Vin+ 3,121 Posted December 2, 2018 Quote http://hosted.stats.com/fb/preview.asp?g=20181202010&home=10&vis=20 The Tennessee Titans/Oilers have lost seven of 10 meetings with the Jets since relocating from Houston in 1997. These teams have not met since Week 14 of 2015 (a 30-8 Jets win) and have not met in Nashville since Week 15 of 2014 (a 16-11 Jets victory). The Jets have lost five in a row by a total of 86 points (17.2 per game), failing to force any turnovers. That five-game streak is the longest stretch without forcing a turnover in franchise history. The Jets have held the lead for only 2 minutes, 51 seconds during this five-game losing streak. All 2:51 happened in the first quarter last week vs. New England. Every one of the other 31 NFL teams have led for at least 36:44 of game time since Week 7. The Titans have lost two straight games and five of seven after a promising 3-1 start. Their 281 rushing yards allowed at Houston on Monday night were their most since moving to Tennessee. The last time the franchise surrendered more was when the Oilers allowed 299 to the Colts on December 22, 1985. Back in Week 5 vs. Denver, Isaiah Crowell had a franchise-record 219 rushing yards (on just 15 carries), but in six games since then, he has accumulated just 192 rushing yards on 63 carries. His 3.05 rushing average since Week 6 is the lowest in the NFL (minimum 50 carries). Marcus Mariota completed 22-of-23 passes for 305 yards with 2 TD and 0 INT for a 147.7 passer rating. Since 2000, it was just the fifth time a starting QB had attempted 20 passes, had a passer rating of 145.0 (or better) and LOST. Matt Ryan did it earlier this season vs. New Orleans (148.1, lost 43-37 in OT), but prior to that, it hadn't happened since Ben Roethlisberger in 2006 at Atlanta (147.3, lost 41-38 in OT).
