  1. As a lifelong Seahawks fan, here's my my best unbiased effort as why most fans hate us, and will inevitably be rooting for the Broncos. First it's Seattle, a lot of people just don't like the rainy north west, including a large chunk of the media. Pete Carroll, he's a former USC guy, so there's a knock right there. Throw in how he left SC and the hate list grows. Some people just don't like his cavalier attitude. I never liked him with the Pats. Richard Sherman, if he played anywhere else I probably wouldn't like the guy, but he doesn't, so there's that, self explanatory. The fan base. ok, there's a lot of shit talk, but it is generally aimed at a few specific teams. The last two seasons has brought out more, but Seattle hasn't had a lot to be excited about all of sports wise in a long time. Are there bandwagon fans, of course, what team on a roll doesn't ? However, combine it with the first two points, and people are going to hate. The ped's. I don't think we are truly and higher than the average. The most penalized team in the league. I don't have stats for this, but I think a lot of it is is stupid oline penalties, partly due to injury fill ins, but really going all the way back to the Carolina game. But hey, reasons be damned, we're the ones in the Super Bowl, and people are gonna hate. All that being said, I've hated the Broncos since Elway and our AFC West days, GO HAWKS!

    Most disappointing players of 2013

I think Rice did just fine this year, before he got hurt. he was never supposed to be the number one reciever, harvin was; which directly leads me to him. I didn't expect him to play a full season, but what was it, like one half, 'cmon. Also, sticking with injuries, I'm tired of Okung getting hurt so much. I may be a little biased here, he's good, but he is just never going to fill Walter Jones' shoes. I'm also dissapointed with Josh Freeman. I didn't expect him to suddenly become one of the leagues premire QB's but I was looking forward to seeing him progress this year, contract season and all, not practicly play himself out of the league. Oh, and I'm glad to see no one has listed Joe Flacco, he performed right about where I expected him too.
  3. Lawrence Taylor and . . . I guess Jim Brown, but damn offensively I could go a few ways.

The 2014 List of Hall of Fame Nominees

I was able to get it down to 20 pretty easy, from there it's a bit of a crap shoot. Walter Jones Steve Sabol Nate Newton Marvin Harrison Terrell Davis

    Bware's Upset Scenarios: Week 1

I couldn't watch the game, so all I have is the stats to go off of, but it seems the Broncos will do just fine this year, their division is a joke for starters, but the addition of Welker is a perfect fit for Manning. Not a lot of yards, but I'd be surprised to find out if most of the 9 receptions weren't drive extending first downs, from a second or third look Peyton didn't have last year. When they get Von Miller back, the result is obvious, but also realize the running game will improve if they can get their o-line healthy. I always thought Peyton was the polar opposite of his brother in terms of near perfect in the regular season, but, well, not exactly clutch in the playoffs. However in the AFC on the whole, they have a better than fair shot at reaching the superbowl.
  8. There is nothing new about running quarterback being at risk. Just from the 90's on, look at Steve Young's concussions,Michael Vick's injuries, and of course RG3. That being said, mobile qb's isn't even a new tactic. I think you just see more pure athletes these days starting at qb, as opposed to say wide receiver, and developing better pure passing skills by the time they reach the NFL, making them them a larger threat. Typically though these guys aren't built like big Ben, and are less suited to taking crushing blows as a ball carrier, so there will continue to be injuries. As defenses adapt and look to lay these hits, so will offenses by using the run as the occasional play when it fits the defensive formation. While the running qb will never be the prototype, they will not just simply go away, they will just adapt their game as well, by going back to sliding rather than extend the play another couple of yards, an old tactic i think RG3 will now be more accustomed too. That's the thing about the NFL, it has and always will be be an ever adapting scheme of play, but when something works, it's not going to disappear just because the defense learns new ways of containment.

    Build Your Dream Team

If I kept him on the roster it would be the only way he'd get on the field, really didn't think about that one, just knew I'd have Harvin as KR. In reality, I'm not sure if it's worth the risk to have Harvin out there returning kicks for the Hawks every Sunday.

    Build Your Dream Team

I couldn't narrow it down in spots, so I just decided to include my 45 man game day roster. I have a few guys playing out of position, but it would not worry me in the slightest. I have depth, for situational rotations. My defense would be the 3-4, with a fully capable Nickle Package. Also, in reality I would drop a running back or two, and pick up another safety, but like I said, I could not choose between the bottom 2-3. I also I realize I am very heavy on Seattle, and while Unger(run blocking up middle) and Wagner(3rd on depth chart)may well be stretches, my homerism was not intentional. Which Young QB Would You Build A Team With?

My bad on the double post. I tried to edit, and the lack of sleep and using the phone combo didn't work right.

Which Young QB Would You Build A Team With?

I agree with you Kemp on Cam's ego. I like Staford , I just think injuries will stick with him throughout his career, and the knees are just too big a question mark with RG3, being as I have options. I think Luck does have the potential to truly be great, and the best QB taken last year. so I guess my pick is biased, but I love Wilson's threat to run, but the fact it's not what he looks to first, or even second. Also his mental understanding of the game, at this stage, I feel gives him the edge over Luck in the win now side of the game, or at least I'm hoping.

    Hard Knocks 2013

Seattle simply because their secondary alone would make for good television. Throw Beast Mode into the mix, and cmon, even if I wasn't a homer I'd watch that. However, since I am a die hard fan, and this is their best team I've ever seen, including '05, that distraction is the 3rd to last thing I want (sophomore slump and injuries first). Philly of course would be interesting, to see Chip Kelly's foray into the league. I would say NYJ and the fiasco that Ryan and Sanchez will dissolve into, but the media will cover that just fine as is, I'm sure. Ultimately though, I want to see the Bucs. Their highly revamped defense for one, but I liked Josh Freeman even at K-State, and want to see behind the scenes as he goes into a contract, and what I think is a make it big or bust year in Tampa.
