Rookie/Young QB Evaluations (Week 1)
theMileHighGuy replied to BwareDWare94's topic in General NFL Talk
He's about to get hit in the 3rd one, and faced a good deal of pressure in the 1st half. One of the biggest things Collinsworth was talking about with him was how fast he was getting rid of the ball, and his release was something like .3 seconds or something. You'll get to see first hand soon -
Rams are gonna dominate this game. There's no way the scores are gonna be as low as the predictions in this this thread lol. 11 25

Rookie/Young QB Evaluations (Week 1)

Harambe not mobile? http://gfycat.com/DelayedReliableKiskadee http://gfycat.com/PastelSameAmethystgemclam This one was my favorite, pocket broke down and he got the slick sidestep then had the speed to get around the edge. http://gfycat.com/LinearWellmadeIndochinesetiger Harambe doesn't push the ball down the field to make plays? http://gfycat.com/ShyCautiousFennecfox 20 yards on a rope to Sanders. Probably the greatest spiral of all time if we're being honest. http://gfycat.com/HappyExemplaryBluefintuna http://gfycat.com/HospitableConsciousAtlanticspadefish Risky throw, if he didn't throw this perfectly it was a pick-6. Slow mo takes away from the cannon this ball was shot out of. http://gfycat.com/AmusingConcernedBuck Accuracy and velocity all night. A lot of young QBs who throw 2 picks in this big of a game would get shook as fuck. Churreh it's your player evaluation that's average . I really don't see Lynch starting this year unless Trevor starts single-handedly losing us games. On another note I thought Dak Prescott played well, I just think I was expecting too much. He has a bright future. -
Feel bad. He had some flashes in the game yesterday. Poor Browns.
-
NE has too many pieces missing. Cards roll. 17 38

It's definitely tempting with no Gronk out there. The Colts are just gonna be so bad though. Zona should be hot on defense. Chandler Jones and Cambell, no Nate Solder.
-
I'd go with Tate. Better matchup and Jimmy G could still suck.
-
AB will be contained for a good part of this game, but I think he frustrates Norman and will beat him eventually. He's impossible to cover an entire game. Norman may even spazz a bit and get called for some personal fouls which could mean an ejection with these new rules. The Steelers barely missed Bell last year to be honest with DWill filling in. It'll still be a close physical game. 25 23

I think the Jags are gonna have a 10ish win season this year, and maybe win the AFC South, but this is a rough game to start on. Rodgers will be accurate and efficient and pick them apart eventually. Don't count out some Bortles and co. fireworks though. 38 28

I like Derek Carr and Cooper in this one. Lots of new pieces on the Saints' side, and not much improvement (if any) to that shitty defense. 27 18

Game could be a coinflip. There's a lot of good story-lines to follow in this one. I really like the remake of the Falcons' offensive line this year, will be interesting to see how effective they are. If they can give Ryan some time, Bucs won't contain Julio at home... not to mention Devonte Freeman wanting to prove last year wasn't a fluke. 24 35

The Lions should win this. That front 4 shouldn't give Luck the time to get to TY and Moncrief... the Colts o-line is a mess. 31 17

That's not Stewart, it's Jared Crick. You mentioned another hit at the start of the second half so I tried to find it while I was making gifs for the official boards. That's at the end of the second quarter so I thought you might have meant that one. Either way, it's another one Panthers fans are up in arms about (for no reason). The only other hit Cam takes in the 3rd that hasn't been talked about is this one from Shaq Barrett: http://gfycat.com/WelldocumentedElaborateGorilla They're not gonna throw a flag on that, ever, for any quarterback. Hopefully Shaq will just stop and let the QB throw uncontested the next time he's in that situation. It's not late or anywhere close to Cam's helmet/chin. Cam was the victim of two bad hits in the game (Skip Bayless says one in that video). But, Panthers fans are seeing red and making it out to be like it was 10 shots to the chin hours late. Like Ray and Shannon said, don't take football out of football. I don't think the BMarsh hit is getting any attention because Cam didn't fall down or react to it on the play, even though it most certainly should be getting the most attention. Jumping that late and going straight for the head has no place in football. edit: Charles Woodson just said this exact same thing on Sportscenter this morning, almost word for word.

The Return of the Randomness Thread....

Thomas Davis hits shoulders with CJ then their helmets clap. Darian Stewart's shoulder hits Cam first, he doesn't lead with the helmet lol. http://gfycat.com/GeneralWhoppingFoxterrier This was the only hit in the second quarter. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvVG5KI-SzU Don't often agree with Ray Lewis.
-
I'm sorry, but I can't let it go. I understand you're seeing red, but look at the 3 pictures, he's aiming exactly at the numbers. The third picture, his shoulder is at the same height as the top of the 1. Cam gets hit in the back of the legs and then he drops and they hit shoulders. He never aims at his head whatsoever. This, then, should have been a penalty by your own criteria : https://zippy.gfycat.com/OilyOptimisticChihuahua.webm

Stewart only hit him once. We confirmed on the gif of all the hits that 3 and 4 were the same hit. They play hard. It's what made them the best D in the league.
-
https://twitter.com/BSNBroncos/status/774105475667271680 Not saying it wasn't illegal, not saying it shouldn't have been flagged, just saying Darian Stewart is not and has never been a dirty player, and wasn't targeting the head. His level never changed, he was going for the numbers like they're taught to do, and Cam went down. They hit shoulders first, and helmets clapped. Can't control it.

Eat a dick. Watch the fucking game and apply your metric sheet to Siemian. Poised and confident. Gary Kubiak called a conservative game with a green QB? NO WAY.
-
Definitely in this game. But that quote was suggesting that it happens all the time and that's the only reason we win any games.
-
Siemian looked great. He's played 14 college games and 0 NFL experience prior to this game. He was calm and poised and wasn't afraid to use his athleticism. He did things Manning wouldn't have had a chance of doing... like the screen pass TD to CJ where he was totally under fire. The defense was alright but it's obvious that we were missing Malik Jackson in the run game for sure. Carolina did a really good job taking Von out of the game for the most part too. Constantly? When something happens over and over something is usually the cause.

If the panthers score 30+ I'll pay pal you 5 dollars. 24-17

saw that coming

Good stuff I think he'll have a big year as Harambe's safety net. They were already developing good chemistry in camp and preseason.
