Which Young QB Would You Build A Team With?
Ravensdan replied to butta54's topic in General NFL Talk
I consider luck and Wilson 1a and 1b. They have the best understanding of the game and all the tools to get it done. I don't care for the other 2 in the least Stafford especially is totally overrated and would be out of the league w/o megaton. He is very inaccurate and does not read defenses well and has already had several injuries. Cam has the possibility to mature but I don't think he has what it takes upstairs to really lead any team. -
If you could add anyone, which one player from another team would you add?

Watt would certainly be a game changer for nearly any team. But I think I would rank a solid cornerstone to the o line as the number one priority. I would take Matt Kalil. -

I actually think Darren sproles or David Wilson(younger) would be ideal fits for what Detroit wants to do. A playmaking do everything safety would be my choice for Detroit. Eric weddle. -

Really why do you think they won't do well in the playoffs? -

They wouldn't be any better than they were this past year. You are going to go from personel build to pass 50 x a game to a power running game? That is fantasy. -
I'll buy that. I actually like nearly all of their moves. Don't think they needed revis. If they can put together all of their pieces and perform as a strong defense and get a consistent performance from their qb they will win the south going away b

Actually the ravens do exactly what mike Nolan did in 2009. He will line up as both. The ravens run a hybrid defense with versatile players(remember where Nolan came from?). He is also lining up opposite a fully healthy Suggs. Pretty much the best all around olb in the game. Who exactly does miller have now? -

I don't think rivers is the problem. They had a bad o line. All of their offensive weapons have been disappointments if late. Meachem, gates, Mathews. And they were running an archaic offensive system. Similar to what was happening in Baltimore before Cameron was fired. Unfortunately for rivers they need to rebuild. -
I know jones is a bit unconventional answer but I wanted to be different lol McCoy over David in the south?

Is that really much of a debate anymore? Flacco just had a joe Montana like playoff run after 5 straight years winning at least one playoff game. I like Ben but if your leader is hobbled every year what good is he? If you are still debating this you are not paying attention.

Bitter? I'm sure Peyton will love being reacquainted on opening day. Without Denver's fluke returns that game is a blowout. I expect the same. -

Jj watt is hard to resist but for the ravens I will take Matt Kalil young dominant lt just starting his career. -

That might win you a fantasy football league but stafford will still be your qb with one of the worst secondaries in football. So the playoff drought will continue. -

Baltimore and New England have the two most important things in common consistency and clutch jn the playoffs. You do realize that when Baltimore wins in the playoffs for the sixth straight year they will begin breaking all time playoff win records. Brady has been consistently winning year after year and belicheck and tomlin are the only two coaches who can really challenge harbaugh in the afc. You mention a bunch of overrated teams as taking over the afc here. Denver added an aging slot receiver to replace another which will mean nothing because Peyton does not play well in the playoffs which is the only thing that matters. Oh he'll have 4000+ yards and 37+ Tds and another first rd playoff debacle. Houston and cincy don't have the qbs to step up and win playoff games. Miami is a serious joke. You must be watching too much espn. They "won" the offseason by overpaying as many middling free agents as possible. Because that worked so well for the eagles dream team. While Ozzie brings in underrated tough impact players like doom, canty, spears huff etc all for less than just Kruger got from the browns. Face fact Ozzie is playing chess and these other teams are playing checkers. This raves team is unquestionably better than last years. -

Wow that seems like really low expectations for the pats. To me the afc will be decided by Baltimore v New England in a third straight title game. The steelers are the dark horse contender if they can stay healthy. All the other afc teams are limited by playoff qb play and or all around inexperience.
