    Top 10 Safeties

I guess to me I saw a guy that took a few more chances than these other two which in college can work and eventually can work in the pros as you mature in the game but rookie year I think his aggressiveness will hurt him a bit. I know people hate this reasoning but level of competition that the other two went up against plays a little bit into it as well of how at least in my opinion they will do in their rookie year.

Best RB + WR combo in the NFL?

I picked the Texans but part of that could be the two of them have the better opportunity to succeed or at least have compared to that of Marshall and Forte. I kind of forgot about the two of them. Personally I would take Marshall over VJ as I think he has the better all around game where VJ seems to be more of a vertical threat. After watching Marshall with the Broncos the guy could be a top 2-3 receiver in this league if he really wanted to be. I question his mental toughness from week to week so that knocks him back a few pegs.

I think down the road Cyprien shows himself to be better than those two. He is a bit more of a project which is probably why the other two were taken in front of him. Football skills wise though I would take Cyrpien over those two guys in a heart beat. Definitely would have been pretty excited to see the Broncos pick him but interested to see if Moore can have a break out year (more in the turnover category) this season.
  4. I voted for Christian Ponder. The kid has probably the best situation of all of these guys with the running game and receiving threats that he has. He has the least number of excuses of all of them.

Predict the best receiving corps 2013

Oh I agree defenses haven't forgotten about him but more whenever you hear analysts talking about the top TE's it just seems I rarely hear his name mentioned with the top guys. Now I don't think he is on the level of Vernon Davis, Gronk, or Graham but I would put him in that next tier at this point.

Predict the best receiving corps 2013

I voted for the Broncos as I do think they will end up with around 3300 yards between them (doesn't mean I think there will be 3 1,000 yard receivers) and quite a few touchdowns. A group though that I think if healthy could do well is the Cowboys. Dez Bryant if he can keep his head on straight is top 10 in this league, Miles Austin when healthy is a good to great number 2 receiver, and Witten seems to be the forgotten TE sometimes even though he always seems to be near the top in yards for TE's.
  7. As much as I like RGIII and Wilson for me it would come down to Cam and Luck. Cam if he can get his head on straight could be one of the hardest players to game plan for on a weekly basis and the fact that he is a bit bigger I trust him to handle being able to run a bit more than Wilson and RGIII. Most likely though I would choose Luck. The guy in my opinion has the best head of them all and for a quarterback nothing is more valuable. I actually expect him to have the biggest season of them all this year. The Colts added a lot of young talent around him last year, added to the OL talent, hired his old OC, and if Bradshaw can stay healthy should have an improved run game.

    NFL top 100 1-10

If I had to pick the order I would go... 1. JJ Watt-I know some would wonder why I wouldn't put Adrian Peterson here. Peterson wasn't the only one that had an historical season. Some could argue Watt just had one of the top 3 defensive seasons in NFL history. 2. AP-The dude just carried an average team on is back to the playoffs. Definitely something few players that are not quarterbacks can claim to be able to do. 3. Calvin Johnson-Again another historical season. The fact that he was able to do it even without much of a secondary weapon should show just how good this guy is. 4. Aaron Rodgers-Now the quarterbacks on this list I think most of them you could substitute any of them in and get a pretty similar player at least in talent wise. Rodgers for me still rises to the top over the others. 5. Peyton Manning-What he did this past season is beyond words. I don't think anybody saw him doing what he did. 6. Tom Brady-The guy just seems like a robot. No matter who you put around him he just keeps producing. This year could be one of the more trying for him and am very interested to see how he handles so many new faces and controversies. 7. Von Miller-If it was not for JJ Watt stealing the show this past year this guys season would have been talked about even more. Very excited to be a Bronco fan and have this guy on my team. 8. Patrick Willis-This guy could go down in the top 2-3 MLB's in NFL history when he is done. He is just that good. 9. Aldon Smith-Like many of you not as impressed with his numbers. Yes he put up good sack numbers but has proven he needs talent around him to do what he does. If he continues to develop though I can see him being a top 10 player in this league in the near future. Just didn't quite think he was deserving of it quite yet. 10. Arian Foster-This guy is like the energizer bunny. He just keeps going and putting up numbers. Like Smith above don't know if he is deserving of top 10 but think this is more of a career pick than his actual numbers from last season type thing. Personally I would have Geno Atkins, Drew Brees, and maybe Andre Johnson over these last 2.
  9. Carries in college does not translate to length of career in the NFL. There are plenty of players in the NFL right now who had a ton of carries in college that are doing just fine and having long careers. Ray Rice is a great example as he had over 900 carries in just 3 years in college and yet has gone on to have a very productive NFL career with very few injuries. On the other side of the coin with Lacy there were teams completely taking him off their draft boards because of the injury history especially the most recent surgeries he has had to have. So my question would be if a guy carries the ball 900 times and has 0 injuries compared to a guy that carries 200 times and has multiple injuries which one is going to be more injury prone in their NFL career? Also Ball was not banged up all season. He received a concussion before the season started when he was assaulted but after the first few games of the season had no signs of that affecting his game.

    Buy or Sell

Sell...He has now got himself some great OL players that should open some major holes for Chris Johnson to have a bounce back year. The defense will struggle some but I think they should be able to control the clock. Locker won't have a special year but as long as he doesn't throw a ton of interceptions they should be a middle of the pack team. B/S: 3 Quarterbacks once again throw for over 5,000 yards.
  11. My point was geared towards those who said Quarterbacks do not make the best coaches. Dan Reeves played quarterback in college and Gary Kubiak is another off the top of my head. Looking at a list of players turned coaches they seem to come from all over the field except for WR and RB. I can't think of any of those that have become head coaches.
  12. I know jim played quarterback though in the nfl
  13. Weren't both harbaugh brothers quarterbacks?

    Top 10 QBs

Haha this one made me laugh quite a bit. Thank you for this. It always cracks me up that football is called the ultimate team sport yet then they judge quarterbacks by Superbowl rings. I understand a quarterback has the most influence on a game but still you can't call it the ultimate team sport then judge a single player by how many Superbowls he has won.

How does your team's roster stack up?

You are asking if it was a good thing for the Broncos to not have signed him even though they did try to sign him. I get that. What I am saying is if you look at the language of the contract the Broncos were essentially trying to work it where Dumervil took a pay cut for this year and made the language in the contract easier to cut him after this upcoming season. They were working to get cap help this year and the next couple of years so that they were not handcuffed by the Dumervil contract from keeping some of the younger talent. I have said that I think the defense will take a small step backwards this season because of the loss of Dumervil. The Broncos essentially though accomplished what they wanted long term in that Dumervil's contract will not hinder them from signing the younger talent after this season. So it boils down to Dumervil being gone was not expected for this season but him being gone beyond this year was expected. Because of the unexpected results of Dumervil being cut the Broncos went out and signed a guy that has pass rush ability (not quite to Dumervil's ability but still has talent) in Phillips and used the draft to find possibly find Dumervil's heir in Quanterus Smith while also bulking up the middle of the defense with Williams to make the pass rush a little more balanced throughout the DL. So your asking me was the Broncos cutting Dumervil after trying to sign him the right move? Yes it was. If he wasn't cut then the Broncos would be on the hook for his full contract paying him the $12 million this year while also then having dead money next year because of this issue. Dumervil will be in his 30's by that point which is where most take a downhill turn. With so much young talent to sign cap space is needed and unfortunately that means sometimes you have to cut a talented player to make room for a younger talent.
