    Buccaneers state of the franchise

Well, apparently Winston hasn't officially decided to go back to FSU yet. I bet only one of Mariota and Winston declares. I think Winston is waiting to see what Mariota does.

    Lions @ Cowboys

Disgraceful performance by the refs. Those clowns, as well as the one's who did the Cardinals/Panthers game, should be fined and not allowed to do playoff games again.

Wow, definitely didn't think Winston would go back to school. That's a huge blow. I'm a little concerned about Mariota, we're gonna need to hire the right OC if he's gonna succeed.

Happy that we have the #1 pick, hopefully we pick the right QB. Both have some concerns that scare me, but there's never really a perfect prospect.

Josh McCown expected to miss 'several weeks'

Gotta love how people are still calling the Lovie Smith and the Cover 2 'outdated' when you see other teams using it with success, and the fact that we don't even run it all the time. Now, for the Glennon topic, I don't really get it, but who cares, honestly? Glennon had a chance to prove himself and failed by getting worse and worse as the games went on. He played very poorly the last 3 games and you can't use the "everyone else sucked around him" excuse because the rest of the team (besides Special Teams) played well against the Browns and he made crucial mistakes and didn't step up which cost us the game. I mean seriously, Evans could have had 4 or 5 TD's if Glennon made the throws and the game would have been a blowout. The o-line gave him time, the running game was solid and the "outdated" defense forced turnovers and played pretty well.

    Confession Thread

Trident, I also have social anxiety so I know how shitty it is. Mine didn't develop until a few years ago, so I'm kind of lucky in that fact that I had friends and people to go to before I had to deal with this. It sucks being so anxious when you're in public and having no confidence, especially when you really have no control over it. It's just the way your mind is thinking and it is processing automatic negative thoughts through your brain that is determining the way you act and feel. The good thing is that you can get over Social Anxiety and get on to a better life through therapy. Check out the link below, I actually just bought the Disks, and started last week. Not sure if you have the money for this, but I would highly recommend it. If not, there's a lot of information on the website that I suggest you read and could help you out. Getting over your social anxiety will really help you out, and will lower your depression as well. If you need any help or want to talk more about it, shoot me a PM. Having Social Anxiety is an awful feeling and no one should go through it. https://socialanxietyinstitute.org

Bucs trade Mark Barron to Rams, Jon Casillas to Pats

Barron was an incredibly mediocre player his entire career in Tampa. Like Kemp said, he was not good in coverage at all and wasn't that great of a tackler. He showed some flashes here and there, but in today's NFL, I don't think he's gonna turn out to be much. It sucks getting so little after just taking him 7th overall a few years back, but I can't really complain since I wouldn't expect anymore than we got. Really just shows how pathetic this franchise is/has been lately. Surprised we got anything for Casillas. He couldn't even beat out a 30 year old who just started his 1st NFL game this year.

These Thursday Night Games Have To Go

lol @ Phil blaming the game not being close because it was on Thursday. The Broncos are also pretty easily the best team in the league right now and the Chargers were decimated by injuries so just maybe, that had something to do with it. Moron.

    FanDuel

I know some guys here play, so I figured we could get some discussion going on it. I really like hearing other people's input before finalizing my rosters. I'm thinking of going with a lot of Cam/Benjiman stacks for this week, what do you guys think about that? Here are some of the relatively cheaper options I like this week at each position: QB Cam Newton ($8,400) - Cam seems to be pretty much back to 100% and I'm expecting this game to be another shootout for the Panthers, like Sunday was against the Bengals. The Packers D isn't any good and Tannehill just had a good game against them. Not expecting another 30 point outing, but I'd be very happy with at 20-25 for his price which I think is very attainable. Carson Palmer ($7,300) - Seems to be healthy again and he has a good matchup this weekend against Oakland. He threw the ball 44 times last week and when he plays and is healthy, he usually racks up a lot of yards. At this price, I think he'll be a pretty good play and get around 20 points. Kirk Cousins ($7,200) - Not too good in real life with all of the INT's, but a solid option for fantasy. He's cheap like Palmer and throws the ball an awful lot. He has a decent matchup against the Titans this week and they just lost Bernard Pollard for the season which should help. I could see close to 20 points for Cousins this week, which is good value. RB Ben Tate ($7,300) - He's healthy now and the Browns like to run the ball a lot. He's coming off a good 2 TD performance against the Steelers and has another good matchup against the Jaguars. I expect the Browns to have a decent lead at halftime and really pound the rock throughout the second half. I think he'll be good for close to 100 and at least a score, with even more upside. Andre Ellington ($7,100) - I just like the Cardinals offense because of the matchup (not sure how good it is to trust the Cardinals offense though). Ellington is a good back and also gets a lot of looks in the receiving game which I love in Fanduel. I expect the Cardinals to be up most of the game and run a lot in the second half, so I think Ellington will get a lot of touches and has a very good chance to score. Justin Forsett ($6,200) - I know the Ravens use multiple RB's, but Forsett gets most of the looks and after watching him tear up my Bucs, I can tell you he's much better than Bernard Pierce. Pierce got more touches than him last week cause the Ravens were up so big, but Forsett made much more of his touches and gets most of the receiving action (which I love as I said earlier). He has a great matchup this week against the Falcons who seem to get torn apart by all RB's and this game is not in Atlanta which means the Falcons should be at their absolute worst. I am expecting a TD and probably close to 100 yards from Forsett, in addition to a few receptions. WR Steve Smith ($7,700) - Going up against the Falcons which will probably have him more pumped since they're his former rival, plus the Falcons D is bad. Flacco plays better at home and I'm expecting 100 yards and a score from Smith. Mohamed Sanu ($7,200) - With AJ Green and Marvin Jones out, Sanu is going to get a lot of action. He put up huge numbers last week and saw 15 targets. I expect more of the same this week as the Bengals should be passing a lot too keep up with Andrew Luck and the Colts. Kelvin Benjiman ($6,700) - He's been pretty consistent all year and gets the most looks on the Panthers. Like I said earlier, I expect this to be a shootout so I think he will score and probably have 100 yards. Golden Tate ($6,700) - Has a good matchup with the Saints on the road who are even worse than usual, and if Megatron is out, he will see a ton of action again as the #1 guy. He should get at least 10 targets and I'm expecting a score this week. Michael Floyd ($6,400) - Carson Palmer is back and him and Floyd seem to have a good connection. Like I've stated earlier, the Cardinals have a favorable matchup against Oakland and I think Floyd will be good for a TD bomb, and some other splash plays throughout the game. TE Martellus Bennett ($6,000) - Not sure why he is so cheap. Bennett leads Tight Ends in receptions and Cutler likes to look his way in the end zone. He hasn't had a TD the past 3 weeks, so I think he is due, which would really make him worth his salary. Dwayne Allen ($5,700) - Luck loves using his Tight Ends in the Red Zone and he gives Allen more looks than Fleener. I'm expecting a lot of scoring and passing in the Colts/Bengals game so I think he'll be good for a score. Let me know what you guys think.

