[Can anyone design a trading card?]

Looking for a versatile trading card design for a set I wish to produce.I'm building a set of rookie cards of former football players whom never had one produced. I need a little help. Here's a picture of Patrick Heenan, rookie 1960. The designer of this one and I didn't see eye to eye so it is unfinished. I was looking for a vintage yet modern trading card look.
