Jim Washburn reportedly wants Albert Haynesworth "badly" .
seanbrock replied to Turry's topic in NFC
If the Eagles could get the maximum effort out of Haynesworth the Eagles defensive line would be absolutely elite and it would do a lot to mask our questionable secondary and help our very young LB corps out. I'd be willing to give it a shot. I mean, his whole problem in Washington was the scheme and there is literally no scheme he would prefer over the one we will be running. -
I like Howard. He's got a lot of fine tuning to do, but he has that nasty streak and he's athletic enough to start at RT. I don't know if he'll ever pan out but if anyone can turn this guy into a good player, Howard Mudd can.

Is South Park Foreshadowing It's Own Conclusion?
seanbrock replied to Favre4Ever's topic in General Entertainment
South Park honestly has more depth than 95% of news programs on tv that show us what? Twitter updates? -
why wouldn't you want to sign your second best player next to Kevin Williams long term?

A.P. #3 on the top players list?? No, just no
seanbrock replied to Titanswin472's topic in General NFL Talk
Marshall Faulk anyone? Or are you saying since Smith retired? Either way, LT in his prime? Marshall Faulk in his prime was a lot better than Smith in his. Not trying to be a hater or anything, but Faulk was fucking incredible. -
I like Kafka, but just because he's picked up the Eagles offense doesn't mean he's ready to go. Great sign though.

Rodgers "Not In Same Class as Brady, Manning, Brees"
seanbrock replied to JetsFan4Life's topic in NFC
Stats don't always tell the whole story. Big Ben made all the plays at the end of that game to win it for the Steelers. Do you remember that throw to Antonio Brown? Like I said too, a lot of Brady's stats come from the fact that he plays in such a great offensive system. Matt Cassel is a HORRIBLE QB....HORRIBLE and when he was in NE he looked a rising star. He put up huge numbers. -
Who is currently the best deep threat wide receiver in the NFL?
seanbrock replied to BLUE's topic in General NFL Talk
I wanted to say DeSean...but I went with Wallace and I still say anyone putting LLoyd on a top 5 or 10 or even 15 list after having one good season in Josh McDaniels' offense must be just a delusional Bronco's fan because before he got to Denver he was a career 4th WR lol. -
I don't blame them. Light was always a little overrated and now the Pats have two young tackles that won't cost nearly as much money. They really should find a way to hold onto Mankins though.

Many NFL players make their football camps free
seanbrock replied to BLUE's topic in General NFL Talk
Nice to see some of these guys remember where they came from. -
Larry Fitzgerald plays with like 4 shit QB's in one season, still dominates and people are still forgetting about what he did in the '08 playoffs to EVERYBODY including Pittsburgh. How can you not say Fitz has a share of the number 1 spot?

Rodgers "Not In Same Class as Brady, Manning, Brees"
seanbrock replied to JetsFan4Life's topic in NFC
It's not just that Rodgers has his ring, it's the way he did it. He played as close to flawlessly during the playoffs save the NFCCG against a division rival with a highly underrated defense as anything in recent memory. He also inihilated the Cardinals in '08 (ok not that impressive) but his road playoff averages have to be up there with the greatest QB's of all time like Montana, Unitas and so on and so fourth if not THE best. Then you put those things aside and you watch the way he plays. He can escape the rush, escape the pocket but at the same time deliver accurate throws from the pocket. He's also just pretty mobile in general. He can definitely hurt you with his legs. The best part is though is he is EXTREMELY efficient with the football. I think there's only QB in the league that has a skill set equivalent to Rodgers and he's got 4 rings. I would say that Big Ben and Rodgers are 1 and 2 by a good margin at this point. -
Kafka is a 5th round pick pick in his second year. It makes sense to grab an insurance policy if you trade Kolb because we haven't seen him in a regular season game. It could also benefit us in that if Young actually learns to the game be he could either be trade bait or our new QB if Vick misses time this year and the Eagles decide to trade him or just let him go.

I'd be really surprised if the Cowboys don't go 10-6 or 11-5 this year. They won't suck two years in a row. I also expect improvement from the Skins, especially if they can nab Franklin for that 3-4 front. THe NFCE will be interesting for sure.

Eckel: New OL Coach Mudd, G Herremens key for 2011 Eagles' O-Line
seanbrock replied to BLUE's topic in NFC
I think Austin Howard is going to be a player. Watch out for him at RT. He's got a nasty streak like Big Jon did and apparently Watkins does too. Having those two on the right side would make McCoy and the other backs very happy. -
Why would Denver start Brady Quinn. Do they like this years draft class or something? lol
-
The Eagles LB's have sucked for so long...What happened to the days of Seth Joyner and Byron Evans?
-
McNabb does kind of thrive off these types of things. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Skins make a big improvement and you know the Cowboys will be better this year. the NFCE will be good this year.

No, Tiki is pretty much an asshole, but it's not impossible for him to come back and contribute. It is a pretty fucking big long shot. Especially since he might not be able to be at camp with a team.
