Adrian Peterson: He's just everything you want in a RB. He has so many attributes and skills in his run game. He's lightning fast, can juke guys out of their shoes, and he can run you over and push a pile forward. Now many players over the years have been good in these areas, but I’ve never seen one that was so dominant in ALL THREE of those aspects. Jaws at ESPN made a good point awhile back saying, that what AP does the best is his lateral agility. He has superb field vision and seems to know where every player is on the field. Defenses have to try to over-pursue him to account for his dangerous break away ability, and his ability to cut back and still maintain that burst of speed is something that hasn’t really been seen in a running back at this level before. Paired with his size he’s just a beast to bring down. I've said for years that Barry Sanders was by far the best RB I ever watched. Peterson is making his own case!!

    Michael Strahan or Simeon Rice

No I dont think so...it is pretty obvious who the better defensive end is! C'mon man facts are facts look it up. Yeah, maybe one tops the other in certain areas, but Strahan comes out on top in most. Here's a little something, Strahan was hurt his first year in the league which was '93. He played in only 9 games due to injuries..In '04 injured again only played in 8 games. And in '06 injured again only played 9. Rice his only injury came in '06 as well, played 8 games. Now Strahan played 14 years total. Rice played 13 years total. Strahan still OUT PERFORMED HIM in pretty much the same amount of time. That includes injuries. Ultimately a sack is a sack, whether it comes from the right or left side, I dont care how you look at it. If getting sacks was FAR easier against right tackles than left tackles, then wouldn't ALL elite pass rushers be matched up against right tackles?
  3. Maybe it was ...DOUBLE BUBBLE? LOL

Best RB + WR combo in the NFL?

Buccaneers, Martin and Jackson for me. Given that both put up the second best single-season totals in team receiving yardage and yards from scrimmage, I think its safe to say they formed the most prolific duo ever for the Buccaneers. Also thats the first WR-RB pair to play in an all-star game together in their franchise history. If they continue what they are doing, they could make Hawaii an annual trip! Very productive and promising combo here!
  5. I guess this says it all right here...
  6. Yep! Well said dutch! I could not agree with you more. It's such a shame that these players who have everything..throw it all away! I just find it difficult to understand what they are thinking when they do things that make them end up the target of law enforcement. Such a waste...but no matter the outcome, his life is about to change in a pretty major way.
  7. @BoneKrusher....remember these guys? Aussie Rock band from late 70's early 80's...Angry Anderson the little midget like guy on vocals. lol GnR did a cover of their song Nice Boys (Dont play RnR)

    Michael Strahan or Simeon Rice

OOPs...lol Your right! Thanks for catching that! I meant to say defensive ends/pass rushers all-time. Sorry my mistake! Typed to fast...I'll fix that.

    Michael Strahan or Simeon Rice

Strahan obviously! He's one of the top 5 best defensive ends of all time. He's got a career total of 141.5 sacks (5th All-Time), 1 Saftey, 24 forced fumbles, 667 Tackles, 187 assisted tackles, 4 Interceptions, 2 TD's, Single Season Sacks Record Holder, a Super Bowl Ring, and played for 1 team his entire career. Though I think Bruce Smith vs. Reggie White would have made a better dicussion? IMO!
  10. It’s obvious Hernandez was involved in this situation in some way or another and while I have no idea if he shot and killed that person, the things that have happened up until this point do not favor him..AT ALL! Good decision by the Pats as well. They know what those charges are. The DA probably gave the Pats organization the heads up. Hernandez made the bed he will lye in....Dumb SOB!

Predict the best receiving corps 2013

With the addition of Wes Welker, I can strongly say the Broncos now have the best one in the NFL. The Packers and Falcons WR units really stood out last year. Aaron Rodgers plays a big role in that of course, as he can make almost any receiver look like a superstar, as you see what Randall Cobb did. The Falcons Julio Jones, Roddy White, and Tony Gonzalez all posted great seasons, but I think the Broncos have jumped in front of the two teams after the Welker pickup.

