How many games do the Panthers win in 2013?

It is very, very difficult to take the high road when you have already dug a tunnel in order to go underneath the low road sir....

First. We will see who is right and who is wrong. Thats the first thing you have been right about since your "return" to this site lol. Second. You may be the only person on the planet, even among Panther fans, who dont think the Falcons as a whole are a better team right now. Third, and finally, I really must urge you to stop cursing people out, and taking personal shots at people. I would really really hate for you to get banned and have that be the excuse you dont come back to eat crow later in the season. We all know you wont show up come late November/December anyway, but at least we know what kind of fan you are if you are not banned and still dont show.

How many games do the Panthers win in 2013?

For someone who basically just claimed to be the most knowledgable football fan on the planet, then proceeds to list a center and a left tackle as "skill position" (not skilled position) players, really tells us a lot lol. Your skill position players comprise of your QB, RBs, WRs, and TEs. Steve Smith, is another year older and no one is scared of Brandon LaFell, the ex-Giant Hixon, Tedd Ginn JR, or whoever winds up playing the 2, 3, 4 WR. Leaving you with Smith and Olsen as your only viable threats in the passing game. Double Trouble? Maybe 3 years ago. Deangelo Williams is still a very competent back, but he just hit that magic number 30. The only thing thats "Double Trouble" for this duo right now is Stewarts double ankle surgery. Considering it is taking way longer then expected for Stewart to recover, and he likely wont be ready for camp, I highly doubt D Will can shoulder the load alone. Even with Tolbert taking all the short yardage and goal line carries off his plate. In a split roll I think Williams would do fine, but certainly not well enough to scare too many teams. Injuries, poor coaching, or lack of execution are the only things that will stop this juggernaut of a team? Thanks for that nugget Dave Lombardi, but any of the 32 teams in the league could say the exact same thing. Injuries will happen, to every team. Coaches will make mistakes, on every team. And Cam Newton will not bring his 57% completion percentage up to 100% for this season. Your defense will not pitch 16 shutouts. And "Double (ankles) Trouble" will not have a combined 80 touches for 80 Touchdowns, so the execution will not always be there. What it boils down to, for me at least, is that while you do have a pretty good defense, I do not believe you have a good enough offense to take the league by storm like you claim to have. I think the Panthers can win 7-9 games, maybe even 10 if a lot of things go right, maybe even squeak in to the playoffs. But much like every team, they have plenty of flaws as well. If you stick around here for a while, Im sure you will at some point see that I rarely agree with thanatos....on anything. But boy oh boy has he hit the nail on the head here. I'd like to know who "recruited" you to come back here. It was most likely due to the fact that the ESPN boards were shutting down and it was a good opportunity for TGP to grow this site before football season gets going. Id bet that this "recruiting job" was a mass email that went out to everyone who hasnt been here in quite some time lol. But I can assure you, it is not because your posts are insightful, because they are not. And it is not because you dont attack posters, because clearly you do.

How many games do the Panthers win in 2013?

The NFCS head to heads, much like most divisions, are unpredicatable. No matter how good or bad either team is, either can win regardless of the circumstances, so based on that I will assume they go 3-3 in the division. I dont see them beating Seattle, SF, or NE. And NYJ and BUF should be virtual locks. So that puts them at 5-6. And I can see them going 3-2 with the remaining games, NYG, St Lou, @ Miami, @ Zona, @ Minny. That puts them at 8-8, but I dont see them being much better then that...simply because they dont have too much talent at the skill positions, especially if Stewart isnt 100%. If they stay healthy on offense, which never happens for any team in the NFL, I can see their ceiling being 9 wins. I see a lot of the new panther fans talking up the new pieces in the secondary, and they very well may be right, but right now the best you can call them is unproven. If theres any position in the NFL outside of QB that takes time to get acclamated too, whether it be college to pros or even a new scheme from an old team, its any of the defensive backs. All things considered Id say 7 or 8 is the most probable. Of course, what the hell do we know? Theyll probably win 14 losing to only the Jets and Bills lol.

