Look at the CFL how often do they sit on the ball and run clock out?
-
Then do it the old fashion way tell a player a play on the sideline and then the other player comes in for next play. Thats the way they used to do in college. the old 30 second clock is used for running out the clock. The 25 second clock you cant just sit on the ball and run clock out you have to run the ball. By running the ball is risky then sitting on it is safer. Im sorry fans are tired of players taking the easy way out for a win. Look at Baseball,,Theres no easy way out the secure the win you must make your pitches in order to finish the game. In Football you must protect the ball and your lead. Not taking the easy way out for a win.

QBs have headsets to get the play called from the coach. All thry have to do is Run down the field with players quick huddle and then get the play started. It can be done with pratice. They dont need to spend a minute calling a play in the huddle.

I think they should cancell the draft. Why draft someone if theyre not gonna play? Thats like telling the government,,Well youre shutdown thats means i cant report for duty.

:grinno:

When Zbikowski gets a serious concussion youll know what im talking about. Boxing is a very dangerous sport. I suggest you look at Muhammad Ali now. He cant talk and his head and hands are shaking all the time. Boxing punished Ali big time.

If anyone who doesnt feel that Unitas was all that great doesnt understand what the N.F.L is about.

I do! Football is a mans game. Its built for men to play unlike Baseball,Basketball and hockey is a sport for all genders. But Football is simply for not for little girls to get involved. I have heard on the news Girls want to be a quarterback or a kicker on an all boys team. But it simple doesnt look right when theyre tackled into the ground. It doesnt look right for them being in the locker room with other men even interviewing them on the sideline. Even Andy Rooney was right he said that on 60 minutes and i agree with him.

This man was so great he was simply unbelieveable.

You didnt add Other to the last question. Im gonna watch the CFL

This is why i think NFL should have a rule players cant play 2 sports. Like Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson for example.

it's not just Peyton, it would completely change offensive play calling, far too many plays, by every team, are snapped in the last ten seconds of the play clock for me to think it would be anywhere near worth it, it'd be like running no huddle all game
I might agree with the last two minutes of the half, the only thing it would really affect would be kneel downs, which are really more frustrating than anything else, since if a team isn't ahead they're not going to take 25 seconds to call a play, and it would make the end of the half/game more exciting
You miss the expaintion of the rule change. I said play clock cannot start until the chains,Ball Marker and Ball is placed and set for next down. Like look at the rule in College ball when you throw a 1st down clocks cannot start until the chains,Ball Marker and Ball is placed. But my idea is only play clock cannot start until the chains,Ball Marker and Ball is placed but the game clock keeps rolling unless you step out of bounds.

For Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott, the possibilities are endless in his quest to make his league more relevant nationally.
That's why Scott has given thought to playing some of his league's games on Sundays this fall should the NFL season not be played because of labor strife.
"We certainly are monitoring the situation," Scott said. "We have no plans in place at this time, but you want to be prepared and consider all options. Still, these labor situations have a way of getting done the closer they get to a critical situation."
Should the NFL's labor unrest push into the season, it would create a big void on the nation's TV airwaves. Fox, CBS, NBC and ESPN carry NFL games, with Fox and CBS carrying the bulk of the action. What type of programming would those networks run if the NFL wasn't in action? John Ourand, media reporter for SportsBusiness Daily, doesn't think the networks will have an issue filling the time.

I think its a Bad idea. IF NFL season is Locked out we got the CFL!! So why not TV Networks televise the CFL? And see if CFL Commisioner would try a game on Monday Night?

I Wonder will he do the Riverdance when he scores a goal.
-
And when Colts turn it over youll see this on mannings face
"" Manning Hurries and throws
And ITS INTERCEPTED!!
Thats the Ballgame folks!

He should be happy not to put up another losing season. Oh well look at the Cavs now and those Joker Indians showing up in their town soon.

He'd just have to get 15 seconds faster at doing it.
Well he better learn how to speed calling audibles. Or call audibles as soon he races to the line of scrimmage.

What im in favor of 25 second play clock. But play clock starts when chains yard marker and ball set. All those 3 things in place for next play the ref blows whistle arm winding clockwise to start the play clock. So this way the Offense cant just sit on the ball run the clock out on all 3 knee downs. So if you knee down 2 minutes after 2 minute warning its not enough to run it out,Or youre on 2nd down after 2 minute warning isnt enough you give the other team a chance to come back on a miracle play. So your best bet is to do something with the ball run time off the clock like QB dances scrambles to take time off the clock. This rule i like to see changed.

I agree with the New Rule touchback unchanged. 35 yard line kickoff i approve. But they should change the turnover touchback rule. If the offense throws an interception in the end zone or a fumble recovery in the end zone it goes to 25 yard line not on a kickoff.

NFL's Chad Ochocinco tries out for pro soccer team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — NFL star Chad Ochocinco has started his tryout with Kansas City's Major League Soccer team.
Ochocinco began his four-day trial on Wednesday with Sporting Kansas City, moving fluidly on the field on a cold, blustery day. More than 40 media members were on hand to watch the locked-out NFL player, who spent much of the morning getting individual instruction from assistant coach Zoran Savic.
Ochocinco, a wide receiver with the Cincinnati Bengals, is a six-time Pro Bowler. He started playing soccer when he was 4 but quit in high school to focus on football.
With the NFL in a lockout and a court fight looming, Ochocinco has said now is a good time to check into another sport.

Now what kind of idiot stuff hes gonna do when he scores a goal? I Got a better idea for Ocho Cinco? Why not become a pro wrestler for awhile? You know,,Nobody gets hurt in Wrestling. He could be a sidekick for the MIZ. Or become Alicia Fox boyfriend.

Then why men arent allowed in Womens locker rooms during Wimbledon and U.S Open tennis events? And why men arent allowed in Womens locker rooms during LPGA golf events? Fair is fair!! If Men arent allowed in Womens locker rooms during those events then Women shouldnt be allowed in MLB,NFL,NBA and NHL Locker rooms.
