  1. For those who've watched or are currently watching Jessica Jones I'm curious to get your opinion on this:

I was recently reading a review that suggested something interesting. The writer basically talked about the fact that the entire season is released at once forces you to reflect and review the show as a whole and not by its individual episodes. The writer talked about the structure of a show on TV gives it a natural beginning middle and end. We see this with fall finales, season finales, and even holiday episodes. But Jessica Jones is like a 13 hour movie chopped up into 13 one hour episodes with each episode being a continuation and not it's own thing.

Do you guise agree with this? And if you do...do you feel your viewing experience these Netflix shows different than shows on regular schedules?

The Netflix shows seem built for binge watching. Which is kind of Netflix's MO. I personally don't mind it, I watched all of Jessica Jones in about two sittings. Netflix isn't making their money per episode like a cable show, so it's w/e. I think for that show it works, each one kept me engaged and made me want to watch the next one, which I suppose is the point.

  2. Watched the whole season over the weekend. Was killer avoiding spoilers the last few months. The finale was awful until the post credits scene. Now the second half of the season is going to be the best ever :yep: Negan finna tear shit up.

Super glad Glenn wasn't dead, he's my favorite character. I liked his short little story with that dumb bitch Enid.

Hope Sam dies. Pussies don't get to live in this world.

  3. The Broncos do 'Shop with a Jock' every year for Denver area childrens' homes around Christmas time. They just take the kids to the toy section at wal-mart and let them loose  It doesn't really seem like much in the grand scheme, but to those kids it probably means the world.

DWare does something similar for the Boys and Girls club every year. Pretty sure he used to do it back in Dallas too.

  4. Hate Superman mythos and DC as a whole.... love Supergirl lol.

It's campy as fuck, occasionally dumb, but I'll probably watch it till it's over. The special effects hold up (Red Tornado was really cool) and I like all the supporting characters. Melissa Benoist doe

All the shows were awesome the past couple weeks. The Dumas raid on Gotham was great, Penguin still stole the show in what little scenes he got. Buuuut, Agents of Shield was the best super show on TV yet again, even with a Flash/Arrow crossover cliffhanger. Really hope they don't kill off Ward, he's such a badass. Next week's finale is gonna be crazy.

  5. It won't be a Bronco, even though it probably should, because DPOY is entirely stats based. So many different guys have sacks and tackles that no one guy has outrageous numbers...

    Some numbers:

    Von Miller - 7 sacks, 2 FF

    DWare - 6.5 sacks, 1 FF

    Malik Jackson - 3.5 sacks

    Shaq Barrett - 3.5 sacks, 3 FF

    Sly Williams - 3 sacks

    Antonio Smith - 2.5 sacks

    Shane Ray - 2 sacks

    T.J. Ward - 2 sacks, 2 FF

    Derek Wolfe - 2 sacks

    Corey Nelson - 1 sack

    Vance Walker - 1 sack

    David Bruton - 1 sack

    Lerentee McCray - .5 sacks

    Brandon Marshall - 1.5 sacks, 2 FF

I have no way, or desire really, to see if that kind of spread has ever been done before. Von and Malik have easily been top-5 defensive players this year, but they don't have gaudy stats so you probably won't see them in voting.

JJ, Josh Norman, Luke Keuchley, Kawann Short, Marcus Williams, Geno Atkins, Deonne Bucannon, Corey Graham... all guys worth a nod.

  6. We're on our 4th starter at left tackle, and were down to backups across the entire line by half-time. On D we were short DWare, and lost TJ Ward and Sly Williams (who has been the anchor of our front 7).

We got lucky though, sure. Lost two fumbles that we recovered, and the officiating definitely went our way. We got some calls that if they went against us I would be furious about. Well, to be perfectly honest just the defensive holding in the endzone. Gronk makes a living off of that chicken-wing push off and I was thrilled to see him get called for it. We were due. It had been almost 6 quarters since the last penalty called on an opponent of ours.

