. So far, pretty good, a few things that I don't like. Nothing that kills the game or anything, just minor annoyances.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts after reading the 3rd one.
I have considered reading the books, but think it would be weird for me, as a 35 year old man, to buy books aimed at young adults.

I decided to cancel both my PS4 and XBOX One pre-orders a while back, mainly because neither of them had any launch games that I considered "must have". I would have kept one if Watch Dogs hadn't been delayed (which I am not upset about).

I will concede that The Last Of Us is probably the best all-around video game that I have ever played, but I was never able to get into the Uncharted games, for some reason.

Pretty much any candy with peanut butter. I also have a soft spot for "Nerds" and Goetz's Caramel Creams.

I would have to go with Bethesda because the Elder Scrolls is my favorite game series of all time. They are followed very, very closely by Ubisoft based solely on the awesomeness of the Assassin's Creed games, which are my current favorite games.