    Tight Ends: Rank 'em

1- Jimmy Graham 2- Jason Witten 3- Rob Gronkowski 4- Tony Gonzalez 5- Vernon Davis 6- Heath Miller 7- Owen Daniels 8- Antonio Gates 9- Greg Olsen 10- Dennis Pitta Sleeper pick for 2013- TE Jared Cook The best thing that happened to Cook was getting the hell out of Tennessee. Rams gave Cook $19 million in guaranteed money, Fisher is going to use him A LOT! Sam Bradford‘s new favorite target.
  15. Love these guys. They grew up and formed about 20 min from me in the Long Island town of Massapequa, NY.
  16. IDK! I guess I would say none of them. I have to agree with Favre4ever,Butta55 and oochymp. It's so rare that great players make for great coaches. The great coaches who have been former players were usually fringe players that did not have the athletic ability that their colleagues had but made up for it with a great understanding of the game. Lets see...the two most successful great NFL players that became head coaches in the last 50 years would have to be Mike Ditka and Art Shell. And Mike Singletary comes to mind as terrible coach, great player! But I'm sure theres a few others that I just cant think of right now. But you just can't really predict stuff like this accurately.
  17. Ha Ha..Mathews? Thats a good one, and obviously not rare enough to make my list! Next question..LOL! I agree AND disagree with you on that, and please don't go by PFF or FO, cause personally I don't trust either sites perspective or grading system on a number of levels. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Spiller, no disrespect to him. He is a hell of a dynamic back but unfortunately he fell short on making this list, because he wasn't even the starting running back on the Bills last year.(until FJax went down) I can't have a non-starter on a top 10 list. Though this year will be different, being he should get the start over FreddyJax..We all know what Spiller can be and do: a matchup-proof tailback capable of taking over games by himself. Just needs more touches and the confidence of his coaching staff, which he should have this year under Marrone. If you think his 2012 stats were good, then 2013 could be the year that Spiller cements himself as one of the game's best at his position. And 2,000 all-purpose yards? Absolutely, I can see that easily happening!
  18. 1. Adrian Peterson - 348 carries, 2,097 rushing yards, 12 TD’s, 40 receptions, 217 receiving yards, 1 TD. No need to say anything after the season he had coming off of knee surgery? 2. Marshawn Lynch - 315 carries, 1,590 rushing yards, 11 TD’s, 23 receptions, 196 receiving yards, 1 TD. Beast Mode! 3. Arian Foster - 351 carries, 1,424 receiving yards, 15 TD’s, 20 receptions, 217 receiving yards, 2 TD’s. 4. Jamaal Charles - 285 carries, 1,509 rushing yards, 5 rushing TD’s, 35 receptions, 236 receiving yards, 1 TD. With the Chiefs being really bad and Charles’ returning from knee surgery as well? WOW! 5. Alfred Morris - 335 carries, 1,613 rushing yards, 13 rushing TD’s, 11 receptions for 77 yards. This guy was a 6th rd pick? 6. Doug Martin - 319 carries, 1,454 rushing yards, 11 TD’s, 49 receptions, 472 receiving yards, 1 TD. He is coming off one of the best rookie seasons ever! You go Muscle Hamster! 7. Ray Rice - 257 carries, 1,143 rushing yards, 9 rushing TD’s, 61 receptions, 478 yards and 1 TD. Could have been higher, but Bernard Pierce took a good bite out of his workload. 8. Frank Gore - 258 carries, 1,214 yards, 8 rushing TD’s, 28 receptions, 234 yards and 1 TD. He topped 1,000 yards in six of the past seven years. Still plenty left in the tank. 9. Matt Forte - 248 carries, 1,094 yards rushing, 5 rushing TD’s, 44 receptions, 340 yards and 1 TD. You're not only getting a good quality running back, but a quality receiver as well. Versatile! 10. LeSean McCoy - 200 carries, 840 rushing yards, 2 rushing TD’s, 54 receptions, 373 receiving yards, 3 TD’s. I know he should be higher, but despite missing several games last year and being in a heavily pass happy Andy Reid offense? I can see 2013 as a turnaround year for him, because of the offense Kelly may run in Philly. It should give McCoy more opportunities to touch the ball as opposed to what Reid ran. But still, you cannot deny his impact on his team and their offensive production. Very Scary back! If you think i left someone off the list that should be on it. Please, let me hear it! You won't hurt my feelings. LoL! :grinno:
