Ok cool. Any way we can try and nail down a date? I know for certain i will have one, possibly two, other drafts in that same window. The sooner we can set this one in stone the better. Does anyone have any days in that window that DONT work? We can start with that. EDIT: I do know I am unavailable Sept 4th.

PS. Do we have an idea of when we might have this draft?

    Preseason Injuries 2013

Id bet that that was the case before the new CBA when 2 a days still existed. There are also 90 something players that go in to camp in August, by the time September rolls around theyre down to the final 53. Before the new CBA, double the practices in August, double the players in August, makes sense that August has the most injuries. I dont think it has anything to do with ramping up their conditioning. I doubt last August and this August have comparable injury numbers, as far as quantity, as they did when there were 2 a days.

Yes.... I'm saying I, personally, like the fact that the higher points now force you to take those top QBs even earlier, leaving more WRs and RBs to be taken for those who decide to sit on that next tier of QBs. Even the top QBs value drops a decent amount this way. I feel it makes drafts, early on, to bland...it almost makes it a bad pick to draft even one of the top guys in the first round leaving people at the tail end of the first round missing out on the top tier position guys. Either forcing them to take a guy a few spots too early or taking a QB who will put up points, in the 4 point system, barely above that of the top RBs and WRs, do you get what I'm trying to say? I'm having trouble putting it in to text I guess. Let me try and put it this way. Let's say you picking 11th and the top 5 WRs and top 5 RBs are gone. Now knowing that eventually you're going to need to start at a minimum 2 WRs and RBs it leaves you stuck in drafting either the top QB who theoretically should barely put up more then the top RB/WRs and forcing you to sit on a position like RB where you're going to need 2 starters and you wind up with lesser quality guys. Obviously it snakes around, and its part of a draft strategy, but by lowering the points of the only position you can't start 2 of puts guys at the back end of the draft at a serious disadvantage. In the scenario I just wrote, but with 6 point pass TDs it makes it a little easier to withstand starting 2 RBs you take later on who combined will barely out score the guys who get AP or Ray or Foster etc. Based on being in both types of leagues, I think the 6 point QB much more so then the 4 point ensures a competitive balance. Whatever you guys want to do is fine, the thread was asking for input so I'm just throwing it out there that I would much more so prefer 6 point QBs

    *** TEAM SKINS ***

Cruz and JPP for big blue. Id say Nicks instead of Cruz but he may be a goner next year. I am currently staring at Manningham and Bradshaw right now and its very frustrating, lol.

I didnt mean drafting more then one QB. I mean people who havent drafted a QB by a certain round, can wait an extra round or 2, eating up more of the other positions, due to their value being less then any other player on the field. hence leaving the later rounds with guys who dont produce much, if any, meaningful points. I get your point about the RBs and WRs scoring about half as many TDs, but I think thats irrelevant because you start, in most leagues, 2 WRs, 2 RBs, plus a flex which is usually another RB or WR. Doubling the TD output of WR or RB, equalling that of the QB, where youre only starting one.

Im not sure if this is up for debate or not. But Ive always disliked TD Passes only being 4 points. It devalues the QB position on draft night. By having it at 6 youll see those second and third tier QBs come off the board a little earlier and not leaving as many rounds on the back end with non producing players or long shots....especially with 12 teams. Also, I second the minus points for missed FGs.

Strange.....LT never played for the Jets....must be a custom order

Why Carolina's Defense will Be Different in 2013

    A. NEWS FLASH! You are on a message board! People, especially people who are fans and rivals of your team are going to comment what you say about their team/divisional opponents specifically. B. You are almost TOO easy to criticize sometimes, I havent read one post from you that hasnt been full of Panther dick blowing, and a "fuck you, you dont know what my team can do" attitude.

Why Carolina's Defense will Be Different in 2013

To sum up Daves dribble...... SEVEN sacks, TWO picks, and a fumble recovery in the FIRST preseason game? Imagine where we will go from here??? SUPERBOWL BABY!!! Cam 3/6 16 yards and a pick. Thats ok, no big deal, its only preseason. Who really cares anyway...

    Official preseason discussion thread

Biggest thing I saw in the Giants/Steeler game that I liked. Was David Wilson's pass pro. Its been the one thing that could potentially keep him off the field on key drives, and I thought he did really well in limited time. He was where he needed to be each time. I was, however, very unimpressed with his rushing. Much like early in the year last year, hes making too many cuts in the backfield and struggling to get back to the LOS. After seeing some live game action last year, he stopped the backfield cuts last year and did really well so hopefully its just some live action jitters that he needs to shake off.

Percy Harvin injured on the first day of Training Camp

Says one source....there seem to be conflicting reports. Percy hinted it is season ending, Rapport from NFLN says 3-4 months. I'll tend to lean toward Percy himself, considering he personally spoke with the doctors/coaches etc. I was excited to see what he could do in Seattle this season. Well see I guess, I'm sure an official time table will be out shortly. However, considering how much they gave up for the guy, his now warranted injury prone label, and how much money they invested into a new contact, it may be wise to not rush him back even if he beats the time table and park him on IR.

McNabb's No. 5 to be retired

The only QB he has "relentlessly criticized" was Romo. And who hasnt criticized that contract? It pays him among the top QBs in the league until hes like 72 years old. How many NFC Championships/Superbowls has Romo helped take the Cowboys too? When he takes them to 5 NFCCG and a Superbowl, then you can call out McNabb for criticizing him.

McNabb's No. 5 to be retired

Well deserved, always hated Mcnabb. Especially when during the 2008 Playoffs he picked up a phone on the Giants side line doing some smack talking after getting the edge on a run. Thats in the past, now he is a huge advocate for bashing Jerruh and Tony Romo and his gigantic contract extension so hes cool in my book....Congrats DMac

    Predict Your Team's Regular Season

You brought up a matchup against us from 2 years ago, a year in which we won the Superbowl. Then boasted of a good December record of late. I brought up the fact that you played 3 cold weather December games in 2 years. One vs the not so stellar Bills and one vs a Bears team without Cutler. Then I said "you don't play as well on the road" which you just agreed with. No one ever said you suck in the road, except for you. Then you stated its a game that you "should" win. I simply said there is no evidence to support that 4 months in advance, during a difficult part of your schedule, on the road, in the wind and cold. Ease off the juice, brah.

    Predict Your Team's Regular Season

Apologies, 2011 you played Chi Town in December without Cutler but they did have him last year.....even still you just pulled it out in overtime Regardless all 5 of your losses last year were on the road, Plus a 4 point 16-12 win @ Car, And a 23-17 OT win @ Chicago You don't play as well away from home.....it's a fact....the week before you play the giants on the road you play SF on the road, followed by 2 more division games.....30 degrees and arguably the windiest stadium in the league.....all things considered I actually give the edge to the Giants.

    Predict Your Team's Regular Season

Two things about this.... A) nice job in December. But the only road cold weather games you played in December the last 2 years were vs the lolBills and a Jay Cutler-less Bears squad. B) congrats on beating us 2 years ago in October....we won the Superbowl that year lol I don't think you "should" win the game by any stretch.....you probably have an edge as of now, 4 months in advance. but definitely no evidence that shows you should win the game

    Predict Your Team's Regular Season

@ Dallas - Win Denver- Loss @ Carolina - Win @ KC - Win Philly - Win @ Chicago - Loss Minnesota- Win @ Philly - Loss BYE Oakland - Win Packers - Loss Dallas - Loss @ Washington - Loss @ SD- Win Seattle - Loss @ Detroit- Win Washington - Win I have us at 9-7, but could see anywhere from 8-8 to 11-5. Typical Giants year. But don't let us get in the playoffs at 9-7 or 10-6 or we WILL win the superbowl in our own house lol Gave us a 3-3 split in the division with all 3 teams just because they're impossible to predict. I could see us beating GB at home, we seem to play well vs them but on pure talent I gave us a loss Getting Seattle at home in December is big, that also is a game I marked a loss but could see us winning. Chicago and Minny we could lose both or win both, so I gave a split And we are always good for atleast dropping one game we should win, so take your pick KC, Oakland, Carolina, SD, etc.

Update: Jeremy Maclin tears ACL, done for season

Hate seeing this stuff so early in camp....tough luck Philly faithful, here's to a successful return.... On the upside maybe now the team gets a year of chips offense under their belt and they bring him back on a 1 or 2 year deal on the cheap

    Predict Your Team's Regular Season

Sweeping the Giants. Beating the Broncos. And winnig at Nawlins? No healthy pass rush outside of Ware, an offense line that will have trouble keeping Romo upright, and opening in Prime Time vs the Giants at the house that Eli built? Idk, 4-0 at Giants Stadium South! Bold.....Pass that good stuff! wait forgot I'm reading a Cowboys fans post in the preseason
