I dont' really like to see running backs get big money contracts. Sure, it's good for the running back, but how many running backs play dominant football for more than 2 or 3 seasons consecutively? Great running backs are so rare. Plus, you can pick up a questionable running back in the 3rd or 4th rounds who can come in and break a HOF'er's record. Great running backs are rare, but good running backs aren't hard to find. And if you can't pass the ball, you're not going anywhere anyway. Spend that big money on an O-line and let the Arian Fosters and DeMarco Murray's of the world make you look good.

I dont' think Carolina is an easy win. GB has already beaten New Orleans, Chicago, Atlanta, and Carolina. I don't think any of that was 'easy'. There is no such thing as 'easy' in the NFL. Just look at New Orleans. You can't take any game lightly. Rodgers is playing out of his f'ing mind. I don't see any game on their schedule where I wouldn't call them the favorite. If it wasn't almost guaranteed that any given team is going to lose at least 1 or 2 games, I'd say they have a good shot at 16-0.

Yeah. 3. I like Carlos Rogers but if I were a GM, I'd hesitate to give a long term high price contract to a guy who seems to be injured a lot, and also is 30 years old. Depends on the money he'd want I guess. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a really good player.

Sounds like they need upgrades in the 'strength and conditioning' department more than anything.

What player on your favorite team do you hate the most?
BenGone replied to NaTaS's topic in General NFL Talk
I would have said Tashard Choice, and just as a player. He's got a great attitude, but the fumbles and tardedness were driving me crazy. Now, I'd go with Martellus Bennett. I expect more from a 2nd round pick than "he's a good run blocker." Big f'n deal. Someone starting to get on my nerves is Felix Jones. We found his kryptonite: football. Him and Mike Jenkins might be the first players in the NFL whose medical bills are more than their salaries. -
I was hoping he spiked it because he f'ed up Philly's shut-out. I guess this is OK though.
-
He's going to go to another team and play like an All Pro. I can see that in his attitude. He's got the skills, but doesn't seem to like being #2. I think he's playing possum until he gets out of Dallas.
-
Sweet. Now he can go underachieve in Washington. Seriously, he's got a great attitude and team spirit, but that doesn't make up for all the bone head plays and fumbles.
-
I have no more use for Tashard Choice. I'd trade him for a buffalo nickle and a new push mower if someone offered.

Dez Bryant speaks out: Cowboys are 'unbeatable,' NFL easier than Big 12
BenGone replied to BLUE's topic in NFC
Lately? He's always been good at pass coverage. -
I think sacks are more overrated than INTs. A sack is a tackle for a loss. An INT is a change of possession and a game changing play. In the case for Sean Lee, he has 5 total take-aways, compared to Woodson's 6. Lee has him beat by 25 tackles (51 to 26) though, several of which were behind the LOS. Lee stops the run, plays excellent pass coverage, has been involved in almost every single defensive play he's been on the field, is always around the ball, and also leads and calls the defense between plays...in only his second year in the NFL (time served doesn't really matter though). I'm not saying one way or the other, but Sean Lee has really been the heart of the Cowboys defense, even over Ware, and IMO it would be hard to argue against him right now as the most valuable player to his team's defense. It's not a homer thing...it's just the truth. But I am a Cowboys fan so take it for what it's worth. There are several guys who do just as much for their own teams.
-
I'd take Dez because I'm a Cowboys fan. If I weren't a Cowboys fan, I'd take Dez...because I'm a Cowboys fan. (Honesty.)

Drew, Ben, Eli, Tom, Peyton, Aaron. Every other quarterback in the NFL is the same: ain't won shit. List them, rank them, whatever. To talk about what they will do or are capable of doing is speculative and never certain. Romo is the same as 27 to 29 other various starting quarterbacks rotating around right now: an exceptionally talented and athletically gifted quarterback who hasn't won shit. One thing that sets him apart is he's good for 3 or 4 touchdowns, a few hundred yards, and randomly and without cause, a few picks too.

Cooley laughs at Romo for choking, wants to fight him in the cage
BenGone replied to BLUE's topic in NFC
What's Cooley got this year? 7 catches? I'd rather see Cooley fight Tenessee-corn-fed-Witten in a cage match. TE vs. TE. Or even better, D-Ware, who actually trains MMA. Cooley would get his ass smacked by either one of them. It's all in good fun. Cooley is what Cooley is. He's always been entertaining at the least. -
Teauxny Reauxmeaux.

Jerry: "What the fuck are you doing out there dickhead?!?! How much am I paying you again?!" Romo: "Does your dick reach your ass?" Jerry: "Of course it does!" Romo: "Then GO FUCK YOURSELF!!!" <swings arm away>

At dc.com we have a rule about digging.

4 bonehead fucknut plays by Romo are the difference between 4-0 and 2-2 for Dallas. If he ever gets his head out of his ass, he'll be one helluva qb.

My pre-season prediction: 1. Giants 2. Skins 3. Cowboys 4. Eagles I wish I had it in print somewhere...it may be on the Cowboys forum somewhere. I'm starting to feel like a f'n genius. It's still early, but the Skins haven't surprised me. I thought they would be pretty tough, even with Grossman at QB. (I'm not one of those Skins-Hating-Cowboys-fans. I understand the hate, but I don't participate. I just like football.)

Sounds like another draft I remember: A kid touted to be the best overall quarterback, grew up a huge 49ers fan, played high school and college ball around the bay area, and the 49ers desperately needed a qb and had the first overall pick. It was f'ing destiny. "With the first pick of the 2005 NFL draft, the 49ers select...Alex Smith" WTF? (Apparently, Mike Nolan picked Alex Smith because of his personality.) I think it worked out well for ol' Aaron though. That's Mr. Rodgers to you, punk.

Before the season started and everyone couldn't get enough of Philly's balls on their chin, I said they remind me alot of '08 Cowboys...a lot of high priced free agents, big name talent, but the same old coach. Philly fans used to remind us that no matter how much talent we had, our coach was still Wade Phillips. Now, I have to remind Philly fans that no matter how much talent you have, it's still Andy Reid...the winningest coach to never win anything. But this is their year!!!!

My buddy was saying how he loves watching Dez fight for those extra 3 yards. I said I hate it because that's how he gets hurt. Get the first, go down. (Can't believe I'm defending D-Jack.)

You've got to protect yourself or else your offense will end up looking like Tony Romo without Austin and Dez.
