    vs. :panthers:

I think the pass-rush is going to be even better than last year. Shane Ray and Shaq Barrett another year under their belts, Dekota Watson coming out of nowhere, and Derek Wolfe has been a man possessed in camp. I have some genuine concerns about the offensive line. There is potential but a lot of new faces in new places so I'm not sure if there's been enough time to gel. Okung is a definite plus. The offense gets better just getting Peyton Manning off the field, so as long as Harambe takes care of the football I can definitely see us pulling out this opener at home.

    vs. :Colts:

Colts are a hot mess. I think we sacked Luck 7 times last year, he's gonna get punished.

    @ :Bengals:

I think the Bengals will be a better team than they were last year, but later in the year. After two games the defense should be in full swing, and the Bengals don't have enough weapons. Likely another low scoring game, but winnable.

    @ :Bucs:

I think of all the games in the first quarter of the year, this one for some reason gives me the most pause. Early October at sea-level in south flawda. Bucs get hot at weird times. Will definitely have a better barometer on this game after seeing how the young Bucs team starts the season. On paper though, I have to say it's another win.

All in all I can see 4-0, but I definitely don't think 3-1 is out of the question dropping either the Panthers or the Bengals game. If we get killed in the Panthers game I wouldn't be shocked if we went 2-2.

  2. I feel like both Ronnie Hillman and Juwan Thompson are both NFL-capable RB's. Juwan never really got a fair shake imo, and Kubes trying to make him a FB was a huge mistake. Dude is 230 pounds and can run man. Hope they catch on somewhere.

  3. This is one of those moments that I legit feel like I know better than an NFL-level general manager. Feels good man.

All the thoughts that should've been brought up already have been. Even if you're doing this as an insurance policy if Teddy can't get back... what kind of insurance policy is that?

I feel like the Vikings could've went out and gotten another playmaker or trench guy to help out Shaun Hill and/or the D with those picks and been much better served both in the short term and the long.

  4. We cut Mark Sanchez and the Cowboys scooped him right up. We also picked up Austin Davis to be our third string guy. Huh.

As long as Sanchez isn't on the team, they can pick up whoever they want

Don't really see the need for 3 QBs at this point though...

  5. A bad pick 6, another pick yesterday, and general struggles to score touchdowns make him the best QB on the roster?

Sanchez isn't going to make the roster (or at least shouldn't) and to be honest Paxton took a step back yesterday playing with the second team.

Not a lot of people make that throw. Catch was great, but that ball was on the money. Not bad for his first full week exclusively with the 1s. His pick yesterday was a nicely thrown TD if Latimer catches the ball like he should have.

  6. Where did you pick at Vin?

12-team, standard-ish scoring, ppr. Defenses score high. Picked LeVeon #8. I don't really know what to do at TE. Don't want to drop any of these guys. Just snagged Dak and dropped Paxton Lynch.

  7. Legalizing weed would definitely help America's drinking problem. It's safer, less addictive, and personally it makes me sick af when I do both. I don't really drink much at all anymore. I don't really go out, or go to that many parties as I've gotten older, and I def don't mind skipping the empty calories.

  8. Backup OL causing issues? Lynch has faced next to no pressure.

Start him anyway. Sanchez and Trevor suck ass.

What're you talking about? I think he's been sacked 3 times in each game. If not for his athleticism it would be more than that.

The fact that this gfy got named "Lighthearted Likable Donkey" at random is hilarious to me.

I'm sold on the kid and think he definitely deserves a shot to play with the 1s. He was great in both preseason games so far despite being under fire as the backup linemen broke down fairly quickly.

Siemian is still my guy to start week 1. He played OK minus INT, but if he puts up a stinker in game 3 (He's starting) I think you get Pax in there and let him go. I desperately hope we only keep two QBs, and Sanchez hits the road.

Outside the QB competition the ILB battle is really interesting. Dekota Watson looks like a heluva pick-up. He has 5 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a safety and a FF in the two games. After spending last year on the practice squad, Zaire Anderson looks really good. He had two FF and a couple tackles in the SF game. Could be another good UDFA pick.

  10. I think there's a really solid chance that Trevor Siemian could begin week 1 as the Broncos' starting QB. He looked pretty good in preseason, and there's been nothing but accolades for him coming out of the Den/SF joint practices. He's accurate, pretty safety-conscious with the football, and he's already been in the system for a year. It just turns my stomache to think of Sanchez as the starter. They have to know what they're getting with him, and where his ceiling plainly is. To be perfectly honest, neither of them could really play any worse than Manning did last year, so all-in-all I'm not super worried about it. For that reason though as well, I'd like to see Siemian get the nod over butt-fumble.

I will say though, Pax's arm is friggin LIVE. He threw some really nice balls in the preseason game with impressive zip. The other thing with him is, for having such long arms and being so tall, he has a pretty quick release that I didn't really expect. I think he's gonna be a fun one to watch going forward with his athleticism factoring in. Again, given that our QB position last year was basically a shitshow for most of the year, I wouldn't be opposed to him starting at some point down the line if the other guys are floundering.
