Best defensive player in the NFC North?
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in NFC
Julius Peppers for me... Then Matthews, then Urlacher and Woodson. Greenway may be a top 5 4-3 olb, but he's nowhere near the best defensive player in the NFC North, not even the best LB, let alone the best 4-3 OLB in the NFC North... -
Strong running game or passing game?
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in General NFL Talk
As much as I prefer running the ball... A strong passing game in today's game will get you further then a strong running game. -
Best QB in Texas: Schaub or Romo?
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in General NFL Talk
They are both good, I personally would take Schaub... But that's only based on the fact I believe he'd perform better then Romo if he played in Dallas. But based on what both have done, I voted for Romo. -
Ex-49ers RB Coffee: The NFL ruins lives

Then I guess I am alone. I just don't see how it's fair to judge someone of being or doing something when there isn't any hard evidence to back it up... -

Ex-49ers RB Coffee: The NFL ruins lives
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F replied to BLUE's topic in General NFL Talk
He was contemplating quitting from the start, before he entered the NFL draft. He only went on to through the draft, and through football because it's what was expected of him from everyone around him. He quit because he was tired of ignoring "God's call". And it's not like he's taken the cash and blown it off, he has done everything he said he would do, he has gone back to school and has apparently done some outreaching... Im not gonna deny he quit, but if he quit because of his religious view and his will to finish his education, I don't see why there's any reason to rip the guy personally. Carrying a loaded gun in a concealed location is legal in Florida, the compartment that it was in was closed, he did nothing wrong by having the gun where it was. And there is a difference between buying a gun with the intention to kill, and the intention to protect yourself. In the interview he brings up two cases where his life was possibly in danger when he was a sophomore. that was before he "found Christ", he purchased a gun at that time as well, the same gun that was in his car. There is nothing wrong with having a gun in a concealed area in your car for protection-- I wouldn't do it because i've been taught that Jesus is enough, but it has been noted in the Bible even that some of Jesus' disciples carried weapons to protect themselves. Driving an unregistered and/or uninsured car may be a bad thing, but even when you believe in any God your still human, and still make mistakes. Tons of people get in trouble for it a day who are Christians, there are people who get in trouble of doing it and they aren't Christians but they have never been in trouble with the law before. As far as we know it was his car, so it's not like he stole it, it's bad. Same goes for speeding... Everybody speeds when they are driving, he just happened to of been caught. As far as I see he's just a guy who's doing everything he can to live the way he said he was going to when retired... And this whole thing is getting overblown. -
wait... Is their a deadline for this? lol.

Not surprised... But disappointed... =/

Ex-49ers RB Coffee: The NFL ruins lives
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F replied to BLUE's topic in General NFL Talk
He played a full season in the NFL, it's not like he just came in, signed a contract to get paid and chucked up the deuces. And im pretty sure (though I could be wrong) that he even said when this whole thing first broke out that he always thought in the back of his head he was doing the wrong thing, "not listening to God," and that he decided after a year that he was "tired of not pleasing God". This is exactly how I feel. The guy seems humble, seems like he has his head on straight. He's got a view and so far he has stuck with it. IMO until he does something that truly contradicts anything he's done, I don't see any reason for hating on the guy for his decision. -
Second render in the background isn't necessary imo. Im also not a fan of one side extremely dark like it is. Like was you did with the text. though.

Ex-49ers RB Coffee: The NFL ruins lives

A guy goes into the NFL, and after a year decides to leave because he wants to pursue his religious beliefs, and get an education and all the sudden he's a 'douchebag'? a 'hypocrite'? That's an unfair judgement. He never said there was a thing wrong with trying to get money, he said their is something wrong with pursuing money and making it the be all end all. He's simply implying that there is more to life then just 'paper chasing' and it's true. -
lmao... I don't even know what an elitist means... >_>
-
lmao, I'd be damned if ever... But I hate to sound kinda 'lame' but I wear New Era fitted baseball hats to match my shoes, which usually match my shirt. I didn't really care about the team that it featured if it was a baseball hat or a basketball hat. When I was in High School me and my close friends called ourselves 'The Elites'... And our attire everyday at school consisted of Dunks or Jordans, and a baseball hat. But im in college now, and none of my high school friends are there and im growing a fro and that shit just looks lame now. Which is why im trynna sell all my shit.

How long do we have for this? And can you update you thing with whoever already sent in their sigs?
-
While I agree that Freeman is better, idk about being much better, not going to say they didn't play well or anything, but especially Bradford. Wins and losses aside, the original argument is more relating to which QB performs better. And imo Joe Flacco has performed better, at least so far. Granted they have both been pretty bad in the postseason.

Update - Report: NFL could have new CBA in 2-3 weeks
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F replied to BLUE's topic in General NFL Talk
Players were banking on something happening and it ended up not happening. The Owners have a lot of leverage... And a deal could be done very soon... Although im not buyin it till it happens. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/05/16/report-breakthrough-in-talks/ -
I'll take Flacco. He's never had a receiver like White, and has had continuous success on offense. Although, I almost voted for Henne because im not a fan of either.

Colt McCoy had trouble getting the ball deep last season.
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F replied to Turry's topic in AFC
regardless of whomever is receiving the ball, the fact that he struggled with passes deeper then 20 yards should come to nobody's surprise. With his accuracy and the system that they'll be running next year it wont matter as much, but his arm strentgh, and accuracy with deep throws is more then just suspect. Im still not sold in the least in McCoy, but he should be at least decent in their WCO. -
These are the hats I have left: I had a few more including 2 Tigers ones and some colorful ones but I sold those. Only ones I still have are the boring ones cause no one will buy them. I stopped wearing hats when I decided to let my fro grow out so my hat wearing days are long gone.

One of the analysts on NFLN mentioned something during the wrap up show that I found interesting regarding Greg Jennings. She said there were 14 receivers selected in the top 100, and Greg Jennings was #12 on that list... Should be interesting to see who's ahead of him. lol.

not bad, the background is a little distracting. But you are vastly improving.

i'd move the text down, and light it up a bit. not bad, though.

gave it a go as well.