    Andrew Luck vs. Russell Wilson

I think both are overrated right now, but I'd still take Luck. I don't think this will be much of a debate in a few years either.

    Cowboys @ Seahawks

Gotta give props to the Cowboys. I gave them no chance in this game, but they flat out beat up on the Seahawks. They're a very legit team, especially with that o-line manhandling everyone. Serious question though, how is their defense so good? You look across that starting line up and it doesn't seem like there's too much talent. They were garbage last year and I know they got some new coaching, but is it really that big of a difference?

Russell Wilson's ascension to elite QB ranks

I think Wilson is a good QB, but I believe people hype him up way too much. For example, today I read people thinking he's in the same class as Brees, Rodgers, Manning and Brady as well as heard people today on the radio saying Wilson won the game single-handedly last night which is absurd. A part of the Seahawks that goes very unnoticed is how good their Special Teams is. They do not let returners get any yards as their gunners are great and they have one of the best Punters (not to mention Kicker) in the league. This is huge for the Seahawks as they're usually in great field position and it makes it much easier on their offense, especially when their defense is forcing 3 and outs. For example, look at the 2nd half of last night. Every drive other than the last one of the game started at the Seahawks own 40 or better, and Wilson and the Seahawks offense only scored points on 1 of those 4 drives (On the one they did score points on, they had to convert a 4th and 1 on a fake FG, so their special teams even helped there). Wilson and the Seahawks offense went 3 and out three times in a row to start off the 2nd half, and it resulted in 3 punts. All 3 punts pinned the Redskins inside their own 10 yard line, and the Seahawks defense forced three straight 3 and outs. To have Special Teams that good and a defense who can consistently stop offenses IN ADDITION to a great a running game makes it much easier on an offense because it not only takes more pressure of the QB, but puts him in great positions to succeed. Like I said, Wilson is definitely a good QB, but I definitely do not think he is elite and I don't think he could ever carry a team like Manning, Brees, Rodgers or Brady could. I think he's a top 10 QB who's probably in the next their after the elite 4.

Who is the best QB, RB, WR trio?

I think it's the Steelers pretty easily. Brown and Bell are top 3 at their positions and Big Ben is top 5, IMO. LMAO @ whoever said the Seahawks over the Steelers.

Jairus Byrd out for the season

Did you not watch the Saints last year? They had a top 5 defense after having a historically bad defense the year before. They averaged giving up 28 points and 440 yards PER GAME in 2012. The next closest team gave up 380 yards per game. The Saints defense simply isn't that good and Ryan somehow got a huge turn around out of the defense last year. I'll admit that I haven't watched the Saints play much this year, but I think it's more of a player problem than coaching. Not sure why everyone is throwing all of the blame on Ryan. The defense was a disaster when he came in and they played out of their minds last year.

Your Team: The Overrated, Underrated, Enigmas and Trash

Overrated: Dashon Goldson. One of the highest paid safeties in the league and he doesn't really do anything good. He's poor in coverage and is not a consistent tackler. With the NFL changing and not allowing all of the big hits, Goldson is pretty worthless now. EDS had one good season in Green Bay and for some reason people thought he was one of the better Center's in the league. I never understood why Bucs fans were so excited about this exciting and still don't. He's been garbage for the most part. Underrated: Demar Dotson. One of the better RT's in the NFL, but doesn't get much credit, probably because he's been surrounded by bad players on the line. McCoy and David were underrated, but I think they are getting the respect they deserve now. Enigma: Michael Johnson. He was no where to be seen throughout the pre-season and in the first few games, but blew up against the Steelers with 2 sacks, a FF and very solid play against the run. Really hope he can be more consistent cause if he can, him and McCoy will wreck havoc for opposing o-lines. Doug Martin sometimes looks really good and other times just runs right into the line. Yes, the line has not been the greatest, but other RB's are having more success running behind it. He's been a lot more bad than good lately and I was even considering putting him in the overrated column, but even this year he's shown some good flashes so I'll wait on that. Trash: Josh McCown. He was good in that 5 or 6 game stretch with the Bears last year, but went back to his old self this year. Some of the decisions he made were just awful and mistakes that NFL QB's do not make. Luckily, he isn't playing anymore because he got hurt, and Glennon has taken over and looked better (for at least 1 game).
