Recommended Posts

The Cowboys beat the Giants in Dallas in Week 2, 20-13, winning their third straight over New York. Dallas has outscored New York 69-26 (+43) in these wins, its largest advantage in a span of three wins versus the Giants since a +61 advantage in three victories between September 1996 and November 1998.

Dallas beat Tampa Bay last week, 27-20, clinching its third NFC East title in the last five years and fifth since 2007. Despite the regular season success, the Cowboys have won only two playoff games since 2007, and haven't advanced past the Divisional Round since winning the Super Bowl in 1995.

New York lost to Indianapolis last week, 28-27, dropping a second straight game after winning four of its previous five. The Giants finished their road schedule averaging 25.9 points, compared to their average of 18.1 points at home -- their -7.8 points per game decrease is the largest in the NFL from road to home.

The Cowboys have gone 4-1 versus the NFC East this season after finishing 2017 with a 5-1 intra-divisional record. Only the Steelers (9-1-1, .864) have a better record against their own division than the Cowboys (.818) in this span.

Ezekiel Elliot currently leads the NFL in scrimmage yards at 2001. He has amassed 5247 scrimmage yards in his career, the most by a player in his first three seasons since Chris Johnson (5606, 2008-2010).

Saquon Barkley currently has 1886 scrimmage yards and 14 total touchdowns, making him the sixth rookie all-time with 1800+ yards and 14 touchdowns. The others are: Ezekiel Elliot (Dal, 2016), Clinton Portis (Den, 2002), Edgerrin James (Ind, 1999), Eric Dickerson (LAN, 1983) and Billy Sims (Det, 1980).