    Giants Season Preview

Pretty fair evaluation. Only have a few discrepencies. 1. I disagree, strongly, with you saying Nicks even when healthy isnt a "dynamic" WR. When healthy, I think he is more then dynamic, hes near elite. Hes not Calvin Johnson or anything, but is definitely a true number 1 WR. 2. Nicks missing part of OTAs is almost certainly not contract related, nor is he contemplating a hold out. He is coming off an injury riddled season, even in the games he played he was obviously injured. He posted career lows in catches, yards, and TDs...he has no ground to stand on. Personally, if he was going to hold out after a down year like last year, I would welcome it, because that means he would cost much less to re-sign now then next year if he has another year like the 2011 season and Superbowl run. 3. Its a virtual lock that David Wilson will be the starting RB week one. His work load increased as the season progressed this year, and while I am a big fan of Andre Brown, he is locked in as the short yardage/goal line back, and will likely handle all of the 3rd down duties because Wilson only knock is his Pass pro. 4. I wouldnt bank on having an easy transition from Bradshaw due to Hynoski, considering hes injured and all signs are pointing to opening up camp with him on the PUP, opening day is questionable at best. 5. The OL. Its hard to argue with you on this because of all the stats and rankings you listed. But I am completely blown away that they ranked that highly in Run Blocking, and that low in Pass Blocking. I actually would have thought that this would be completely opposite. I am not high on the OL at all, aside from Beatty and Snee. Boothe is good but he is likely going to be gone next year since we only re-signed him for 1 year, and Snee could very possibly retire even though he still plays at a high level. Pugh is an unknown, and I think Baas was arguably Jerry Reese's worst signing as GM, he gave him a TON of money. 6. Ill be the first to admit I was/am a huge Kenny Phillips supporter. However I dont believe there will be a sting, or even a pinch, losing him. He was never healthy consistently, and Stevie Brown stepped in for him last year and nearly led the league in INTs with less games played then everyone else atop that list. 7. I have no quams with your DL or Special Teams, evaluation Overall, nice job. +1

How many games do the Eagles win in 2013?

New coach, questions in the secondary, but a ton of talent on offense all over the field if they can nail down a QB. Depending on how well the new offense takes I can see them winning anywhere from 5-10 games. The eagles IMO are the hardest team in the NFL to gauge this season.

    2013 NFL Draft Discussion

Big fan of the once highly touted Damontre Moore as a top 10 pick before a pitiful combine, but I'm confident TC can get the most out of him. He obviously can sit and learn for a while if he's not ready to go from day 1. However I know very little about John Hankins the OS DT we took in 2? Any Ohio State fans or college fans know anything more about this kid than the scouting rEports can tell me? Big fan of how they are 20 and 21 though....they're young so have time to grow into their bodies more and learn more about their positions

Zack's Draft Day Mock (with trades)

Because outside of our LT Beatty, the rest of our OL is ancient. I personally dont think hes shitty, I love that fact that hes tested in the SEC, and because of our OL situation he will be strictly an RT, we wont be drafting him with plans to move him to left. Plus hes a mauler in the run game, which as unconventional for the Giants as it is, our run game has been nothing short of gross the past 2 years.

Zack's Draft Day Mock (with trades)

Not that I have any idea who Jerry Reese is keying in on, he suprises me every year. But if that is the way the draft falls, there is almost no way we select Richardson with Fluker still on the board.

Giants release Boley ,Bradshaw and Canty

Latest on Bradshaw...gotta say though with such a small cap number I was very surprised with this move, there must be more concern with his recent foot surgery than we think, otherwise to release such a hard tough 26 year old RB for only 3 Million doesn't make any sense Ahmad Bradshaw says he's "very confident" his latest foot injury isn't career ending, and that the Giants left open the possibility of re-signing him once he's healthy. Recovering from an operation to repair multiple breaks to his right foot, Bradshaw expects to be ready to go by training camp. It makes sense for the Giants to leave the door open for a player who is universally lauded for his toughness and remained productive in 2012, but they're likely set at running back with 2012 first-rounder David Wilson and Andre Brown. Coming off a 1,015-yard campaign during his age-26 season, Bradshaw should draw plenty of interest once he's healthy. Related: Giants Source: Ohm Youngmisuk on Twitter Feb 6 - 5:41 PM

Would have liked to keep him around, when healthy he was pretty good, but had to see this move coming at his price tag. Best of luck Mr Boley

    Baltimore Fans!

Just wanted to drop in and say congrats! Very happy for you guys, and even happier the more professional brother won the Superbowl. Really dislike Jim's constant whining, head set throwing, and feet stomping we have seen for the last 2 years. Regardless, Congrats Baltimore! Enjoy your parade!
