Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted May 29, 2012 Bracket: http://www.ncaa.com/brackets/baseball/d1 Don't think the Regionals are televised. <_< At least the Supers are on TV. Let's go LSU.
Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted June 4, 2012 Pretty exciting LSU-Oregon State Regional Final game. OSU rallied from a 3-0 deficit and went up 5-3 in the 7th. LSU managed to tie it up in the 9th, and got the go-ahead run in the 10th. Goody sealed the game for LSU by striking out the side in the bottom 10th. It'll be LSU vs. UCF/Stony Brook next weekend for a trip to the College World Series.
Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted June 9, 2012 Pretty eventful start to the Super Regionals... you guys should watch, it's good baseball. LSU-Stony Brook game was nuts. Gotta say... even though Stony Brook is essentially an obscure D1 school, their team is tough as fucking nails. Dominated LSU through 8 innings. LSU trailed in the 9th, 10th, and 11th innings and tied the game with three solo homers. Unreal. Sucks the game got suspended until tomorrow morning. Arizona also had a nice comeback win in extras today after being down 5-0 early to SJU. And Mark Appel looked like dog shit against FSU tonight lol.
Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted June 11, 2012 Stony Brook was the better team. They have good pitching, and some damn good smart batters. They're absolute grinders. They know how to work the count, and they get timely hitting. All in all, they had seven players drafted this past Monday. No-name school, but a damn good team. Wouldn't be surprised if they pulled an '08 Fresno St. and won it all. Meanwhile, I don't think LSU would have gotten past UCLA if they won tonight. Offense isn't good enough, base running is absurdly bad, and the rotation isn't that good outside of Gausman and Nola. Surprised they actually made it this far and managed to host a Super Regional. Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted May 27, 2013 This year's bracket: http://www.ncaa.com/interactive-bracket/baseball/d1 LSU has a pretty favorable Regional. Good pairing with the Blacksburg Regional, too. Considering that, a 52-9 record and an SEC Championship under their belt, there's no excuse not to make the CWS this year. No Stony Brook this year either. Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted June 9, 2013 Losing to Stony Brook in the Supers last year was a blessing in disguise. Motivated this team to a 57-9 record (tied for most wins in school history), an SEC Championship, and a trip back to Omaha.
