Cowboys @ Eagles

Recommended Posts

Dallas won at Philadelphia in the most recent meeting, winning 6-0 in Week 17 last season after the Eagles had already clinched the NFC's No. 1 seed. In the other meeting last season, Philadelphia rushed for 215 yards and won 37-9 at Dallas. The Cowboys have won five of their last six games in Philly.

The Cowboys have lost two straight and are under .500 halfway through the season for the first time since 2015. In the Super Bowl era (since 1966), only 18 teams have made the postseason after starting a season 3-5 -- no Cowboys team has ever done it.

Philadelphia has started a season 4-4 or worse 34 times and have only made the postseason five of those times. The most recent instances were in 2013 (3-5) and 2006 (4-4).

Philadelphia's defense is allowing an average of 19.5 points, tied for third best in the NFC, while Dallas' offense is averaging 19.3 points, third fewest in the NFC. The Cowboys average 4.84 yards per carry, second most in the NFC, while the Eagles allow 83.8 rush yards per game, second fewest in the NFL.

Carson Wentz has thrown two interceptions since making his season debut in Week 3. The only qualifying QBs with fewer INTs in that span are Matt Ryan, Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers (one apiece).

Dak Prescott committed two more turnovers last week. Since 2017, he is tied for the most games with multiple turnovers at 10, along with DeShone Kizer, Derek Carr and Jameis Winston.
