Every time a QB runs the Read Option he opens himself up to getting hit. Many teams made sure they hit Cam every time he went to run the read option, especially when it was run over and over again.

 

I agree the biggest deflation of Cam was the golden 3 Wilson, RGIII and Luck. His time in the sun was over and the New Kids on the Block were taking over. Reminds me of the Eagles song. New Kid in Town.

 

And it was perfect for the media. Cam came out slow and each week one of the three had a good week. So it was easy to put the foot down on Cam and keep drooling over the Newbe's. When Cam got hot in the 2nd half after they dropped the R.O. it was too late. The media was all over RGIII, Luck and Wilson.
