    Andrew Luck and the Colts

Yep. I think the interceptions should go down too. Or they sure the heck better. I expected ups and downs but I did not expect so many wins. I personally had us at 9-7 though going into last season while many told me I was being unrealistic. :ghey: An underrated aspect of last season for us was REGGIE WAYNE. He was unreal from start to finish as a leader and playmaker.

    Andrew Luck and the Colts

Kids got "Jim Harbaugh angry eyes" on the field. A few of us Colts fans have recognized this in comparison to the old Captain Comeback here. Which is funny since off the field he is so calm and polite.
  3. I had to laugh since I joked with a friend of mine after the draft that we seem to love white players in Indy. Last years top 2 picks? Andrew Luck and Coby Fleener. No second rounder this year but our first rounder was another white guy, Bjoern Werner.

Update: Chargers signed Freeney to a two-year deal

Good luck Dwight!!! I hope it works out for him there. Great guy. Just don't show up too much against the Colts.
  5. I went with Mike McCoy since I am always waiting for the Chargers to get going again. And without Norv finally maybe it can? And who knows, Rivers is still an extremely talented QB. Maybe he can get him going in the right direction again. I also like the pick up in SD of Freeney (great guy). I was not surprised the Colts let him go either since Indy is very stingy with aging veterans on the roster now too as they are still building this new era.. Besides, the AFC West needs a challenger for the Broncos. It's too boring. Many think it will be KC but I am not jumping on that wagon right now. I would love for it to be Arians in Arizona. Excellent motivator and I prefer him as a HC over OC but the competition in the NFC West is going to be brutal for him.
  6. Good post. I forgot about Mr. SB MVP and his big contract. :grinno: Yeah I want to see if he can become consistent as well. I ususually feel every offseason that the Ravens will end up in the playoffs though regardless. Too well coached and well run. Yep, what a postseason by Flacco though. I was damn impressed.

    2013 NBA Playoffs Thread

And so it begins. The poor Pacers now go against the Heat....AND Stern. Fingers crossed..... I am not expecting to win the series but I would go insane if the Pacers won it. Just try to steal one in Miami in the first two please. I try not to get too emotionally involved with the NBA but at least the Pacers had a great showing this year. They have regained a lot of fans back.
  8. The more I think about it why not Eli Manning? With that fanbase, that city, that media and a home Super Bowl? You know it's only a matter of time before they start hyping up a Peyton/Eli Super Bowl which never happens even though I have been hearing about it since Eli came in the league. Or Brady vs. Eli.......the rematch part 3. Sigh. Manning vs. Manning or New York vs. Boston in NY/NJ!!!! Besides, I swear the Giants almost always start 6-2. I never looked it up but a Giants fan once told me this. After 6-2 it's just a matter of them either making the playoffs or falling apart. Oh and Romo, poor bastard. I actually think he is underrated but he has the worst luck I have EVER seen.

    Was AP the most deserving?

Rodgers is a maniac on the field. I just hope that pathetic D gets going or else they are going to keep wasting his prime years. Oh and the run game......well they took a RB in the second round, maybe he will help. Still will the crap o line improve? Sigh. When the Colts came back and beat the Packers last season a few Colts defensive players said that they did not respect the Packers run game and knew all they had to do was get after Rodgers. Watt is another maniac. Andrew Luck's worst nightmare too sadly. If I could take any guy in the league on another team and put him on the Colts then Watt is my choice. Fat chance though they give MVP to a defensive guy again! You knew it had to be offense!!!! Manning and Brady were also both VERY good last year but they are always in the mix so it gets boring after a while. Besides, both have had bigger wow years, we all know this.

    Was AP the most deserving?

Well I personally don't like the MVP award voting....too popularity based. It's like the media decides on a few prospects by the halfway point in the season and hype them up to the heavens until the final week. And seriously this is coming from a Colts fan who saw their old QB win 4 of these things.....they are NICE but they do not compare to PLAYOFF WINS. However, I did strongly argue for Rodgers vs. Colts fans last year if they had to give it to a QB. I just felt with the shaky o line/the shaky run game/the shaky D...that team was toast without Aaron. Much like a few of our old Colts teams with Manning in years he got MVP consideration or won. Besides, I have seen much better from Peyton in the past which makes me feel almost like I am criticizing him now post injury. However, he was more the comeback player to me....the feel good story return from injury/missed season. I was fine with Peterson getting it too. He was a beast last season and I liked seeing a non QB win it for a change again. You can also argue the Texans D would be trashed without Watt lol. Many threw Brady in the discussion as well. I did not think anyone was running away with the award all last season either.
  11. Ugh, I go back and forth on this one. You never know if with Payton back they go on a tear, grab the first seed and end up in the SB but will it just be on offense if they do improve? That D was absolute puke last season...... Competitive division. Tough to say. But, I really don't want to pick the Falcons either since nobody repeats in the South. So I am down to the Panthers and Bucs. :ghey:
  12. This is what makes me hesitant on the Saints. I do not like Rob Ryan. The D could be the downfall of New Orleans again but their offense can sometimes carry them as usual for most games in the regular season. Does not mean they will make it to the SB though with that D or even to the division title. I think I am trying too hard here to find someone new in the South. Panthers? Bucs? Can either surprise?
  13. Oh btw did your new HC get rid of something called "Fast Food Friday"? I swear I heard that. If true your team is instantly better without all that garbage in their bodies!! :grinno:
  14. For me a lot hinges on what the Saints offer this year with Payton back. And if that defense improves since it was a joke last year.
  15. You could be right, I really don't know the general feeling with the Falcons fanbase but it sounds a bit like what we went through with Manning before we finally got a Super Bowl win. Getting your hopes up every regular season. Granted I don't think Ryan is as good as Manning in his prime but I have known several Colts fans compare the Falcons to the early Colts. And we crossed paths with the Pats prime Super Bowl runs too so it was even tougher. And heck does anyone in the NFC South even repeat as division winners every year? lol I will probably pick one of the other 3 to win the South this year.
  16. -Peyton-For the playoffs. Super Bowl or bust and I actually kinda hate that he was put in this situation but it is what it is. He is 37 years old now and the clock is ticking loudly. And I have had my doubts ever since he went to Denver that he would ring there.... -I think many might quiet down a bit on the Matt Ryan thing since the Falcons managed to get a playoff win. -I am not sure I feel much over the Sanchez thing, nobody seems to expect much from him anymore either. -I think there is a lot of pressure on young Kaepernick too. The 49ers are not just expected to be a playoff team. They are expected to WIN the SUPER BOWL. -If Michael Vick manages to stay healthy for most of the season I think a parade is in order lol. -Romo? When isn't there pressure on that poor guy haha. -I think there will be pressure on ELI Manning this year too. Home Super Bowl and Giants fans might have let last year pass since they were still drunk off the Super Bowl win but maybe not this season. But, who doesn't have pressure?
