AP rushing for 2,500 yards???
theMileHighGuy replied to BroadcastinMayne's topic in General NFL Talk
He's have to run like 160 yds/game. I just don't think that's possible with 9 in the box every down. He makes the most of that situation, but 400 more yards than he ran for last year? Just no way. I think they're going to be passing a little more this year maybe with Jennings and Cordarrelle. That might open it up for AP more, but it's also going to take carries away. -
This whole list pretty much sucks. I would like to go into detail but I don't even know where to begin.
-
Manning is throwing at his passing camp, so he can't be in too much pain.
-
Well that's pretty frightening. Will have to wait to hear more.
-
Forgot this guy, can't wait to see him back in the ring this weekend
-
First the RG3 stuff, now this, the sooner McNabb realizes he's not in the game anymore the better. His baseless tirades get old quick.
-
Healthy, it's MJD. But that's getting harder and harder to guarantee. I picked Charles because like AP, defenses know that he's coming and they still can't stop him. He may have a down year under Reid though.

Andy Reid will coach like Andy Reid, and abandon the run game and force Alex Smith to throw 45 times a game. I might give them 5 wins.

Sheriff's Office Prepares Zimmerman Verdict Riot Plan
theMileHighGuy replied to Jules's topic in The Sideline
Zimmerman was 'neighborhood watch,' he had every right to see him, and call the police to investigate him. The defense proved with that woman today that this area is prone to criminal activity by black teens. He shouldn't have followed him, and shouldn't have got out of his truck to stop him for 'questioning' but that is not illegal. I'm sure he thought Trayvon Martin was a thug, I'm also almost sure Martin reacted to Zimmerman's pursuit the way a thug would. Zimmerman probably bit off something he couldn't chew, and then got his ass handed to him by a big kid. Maybe he felt his life was in danger, maybe it was. Unfortunately he has the right to kill his assailant in that situation, whether he put himself into that situation or not. He will walk out of the courtroom a free man. How far he actually gets alive will be another story. There will be backlash. -

Some People Just Ought to Be Executed
theMileHighGuy replied to BwareDWare94's topic in The Sideline
Probably not. Most men don't care about being beautiful though, or worry about being fat, etc, in the same way the majority of women do. I also don't think those people would say some of those things about a man, which is part of the problem here beyond this individual case. -
What I don't like about him is that he doesn't have to tell anyone how good he is, but still does. I guess I just don't see the point. Based off history, I would say Revis is better... but based off the 'now', it's hard to put anyone above Sherm. Revis could still come out and show he's still number one though.

gotta love toughguys behind their keyboards. -
You could argue he was two miracle catches from being 0-2 in superbowls. I respect Eli, he does turn it on at times. I don't think Flacco is better than he is though. I don't think they get through the playoffs without Boldin playing out of his skin (or a little ref help...) Eli just has too many headscratcher games as well to be rated higher than some of the guys he's above.

How many games do the Eagles win in 2013?
theMileHighGuy replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in NFC
This one is arguably the toughest to predict. Depending on how this offense of Chip Kelly's translates to the NFL, they could very well make a splash this year. On paper, I can't see them in the playoffs this year, but you never know. Vick/Foles/Barkley is one thing, but the defense is also full of question marks inside and out. That division is quickly becoming one of the more competitive in the NFL. I would have a hard time putting them over .500 until we can see the product on the field. -
Very nice list, I agree with it for the most part. I think Marino is too low, if you were to rank with considerations on their situations. If you put him on Montana's 9ers, he would probably have the rings too. From a pure ability standpoint, he's in my top-5.

Update: Broncos suspend two execs for offseason DUIs
theMileHighGuy replied to KempBolt's topic in AFC
This is actually a little bit funny, when you consider Elway ousted Xanders to give this guy a promotion, and never had anything but good things to say about him at the time. I'd just like to be in these guys' heads sometime. I constantly wonder how people get themselves in these positions just flush it away. Wouldn't care at all if he got the axe. -
How many games do the Panthers win in 2013?
theMileHighGuy replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in NFC
9 games would be the ceiling for me. Everyone in the division has gotten better, tough schedule... Even if Cam takes another step forward, there are still question marks for his weapons, and some question marks on the outside of the defense. -
Kaepernick will not apologize for wearing a Dolphins hat
theMileHighGuy replied to NaTaS's topic in NFC
It's not like the guy is going to put in 80% because he's thinking about playing for the Dolphins... who cares what's on his head, it matters more what's in his head, and I'm sure that's 100% 49ers, and all anyone should really care about. I'd be willing to bet he got comped that hat and just put it on. My brother-in-law works for Coke and only drinks Pepsi. Perhaps I should behead him Also, don't forget that the NFL is a brotherhood, and a lot of these guys have a lot of respect for each other. Enough respect to wear a different hat isn't insane. -
They have a lot of young players and a lot of new players, so it's tough to guess without seeing some preseason or at the very least some training camp. If Luck doesn't slump 9-7 and back in the wildcard hunt is doable I think.

Brady has historically done more with less. I'd go Brady. If Tom terrific produces this year there will be no question.

How many games do the Broncos win in 2013?
theMileHighGuy replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in AFC
If all the 'foot on the gas' talk is more than just talk, 13 games at the very least. Easy schedule, offense will be better, defense should be stout. Unless they end up doing something stupid like letting Clady sit for a whole season, it shouldn't be a problem. -
Let's put this to bed. Give me Andrew Luck.
theMileHighGuy replied to Dutch's topic in General NFL Talk
You mean luck like replacement refs giving wins to you luck? All three should be excellent quarterbacks for years to come. I think Luck has the more sustainable game and without question the most straight up passing talent. Who knows if RG3 will get through the entire season? Russell Wilson is also obviously the benefactor of a great running game and a ridiculous defense, but really that's no slight on him. Honestly, we need to see how these kids do now that defenses have a full season of tape on them before we can truly 'put this to bed'. -
What Game Are You Currently Playing?
theMileHighGuy replied to Phenomenal TJ's topic in General Entertainment
I just got this Divinity II game off xbox cus it was on sale for 5 bucks. Not bad action RPGish type game. Surprisingly deep skill trees, leaves it open ended with what you want to do. There's not a lot of direction or anything like that, you just kind of wonder around and find the quests, so it kind of reminds me of an old school game. 7/10 or so. Also playing Company of Heroes II on pc. Haven't played a good RTS in a while, this one is pretty cool, especially if you liked the first one and/or are into the WWII stuff. Interestingly enough you play as the Russians, one of their focuses being their massive population and how you throw wave after wave of cannon fodder into the German front.
