  1. Bortles is average at best.

Your great QB's in this league would've done more on that final drive, he's replaceable and with the options this offseason at QB... the Jags can def upgrade.

Why would you not upgrade just about the only thing that is holding you back outside of some on the offensive line?

    You'd be foolish not to.

Defense wins championships but this is a QB driven league.

See Minnesota. When your defense decides to shit the bed... it's gonna be your offense that has to bear the burden.

  2. Cavs are incredibly awful.

LeDouche is failing incredibly hard at his own game... see the Thunder and Golden State.

The Super Team concept that HE whined so hard for and was so arrogant about is biting him in the ass.

His ego has also made the best player he has EVER played with (Kyrie) go and do bigger and better things in Boston.

Cavs won't even make the Finals. Expect the Raptors or Celtics to do so from the East. Real Teams that play defense and have quality talent all around.

Not washed up NBA vets who can't play defense and don't know their role by a team with no coach with a spine.

  3. Jax is utterly stupid and it starts with the coaching.

Why in God's name with 2 timeouts and 55 seconds left in the first half are you taking knees?

Why are you calling Todd Downing-esque plays WITH A LEAD that consists of run up the middle the first two downs and then put the pressure on Bortles late in the 4th?

I do not understand why teams go complete retard against the Pats with a lead it's disgusting.

Jags defense was gassed at the end of the game due to the complete ineptitude of coaching staff. Your strength now turns into a weakness against the GOAT with time on the clock.

Fuck the Jags and fuck that joke of a coaching staff.

    Also.

Get Bortles the fuck out of there and get a real QB. When it mattered, I saw Bortles step into pressure as if he was Big Ben and was just going to shrug off multiple Pat defenders coming his way.

That PD by Gilmore was great, but if you make the right throw you at least give your receiver a chance. You are getting paid 17 milly to make those throws. Get rid of him.

  4. LBJ... please.

Kobe Bryant is everything LeDouche wishes he could be.

Kobe willed teams to victory and singlehandedly took over the NBA Finals at various points in time. A true champion, winner, great work ethic and not somebody who passed the ball up when it mattered most.

  5. I'll be wondering if the new staff will include LeBeau next season or not. He's been pretty good for us. all things considered.

    Without a true secondary

I think he has done a pretty good job, need a little bit more of a pass rush though. Orakpo isn't getting any younger...

He should be kept.. but he has been a part of the game for so long who knows what he wants to do.

  6. Also, lolTomlin. The offense scores 42 on the second best defense in football, defense gives up 45. Let's part with our offensive coordinator lololololol

    Hey.

The Raiders did the same last year. Top 5 offense and they fire the OC while they keep the DC with the 30th ranked defense.

Maybe it'll work for the Steelers..

  7. A year after making it clear that he’d entered the Brett Favre year-to-year phase of his career, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger apparently has decided to make a longer commitment to the game of football,

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Roethlisberger has told teammates that he wants to play at least three more years.

Roethlisberger has a contract through 2019; the Steelers presumably would want him to stick around beyond that, assuming he’s still playing at a high level. He turns 36 in early March.

So why the sudden change? There’s apparently a link to what seems to be the impending departure of offensive coordinator Todd Haley. Bouchette suggests that Roethlisberger’s retirement musings from last year following a loss to the Patriots in the AFC Championship may have been sparked by “some biting words” from Haley the day after the game.

Although a concerted effort was made to ensure that Roethlisberger and Haley would get along (or at least appear to get along) after the Steelers “retired” close Roethlisberger friend Bruce Arians in early 2012 and hired Haley, the relationship between Roethlisberger and Haley by all appearances has become strained. With Haley’s contract expiring and no extension in place, Roethlisberger’s willingness to stick around indefinitely may definitely be aimed at ensuring Haley gets “retired,” too.

Ironic how Ben comes out and says this today... after Haley gets fired

  8. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Vikings OC Pat Shurmur has emerged as the Giants' "top choice" to replace Ben McAdoo.

Per Rapsheet, Shurmur will accept the job if offered. The move cannot be formalized until the Vikings are eliminated from the playoffs. Mike Garafolo reports the Giants have been impressed by Shurmur's success with multiple quarterbacks in Minnesota. Shurmur, who previously coached the Browns, would be a low-wattage hire, but his reputation has remained strong in league circles.

  9. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette suggests there's a real possibility the Steelers move on from OC Todd Haley.

Haley does not have a contract for 2018, and his relationship with Ben Roethlisberger became increasingly fractured in 2017. One Steelers source told the Post-Gazette that one of the reasons Big Ben openly contemplated retirement was his failing rapport with Haley. The two "rarely talked along the sidelines," and "never huddled to discuss strategy" during games. Roethlisberger reportedly requested QBs coach Randy Fichtner to come down from the booth to create a game-day "buffer" between the quarterback and Pittsburgh's OC. Fichtner is reportedly a "strong candidate" to replace Haley if he isn't re-signed.

Seahawks hired Ken Norton as defensive coordinator.

Norton coached the Seahawks' linebackers from 2010-2014 and is a "comfortable" hire, reuniting with Pete Carroll. He signed a deal on January 8 to work as the 49ers' assistant head coach/linebackers, but Norton can break that contract for a higher-up position. Norton coordinated abominable defenses in Oakland the past two years. After his firing this past season, the Raiders' defense played better down the stretch under John Pagano. Both of Seattle's coordinator hires -- including OC Brian Schottenheimer -- have been thoroughly uninspiring.

Legion of Boom is officially dead. LmaoSeachickens. Weep.

  10. It was a dumb play, but I do feel bad for Marcus Williams. Dude was just about in tears at his locker and you just know that people are gonna be massive massive dicks to him probably for a while.

If you're going to knock a man out. Knock him out and get PI that prevents a 61 yard TD.

Idiotic and poor situational awareness no matter how you look at it.

He took a middle of the road approach and that's what he fucking gets.

If he goes about it the right way, it's a wrap up tackle.

If he goes about it the wrong way, he gets called for targeting or PI that breaks up that whole play completely.

  11. Give credit to Jacksonville.

They built that lead up and made Pitt out of their element by forcing them to throw against the strength of their defense. As a result, they abandoned the run game.

Pitt was sucessful running between the tackles, you aren't going to run side to side against Jax. Gotta take what you can get. AB still got his tho, testament to the great WR he is.

Defensively, Pitt is a joke. Mike Mitchell is a loudmouth scumbag that deserves to lose the rest of his career. How do you not make Bortles beat you? Fournette killed them.

Tomlin needs to go and Pitt needs to address that defense. It sucks because Shazier is a difference maker but that LB group is... :puke: against the run.

  12. Not a fan of Steratore?

The call was neither here nor there with me.

What made me mad is how this cunt made this moment all about him in the final moments of the game with his smug look and bullshit folded paper.

He can go fuck himself into oblivion.

  13. Shutout in Pittsburgh. You heard it here first.

Jags smacked them around during the reg season, nothing will change now. Steeler players have talked a LOT of shit going into this one. Jags Defense is going to make a statement so that Bortles won't have to.

Matchup wise all over the Steelers are on the wrong side.

Fournette will feast, and the Jags front will make Hen's life living hell.

    :jags: 21

    :Steelers: 0

    Saints @ Vikings
    Head Official: Gene Steratore
Tendencies: Another high penalty official and this could ruin this game if they throw too many flags. However, he protects QBs well and doesn't show favoritism in that regard so I don't think we'll be seeing any cheap shots on Brees or Keenum. That being said, why have 4 very different officials this weekend? This could be bad.
