  1. You can count on Romo having a game like that at least once a year, so I'm glad we got that out of the way early in the season. Ratliff will make a huge difference. If the coaches can get the safety spot figured out, Dallas's D will be back on track. Even with that shit-game on Monday, their D is still statistically top 5, and still #1 against the pass. Ratliff will help with the run, making them more balanced.

Dallas beat NY in NY. It's that simple for me.

Maybe I still have Brandon Marshall on my mind.

    NFC East Power Rankings

The Cowboys hatred is killing me. I defer to Bill Parcells: "You are what your record says you are." I think this early in the year, you go by the standings: 1. Philly 2. Dallas 2. Washington 4. NY (0-2 in the division speaks for itself)

    Dez Bryant

Not necessarily. First, Romo is great...I don't care what anyone else says. Wanting or not wanting either of the 2 are independent in my book. Second, if we didn't have Dez, then you have to think about who we would have gotten with that draft pick. I'm thinking center or other OL position without having to trade up for that low first round pick; or taking what we really needed: a safety. Safeties still on the board when Dez was taken: Nate Allen, TJ Ward, Taylor Mays, Morgan Burnett, Major Wright (I just creamed a little) and BOOM! just like that, the Cowboys are better off. One, you're not trading up to get him, essentially trading 2 players for 1. Two, you're getting better value for the picks. And 3, I'd wager that with the right development, we'd ended up with a better player. Romo consistently makes second tier receivers look better than they are (Crayton, Hurd, Amendola, Robinson, T.O., etc.). Now we've got Ogletree. And this is just my opinion, but I think Dwayne Harris is going to turn out to be a really good #2 or #3 receiver. You don't need good receivers for Romo to be successful, you need protection. Magnums for me. Big, strong O-line for Romo. I hope I'm wrong, but I really think Dez will be cut/released/not resigned after his rookie contract due to lack of production and continued off-the-field issues. He'll probably go to a sucky team desperately needing help, where he'll produce half-ass for a year or two then be released. Then, he'll end up on a low-end contract somewhere with a contending team that needs a good #2 WR where he'll explode onto the scene like he's destined for the HOF. Or maybe I'm just full of shit.

He may have to go through 2 or 3 more teams before he figures it out.

NFC East Buy or Sell / Over-Under

Sell: that's 4.6/game. Does McCoy even get that many? B/S: Vick breaks his previous season high pass attempts of 423, from last year.

    Nfl supports Seahawks final TD

I had the day off so I thought I'd enjoy a nice day of ESPN, NFLN, and just watching some general TV. I had the TV on all day while cleaning house, watching some porn on the computer, doing laundry, smoking a couple bowls, the usual. The only person I heard all f'ing day who thought GT made a legit catch was... ...Pete Carrol. Seriously, I watched this shit all day and not 1 person argued in the Seahawks favor. No one. And how about GT after the game: Reporter: "Did you push off?" GT: "I don't know what you're talking about." LMFAO! What a joke this game has turned out to be. At least we're not talking about kneel-downs anymore.

Your opinion of the replacement refs?

Did anyone ever figure out why he threw his hat?

    Larry Fitzgerald almost an Eagle

The first that year was Jeremy Maclin. The 3rd was traded for more picks, and I think one of those picks was traded for more picks. One of you Philly fans should track it down and see what all players it would have cost you to do this trade.

This sucks. He's made so much progress. And Dallas is hurting at safety anyway. Damn.

Reid Sticking With Vick For Now

It's hard for me to be objective when it comes to the Philadelphia Eagles, but I think benching Vick would be a huge mistake.

Your opinion of the replacement refs?

Earlier a guy was talking about Hochuli's blunder, but in the Dallas/TB game, a ref made the same mistake. Tampa got shorted at least 7 points, and the lead, because of a ref's early whistle. In such a close game, that could have made the difference. IMO, Dallas's win over Tampa should be accompanied by an *.
  17. Give me 24 million and I'll fix a lot that's wrong with the world. I wont' be back in a few years saying "I'm broke." Even a simple interest savings account would produce $720,000 a year at 3%. If you can't live on that, shit..I don't know. This is ridiculous.

Greg Schiano and Tom Coughlin argue after game

I do agree that Coughlin and the Giants and Giants fans have no reason to bitch about the play. It's football. You have to be ready for everything.

Greg Schiano and Tom Coughlin argue after game

I don't think it was dirty or cheap. It's certainly not illegal. I do think it was very high-school, bush league, amatuer. You have zero chance of getting a fumble on that play. No chance. The kneel-down is a gentleman's play, a representation of class, a showing of respect to the opponent, the game and player safety, and should be respected as such. I keep seeing "If they had forced a fumble, Schiano would look like a genius." That's a big "what if". Here's one: What if Gerald McCoy or Roy Miller suffered a high-ankle sprain on that play? What does Schiano look like now? A f***ing retard. You can play "what if" all day, but we all know damn good and well there is no chance of forcing a fumble there. What Coughlin should have done was call a time-out, said "F*** YOU!", lined back up in V-Form, and told his guys to plow the F*** out of them, like they apparently did the entire 4th quarter. This whole "finishing the game" nonsense is horse shit. If they were really "finishing", NY wouldn't have scored 25 in the 4th quarter. On the surface, it looks to me like they blew an 11 point lead and were just being poor losers about their own ineffectiveness and experiencing first hand what Eli can do to you in the 4th quarter. It sucks and it pisses you off, but you have to take it like men. I understand both sides of the coin; this is just my opinion on the subject.

    Best CB tandem

Actually this list is about who WILL be the best, not who has been. So game 1 is all we really have to go by. And there is more to it than just the 2 corners themselves: there is the pass rush, safeties, defensive scheme, coaching, and how those corners fit in to all of that. By the end of the year, Carr and Claiborne will be considered the best...and I'll tell you exactly why I think that: I'm a homer.

    Biggest Week 1 Surprise/Upset?

The Skins game wasn't nearly as surprising to me as the 9ers game. For years all the Skins have been lacking is a decent quarterback. They finally got one and I'm not surprised at how they played. The game to me wasn't as close as the score. At the end of the 3rd quarter it was 30-17. Plus, NO was playing their first game under a 'new' head coach; regardless of how you spin it, there will be pains there. Brees looked off, the defense was way off, both of which I fully expected. I watched the game with a friend of mine who is a big Skins fan. He was nervous as s*** but I kept telling him not to worry, Washington was going to dominate NO. He didn't believe me. I wasn't shocked one bit. The 9ers was a little more surprising because I didn't expect the Pack to fall off that much, or maybe I just didn't realize how good San Fran is. The most surprising game to me though, and call me a homer because I am one, was the Dallas game. I thought Dallas had no chance to go in to NY on the heels of their Super Bowl win and beat them in their house on NFL opening night. Even with NY's decimated secondary. No chance. Those are the games Eli normally shines in, and Romo and Dallas' D normally choke in.
