  1. I'm going to call that one even, I think he'll throw 25 on the nose. Not an overly talented receiving corps at the moment, Heap's getting older, etc. Plus, Flacco really hasn't impressed me since his rookie year anyway.

B/S: Someone from the AFC North wins DPOTY next year.

  2. It should come as no surprise that ESPN is absolutely in love with the Pittsburgh Steelers defense, because quite frankly, that defense alone gives them not only hours of discussion, but also hours of highlight film material.

Not really surprised, and I can't really argue with Willis being the number one guy, he's a freak of nature, no doubt. Was a nice little surprise to see Timmons in the top 20 as well.

  3. It’s no wonder that the Pittsburgh Steelers’ linebackers are considered the bread and butter of the team, and consistently being one of the best overall units in the NFL. With the sheer numbers of linebackers that find their way to Pittsburgh via the NFL draft, along with master defensive coordinator and Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback Dick LeBeau, plus linebacker mastermind Keith Butler it’s to hard to believe that the overall talent of the unit will drop off anytime soon.

  4. "I don't want that. I don't want that," said Hampton, who said he would not mind playing for Bill Cowher for Hampton's hometown Houston Texans next season -- a reference to speculation about the former Steelers coach's plans.

Nevertheless Hampton said he wants to return to play for the Steelers, and he said they've told him they want him back.

"Ain't no question I want to be here. It's all I know, but, at the same time just as it is a business for them, it's a business for me ...You never know what they're thinking. They tell me they want me here, I believe they want me here, and I want to be here. Hopefully I'll be here next year."

Pretty funny considering that's not what he said.

  5. As promised, Mike Tomlin ran Willie Parker until his wheels came off and now it's Rashard Mendenhall's turn.

Parker was leading the league in rushing entering the 15th game of the 2007 season when his leg was broken. He finished with 1,316 yards and his career was finished 20 months later.

Parker carried 337 times in 2006 for 1,494 yards and 321 times in 2007, when he would have had another 40-50 carries had his injury not occurred.
