Bills @ Pats

Recommended Posts

Since the last NFL realignment in 2002, the Patriots are 29-4 against the Bills. It is the most one-sided divisional matchup in the entire NFL in the span.

The Bills have a top-two defense but a bottom-two offense (for total yards). The only team since the merger to accomplish that over a full season is the 2002 Panthers. The Bills are on pace to be the first team since the 2006 Raiders to average fewer than 300 yards per game on both offense and defense.

The Patriots have lost two in a row and are in danger of their first three-game losing streak since 2002, when they lost four straight between September 29 and October 27. That's 263 games since their last three-game losing streak, the second most in NFL history; the 49ers went 285 games between three-game losing streaks from 1981 to 1999.

Rookie starting quarterbacks like Josh Allen are a combined 0-9 at New England in the Bill Belichick era (since 2000). The last rookie starting QB to lead his team to victory at New England was Kerry Collins of the Panthers in 1995.

Robert Foster has back-to-back games with 100 yards receiving. He is the first Bills rookie to do that since Sammy Watkins in 2014, and no Bills rookie has ever had three straight. League-wide, the only undrafted rookie with straight 100-yard receiving games was Bill Groman with the 1960 Houston Oilers.

Tom Brady has 29 career wins against the Bills, the most by any starting quarterback versus any opponent in NFL history. Brady's 68 touchdown passes against Buffalo are the second most by any QB against any opponent; Dan Marino had 72 TD passes against the Jets.
