His junior year he was extremely explosive, sideline to sideline guy with a lot of good instincts. But he added weight to move inside and it really shows, he's lost a lot of his athleticism and he played horrible in the senior bowl. He isn't very strong, and has trouble with getting off of blockers and his coverage skills aren't the best. Still very explosive though, and has a nose for the football.... Kinda wanted Detroit to grab him.

Don't hate the pick, don't love it either... Going to be a project player. Although Im kinda mad the Patriots got Marcus Cannon...

I think you need to take a step back... And breathe... It's no secret, everyone has known all along that Kevin Smith was going to be let go, he has been plagued with injuries, and everyone knew his time here was over. Bryant Johnson or Derrick Williams wil be let go, or cut, the Lions have been looking for a guy to go opposite of CJ who could take pressure away deep, and on underneath routes, and both of these guys have been nothing short of disapointments. And two worse draft picks in the history of the world? Let's be realistic here. Titus Young is being considered a step less explosive then Desean, and Mikel LeShoure was #1 over Ingram in a lot of people's position rankings. Where we got him was great value. It could of been much worse...

Im kinda hoping that either Cannon, Sturdivant, or Wright are available when we pick at 5... But... bpa bpa bpa.

Every team before they make their pick look at their personal big board, and then discuss with their scouts who they should pick based on where they have them ranked... Which is based on tape, how they fit into the particular system of the team, talent, and personal workouts... So lemme get this straight.... You work for the Lions, and your personal scouts had personal workouts with the players the Lions drafted... And from what you saw, and from what your scouts saw, they were mediocre... Right...? It's one thing to question the position that was picked, it's another to question the players that were taken. And it's unfair to assess how well a player is that a team drafted until they have played, so really, just because YOU believe they are good, by no means does that make them good in the LIONS books.

Very satisfied with our selections. Im actually getting excited over our drafts. Only time will tell if these draft picks make a huge impact, but you can't deny their talent, and that's the biggest indication that they should succeed. I'll let things play out on the field. But I am excited.

I called the Vikes getting a TE in the 3rd, but a 2nd works too. I was a little puzzled with our pick at first, not because I didn't like it, but I thought they would go somewhere else... But this pick makes a lot of sense, and it makes out offense ever so much more explosive... Really liking this draft.

Wouldn't be surprised at this rate if Bowers falls to the Lions... Should be interesting to see if they bite... I love the NFL draft. rofl.

Hopefully these defensive and offensive talents keep dropping to 44, that way the Lions can make another move at one. I am too excited for whomever the Lions take next... And I don't even have a clue who it'll be.

Vikings probably wanted Ponder the whole time, but couldn't trade back for him, so instead of risking any chances of losing him, they took the guy they believed in. Can't knock them for that. Although I am no fan of Ponder, and I don't ever see him being all that successful, this was a good move for the franchise.

Absolutely love our pick, disappointed it was not Prince, but I knew once I saw Nick on the board, that Prince was not gonna be the pick. Our strength is becoming an even bigger strength, probably one of, if not the best pick in this year's draft at least as far as 1st round goes. Much applause to Schwartz for this pick. I also like what the Saints did, Bears, Giants, Cardinals and Panthers IMO also did a very good job. Not a fan of the Eagles, Vikings and Broncos picks. Oh, yeah.. and... I am one happy cookie. ^_^
