  1. lol, I remember when Serrated Shadow over at SJ completely blew his load when the Ravens signed Houshmandzadeh.

Boldin+Mason+Housh=Best Receiving Corp in the league. Bar None, game over man. Game Over!

Not only is Housh completely washed up, but he's got attitude problems, to boot. Surprised that not many people have taken into account that he's a diva.

  2. Based on stats from last year who would have to go with Brandon Lloyd, he put up ridiculous stats and in a few of those games he had Tebow throwing to him. He was by far the best in the NFL last year and if he can find consistently then I could happily say he was the best in the league.

Uh, this thread is based on who is the best deep threat wideout. Putting up ''ridiculous stats'' doesn't automatically equal being the best deep thread WR. Get a clue.

Anyways, it's easily Wallace for me.

    Hell, let's compare highlights...

No doubt that Lloyd is very skilled, but he doesn't compare at all to a true deep threat like Wallace.

  3. Sure he was good but he's still overrated. How he or any other rookie CB makes anyone's top 10 CB list is beyond me. Call me a homer, but if you look at the stats Haden and McCourty had very similar numbers last year and Haden only started 7 games while McCourty started all 16. Had Haden started the whole season like he should have he would have easily, EASILY surpassed McCourty's numbers. But you don't see everyone on ESPN sucking his sack like they do with McCourty.

    Here's a little stat comparison:

GS Total Tackles Pass Defended INT's

    Haden: 7 57 18 6

    McCourty: 16 69 17 7

Here's how it would have looked had Haden started the whole season at the rate he was on like McCourty did.

GS Total Tackles Pass Defended INT's

    Haden: 16 77.5 24 12

    McCourty: 16 69 17 7

My math is probably a bit off, never was really good at it but I'm probably close. So yeah, now that Haden is our starting CB I can see his outperforming McCourty just about every year.

lol, I absolutely love people who think stats are everything, and believe that one player who has better stats than the other player clearly makes them the better player.

  4. He's overrated for what reasons? He was terrific last year, but still does not deserve to be that high on this list IMO because he was a rookie and hasn't shown he can play that well in consecutive seasons. But there's no doubt that he was VERY good last year, and if he does it again this year he should easily be considered one of the top CBs in the league...

Yeah, this. When the Pats drafted McCourty, I thought he was going to be another Ellis Hobbs, but the kid proved me wrong big time. Hell, he started impressing in training camp, and in preseason play. Don't look at his stats, and say ''oh, he grabbed 7 picks, that must be the only reason why he got recognition!''. If you (McCourty naysayers) had actually watched the games, you'd see why he was praised so much. The dude showed off some pretty suffocating coverage skills last season. He had his games where he was off, but for the majority of the season, he was pretty impressive.

BTW, here's a NY Post article from September:

When Rex Ryan met with former Rutgers cornerback Devin McCourty in Piscataway before April's draft, the cornerback reminded Ryan of one of his players.

"I'm not talking about the type of player, but just the kind of passion he has, he reminds you of Darrelle (Revis), a guy that just eats it up and loves playing," Ryan said. "Their coach told me he had over 100 snaps in one game, because he played a ton of snaps on defense, and he played all the special teams.

"The kid is legit ... there's no question about it. He's a great kid."

The Patriots took McCourty with the 27th pick, two spots before the Jets chose another corner, former Boise State star Kyle Wilson. Ryan said he wasn't surprised McCourty has already locked down a starting spot in the Patriots' secondary.

"We loved him, too," Ryan said. "I think he went (two) picks in front of Kyle, but both those guys were right next to each other."

  5. 1st priority should be to re-sign Mankins. Then maybe go out and sign a right guard, because I don't want another year of Dan Connolly.

Connolly filled in pretty nicely for Mankins last season. Actually, he was really fucking good filling in for Mankins.

I wouldn't lose sleep over the Pats not being able to re-sign Mankins. Yes, he's a very good OL, but he's not exactly as great as everyone hypes him up to be. Considering the Pats aren't completely dependent on him, and have players that can step up, I can live without Mankins.

  6. AH FML

No no no I am not a Eagles fan, I work with a dude who follows the NFL and I left my phone by the counter with FB on so yea hence the status after and both getting deleted.

    Not buying it.

No surprise that there's significantly more Giant fans than Jet fans. The Jets are basically the the retarded stepbrother compared to the Giants in this specific area lol. Also surprised that the numbers are that low for the Steelers and Cowboys. There's a shit ton of them around here.

  8. Joe Haden. I know Mccourty had more INTs and made the pro bowl (not sure if Haden did or not) but Mccourty's team was often ahead so the other team had to pass lots and frankly lots of his INTs were just lucky. I think that he is overrated.

It was his suffocating coverage skills more so than his INT total that impressed people who actually watched him play. Absolutely love the people who say ''HE ONLY WENT TO THE PRO BOWL BECAUSE HE RACKED UP A BUNCH OF INTERCEPTIONS!!1111 OVERRATED!!!!!1111111''.

    Lawrence Timmons or Patrick Willis?

Timmons is pretty fucking good, but Willis is just an absolute beast. :yep:

    Dallas Clark or Jason Witten?

  9. It's also hard to imagine Barber in New England, where the credo that no one player is bigger than the team is a practice, and not a cliche.

Not to mention that the Pats already have BJGE, Vereen, Woodhead, and Ridley in their backfield. Not feasible at all.

Go play in some shitty indoor football league, Tiki.
