    Broncos Training Camp Updates

Twitter highlights from Monday's camp: @BroncosTV: Manning and center Manny Ramirez high-five before getting to work Monday morning http://t.co/66qaiHSBuS (apparently this guy hasn't been high-fived before) @MaseDenver: Fans continue to stretch along with the players. I believe we have seen the creation of a new Broncos tradition. Lindsay Jones ✔ @bylindsayhjones Center depth chart: Manny Ramirez, CJ Davis, Philip Blake, Quentin Saulsberry and so on. #Broncos Vic Lombardi @VicLombardi Great pass from Osweiler to the rookie Tavarres King. Oh, and Rod Smith joins us XML tonight. @MileHighReport Ryan Clady is still in sweats (limited practice), but he is testing his shoulder today. Going against other o-linemen in drills. @MileHighReport Video: Center Steve Vallos (#51) in drills. #BroncosCamp @dmac1043 Hillman not in running drills it was ball and knowshon. Hillman is in pads he just ain't in the mix @MileHighReport It's Montee Ball as first running back today, Knowshon Moreno #2. Hillman stands by, might be nursing something minor. @dmac1043 Sylvester Williams is having another great day. This guy looks like he's the real deal. Hillman basically taking day off from contact. @dmac1043 Knowshon extremely spirited during hitting. Q smith looks impressive. @dmac1043: Sylvester Williams goes down and walks off. It's an ankle or knee but he got off on his own. We'll see if he goes back in @MileHighReport: Sylvester Williams was down for a bit, limped to the sideline and now laying down. Trainer attending to his left leg/knee. #BroncosCamp @MileHighReport Ronnie Hillman back with the one's in 11-on-11, he and Montee Ball split reps. #BroncosCamp @dmac1043 2m Ok 11's done - here's some observations duke ihenacho is getting a real shot. Mike adams needs to worry. Julius Thomas may make tamme expendable. No joke. Tamme could be in trouble. I have no idea why Quentin jammer is here @dmac1043 26s Got to admit Brock looks great. I'm actually excited to see him play. I bet he does very good @MileHighReport: Quick hits from #BroncosCamp: - Scouted centers closely, none great - Knowshon Moreno best RB - Von Miller, Julius Thomas awesome @MikeKlis Sylvester williams mri ok - he's day-to-day

    Broncos Training Camp Updates

I think the top 3 are Rahim, Quinton, and Bruton. Jammer's coverage skills get him the nod over Mike Adams. However, between Quinton's sort-of-arrest and injury struggles, and Ihenacho possibly having the best camp performance so far, the final four could get all shaken up. Tough to say for certain at this juncture.

    Your team's 53-man roster

I can't see them carry 6 corners. He also sucks.
  9. theMileHighGuy

Santonio Holmes unsure if he'll play in 2013

He doesn't have much reason to play. He should take the year off and get healthy and then try to go somewhere else next year.

Update: MRI confirms Dan Koppen has ACL tear

I think Manny, Manram, Ramirez will be capable of holding down that position. Pass pro should get a little easier on him, and he was the Broncos' best inside run blocker towards the end of the season last year. I don't think very much of J.D. Walton, and Koppen was retiring. I'm not devastated.
  11. theMileHighGuy

    Your team's 53-man roster

Broncos: QB:(2) Peyton Manning, Brock Osweiler RB:(4) Ronnie Hillman, Knowshon Moreno, Montee Ball, Jacob Hester WR:(6) Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Wes Welker, Tavarres King, Greg Orton, Trindon Holiday TE:(4) Jacob Tamme, Joel Dreesen, Julius Thomas, Virgil Green OT:(4) Ryan Clady, Orlando Franklin, Chris Clark, Vinston Painter OG:(3) Zane Beadles, Louis Vasquez, Manny Ramirez OC:(2) Dan Koppen, Phillip Blake ST:(3) K, Matt Prater. P, Britton Colquitt. LS, Aaron Brewer DE:(5) Derek Wolfe, Robert Ayers, Jeremy Beal, Malik Jackson, Quanterius Smith DT:(4) Kevin Vickerson, Terrance Knighton, Sylvester Williams, Mitch Unrein LB:(7) Von Miller, Nate Irving, Wesley Woodyard, Danny Trevathan, Stewart Bradley, Shaun Phillips, Steven Johnson CB:(5) Champ Bailey, Chris Harris, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Tony Carter, Kayvon Webster S: (4) Rahim Moore, Quinton Carter, David Bruton, Duke Ihenacho Tough Cuts: Chris Kuper, injury prone but pro bowl caliber guard, getting paid too much to be a backup. Mike Adams, was solid last year but I think Jammer will beat him out.