I was pissed when we drafted Brock Osweiler in the 2nd round all those years ago. Hated the pick, thought there were so many better QBs in the draft. I love the kid now. He's a leader, he's confident, and the game isn't too big for him. He needs to play way better, but it's a work in progress. He can run the bootleg correctly and the qb sneak. I'll be devastated in 2 weeks when we go back to Manning. :sigh:

  7. Underrated: Malik Jackson, just like last year, and likely next year as well. Brandon Marshall, Danny Trevathan, Darian Stewart... the average Joe could tell you that the Broncos have a good defense, but I doubt they could name some of the bigger contributors that aren't OLBs or CBs.

Overrated: CJ Anderson. He had a decent game last week, but he was supposed to be the man this year and has been outplayed since week 1. Our o-line is complete trash but I thought he'd do a little more.

Evan Mathis. He was supposed to be an awesome free agent signing, and he is arguably our worst pass protector. He gets push in the run game, but he's been mauled an awful lot since getting here.

  8. 20/27, 250, 2 TDs - can't really ask for any more out of him in his first start.

We had a rather conservative gameplan for the most part, but he made the most for it. It's amazing what the run game could do (170 yards) with the QB lining up under center instead of trying to run from shotgun.

  9. The Bengals defense was twice as fearsome under Zimmer. No name. Broncos defense is lightyears ahead of Vikings right now. No name. Panthers defense is doing a hell of a job. No name. They don't need a name in Minnesota. Jesus man. :shifty:

The Broncos' D has a couple names :pls:

The New Orange Crush (or just Orange Crush)

The secondary has been called No Fly Zone (by the media, too) since like week 3.

  10. I watched the first two eps... so far it is pretty boring, but it's not a bad show. Daredevil was pretty boring at first. But this whole show is about her not being a super hero, so it's probably going to stay pretty dull.

But, the Flash isn't even close to being as good as the other hero shows, so that's just :yao: at butters' taste in things :p

    Flash guess potential spoiler:

Zoom is Barry's dad from Earth 2, it's so obvious it's painful.

Can't wait to watch Barry cry about that for 2 episodes

  11. Damn, Titan Quest. That takes me back. Might have to check that out.

Haven't been playing a lot of games lately. A friend has been playing borderlands 2 for the first time so I've been playing that with them some. A little bit of fallout here and there but haven't fallen completely into it yet.

  12. The Flash:

My Name is Barry Allen and I used to be the Fastest Man Alive but then Zoom came from a parallel world and beat the shit out of me and broke my back.....now I'm paralyzed and in the wheel chair of the man who murdered my mother..... I am... the Flash!!!

Real glad that was short lived. Love Hawkgirl except her smile is :ugh:

    Gotham:

This season is kind of getting hit and miss. I loved every second of the Penguin/Riddler scenes. But that whole cannibal assassin was dumb, and a poor casting at that. The whole assassin guild was kind of not there for me either, shrug.

    AoS:

Man, I have been shipping Fitzsimmons for what feels like years, and when they finally kissed it felt super awkward like a brother and sister kissing or something. I felt it tho. That scene was incredible. I just feel like the people in this show are better actors than what the others have. This shows fight/action choreography continues to be a cut above as well. If they ever kill off Hunter, I'm out.

    Hail Hydra.

  13. Yeah... idk. I can legitimately see a few scenarios playing out that result in us losing this game. The Chiefs are much less of a wreck than the Colts.

We really, really can't afford to lose this game though.

    :Broncos: 20

    :Chiefs: 11

  14. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/france-closes-borders-after-paris-horror/ar-BBmYxzy

France has declared a state of emergency and people in Paris are being told to stay at home after at least 127 people were killed in six co-ordinated attacks across the capital.

In addition to the provisional death toll, 99 people are in a critical condition.

Earlier officials said at least 38 people died in shootings and bombings at bars, restaurants and a stadium in the capital - more than 80 are thought to have been killed at the Bataclan concert hall.

Eight attackers have been killed, the prosecutor said. Seven of them died in suicide blasts.

Security at venues across the city is being stepped up and police are hunting possible accomplices.

Speaking as as the attacks unfolded, French President Francois Hollande declared a state of emergency.

"It's a horror," Mr Hollande said.

"This is a terrible ordeal that again assails us. We know where it comes from, who these criminals are, who these terrorists are."

Crazy, and very sad. Reports were of multiple gunmen and at least 3 bombs, two of which were suicide bombers.

Interested to see what we'll do retaliation-wise. They're not even sure who is behind it at this point.