    Broncos Training Camp Updates

Training camp, Day 3: MileHighReport @MileHighReport Manning taking snaps from Koppen instead of Ramirez during warmups. We'll see if it persists during team drills Cecil Lammey @cecillammey Working on punt return: Welker, Holliday, McDuffie, Tony Carter, Jeremiah Johnson MileHighReport @MileHighReport Ryan Clady and Lucas Reed are out but not in pads. All others present. #BroncosCamp MileHighReport @MileHighReport Still Dan Koppen at starting C on the first day of pads (when it matters). Julius Thomas with the second team today. MileHighReport @MileHighReport Manning's work ethic is on display every snap. He goes thru full motion, steps back, progressions, even during warmups. MileHighReport @MileHighReport NFL refs are here today. They'll make calls during team drills before meeting w/ players about rule changes. #BroncosCamp Darren McKee @dmac1043 Lindsey just pointed out to me trindon working w running backs. Btw if u r watching nfl network I'm standing Darren McKee @dmac1043 Now trindon is a wr. Trying to find a spot MileHighReport @MileHighReport Osweiler hands off to Moreno as Manning looks on. @MileHighReport: Here we go: pads are on, and linemen are one-on-one. #favorite #BroncosCamp @bylindsayhjones: Rahim Moore gets a pick in one on ones vs rookie wr Lamaar Thomas. Show boats to the fans, who eat it up. @bylindsayhjones: Ronnie Hillman gets first reps during 9 on 7. After a fumble, got replaced by Montee Ball. MileHighReport @MileHighReport Most impressive player in OL/DL one-on-ones: Robert Ayers. #BroncosCamp @cecillammey: Pass pro great day for Hillman and Moreno, Montee Ball got pushed around by Mike Adams #Broncos @cecillammey: I've got chills watching the pit at #Broncos training camp - OL wins today, QSmith with a strong showing @MaseDenver: Like what I see from Quanterus Smith so far. Working on a variety of moves, keeps his balance well at contact. Strong work in OL/DL drills. @cecillammey: Inside running goes to Hillman and Moreno, both with big runs that started inside then went out. MBall swallowed up on every carry so far @MaseDenver: Sylvester Williams looked better in pass-rush than run-block OL/DL drills. Very quick first step. #Broncos @cecillammey: Moreno showing great fight today as a runner - refusing to go down @cecillammey: Hillman lost his helmet in pass pro drill versus Jammer, two got into a little scrap after that Hillman victory #Broncos @bylindsayhjones: Nice day for safety Duke Ihenacho @NachoLyfe. Getting some reps in no 1 nickel package, then makes a pick off Osweiler. #Broncos @MaseDenver: Defense ahead of offense on first full-pad day. At one point, 6 consec. Manning passes fell incomplete. D was aggressive, mounting pressure. @MaseDenver: Duke Ihenacho: INT off Osweiler. Jeremiah Johnson: great day. And Trindon Holliday just got an ovation for a long punt return. @cecillammey: Montee Ball didn't gain many positive yards as a runner today, longest play was on a reception, went about seven yards #Broncos @cecillammey: Knowshon Moreno looked good today as a runner and receiver out of the backfield, impressing more than Montee did #Broncos

UPDATE: Von Miller Suspended 6 Games

It's the complete violation of privacy that gets me. They had absolutely no right to leak MDMA and shit attached to his name, especially on zero grounds. Von miller should sue the NFL for defamation.

Update: Jeremy Maclin tears ACL, done for season

Tough luck Eagles. Shame the victim of the typical Eagles start had to be Maclin, he's a fun player to watch. Wanted to see what Chip ended up doing with him. Jackson just got a lot more fantasy attractive.

Which division is going to be the best this season?

NFC West, specifically because I think the Cardinals will be a headache in that division this year. The defense is consistent and nasty, and depending on how Kevin Minter pans out they might have the second best set of backers in the division. Honey Badger is going to make some plays too, bet on it. On offense, they added a talented kid in Jonathan Cooper to sure up the interior line. That o-line is actually really good when they're healthy which has been their problem. One of the reasons I was excited to watch the Cardinals this year is because I'm a big A&M fan and loved Ryan Swope. Sucks for him, he would've had a field day underneath Fitz and Michael Floyd. They got Mendenhall who is underrated, and Ryan Williams entering year two. Palmer has been on shitty teams the last 10 years, but keeps having 25+ TD seasons. NFCW, NFCS, and AFCN are all pretty close and all will be good divisions.

    Broncos Training Camp Updates

Lol... I'm not discounting him at all. However to date he has 1 catch for 5 yards in his career. He needs to stay healthy to be a weapon. To be the biggest weapon he not only has to out-perform the best WR trio in the league, but he has to beat out two solid TEs who Manning is very comfortable with. Not to mention Virgil Greene, who was outstanding in preseason last year and can play all over the field as well as block like a guard.

    Greg Jennings, mad.

    Anaheim Ducks @ Seattle Cyclones

We've got a long climb out of the west. Nashville and Anaheim undefeated? (I'm guessing they might be 3-0-1)

I'd agree with 'secret' weapon... not biggest. Unless you mean by literal size... dude is freaking massive.

Update: Ryan Swope forced to retire

Was really shocked when I heard. Really high on him coming out of T:A&M... thought he would be a perfect receiver for Manning. I'm glad he made the right decision for his health and future. Manning would've probably gotten him killed over the middle.

    Broncos Training Camp Updates

Going to be using Trindon Holiday a lot more on offense this year it seems. I hope they know what they're doing. I know he's fast, but he has tiny baby hands and he fumbles the ball a LOT. They have some tough decisions to make at receiver. DT, Decker, Welker, King, Holiday. Do they keep 6 to retain Orton?
