Hello boys and girls.....been a while! Was browsing around and talking in the shoutbox. Didnt know if you guys still did this style mock draft game so I figured Id give it a whirl.
Predict the draft picks 1-31 (lol Pats)
For the correct player in the correct draft position you are awarded the number of points that match the selection (ie first overall pick, 1 point, 7th overall pick 7 points, etc etc)
If you choose the correct player, for the correct team, in a different draft position (ie trades) you will be awarded the full points of the pick position (ie Rams trade to 6 for Goff, but you predicted Goff falling to the Rams at 15, you will receive 6 points)
For the correct player, in the correct draft position, for the WRONG team (ie trades) you will receive half the points of the draft position (ie pick 10 is worth 5 points, pick 15 is worth 7.5 points, etc)
So if you're interested, post your mock draft! Thanks guys, hopefully Ill be able to be back around daily again, good luck!

I personally liked the moves that the Giants FO made. They have overpaid for the players but the cap space was around £60m and if I read what Graziano reported was correct, the Giants still have around £21M left.
They had to improve the defence which was the worst in the league last year and statically in yards given up one of the worst in history.
Vernon, Hanking, Snacks and JJP on paper have a real possibility to be a dominating line up front. If JPP comes back after having a full season training anything like he was pre accident then he and Vernon of the edges with Hank and Snacks in the middle will cause a lot of problems. Hopefully this will also relive some of the pressure especially on the LB's as that is a fairly big weakness.
Jenkins was over paid also but paring whim with DRC and if he holds on his promise to not take play off late into the game could be a nice 1-2 pairing.
If they can get someone like Floyd, Jack or even Darron Lee at LB in the draft I will be even more excited up front.
So this is the kind of spew Ive been missing the past few years? Jeez, might have to disappear back in to the night

Well after a good 2 day cry....Im finally coming to grips with it all. What a shitty shitty way to go out. 2 CHIP SHOT missed field goals, and Mark Fuckin Sanchez.....Unbelievable.
Well time to put it behind me and try and have a good run next year. Thank you guys for all the help over the last 3 weeks, much much appreciated.

Ok ok. You guys are right, gona stick to our guns
-
You think so Raz? I'd bet the farm on the Packers this week and next. I don't see them losing a game that's going to be fore the division and probably a 1st round by, in Lambeau, in December
-
Thanks waffles!!!
Major question at hand now though. Do we get ballsy? Tske Panthers this week too and save the Packers for next week at home VS Detroit? Gives us 2 pretty solid picks next week in Dallas and GB
-
Scary in the first 27 minutes but I'll take it!!!!
-
Havent been this nervous on game day since the last Giants Superbowl......We're rolling with the Jaguars tonight.....Here goes nothing! Wish me luck!
-
Thanks oochy
Yeah I agree, right now it looks like without Bortles my hand is being forced towards Carolina
I can't take dallas this week for a multitude of reasons
-Demarco Murrays injury is #1. Even if he plays, I have to figure hea going to be limited
-Dallas, put simply, has not played well at home this year, 7-0 on the road and just 3-4 at home
-It's a December game after a BIG win for them
-On paper, taking Dallas in week
17 is an easy pick. It's still December, but I'm more confident with them winning in Washington vs a bad Redskins team as opposed to vs Andrew Luck at home with no/limited Demarco Murray
If Bortles plays, I will definitely revisit it, but right now it looks like Carolina
-
Thanks Natos....Im trying so hard NOT to over think this. I KNOW the Panthers are the safer pick. But the fact that I also know than 12-15 of the other 15 guys remaining are all going to take them keeps getting to me. If the Browns found a way to win, and I somehow find the BALLS to take the Jags and that pays off it would be unimaginable.
I am now, however, hearing that Bortles might not play. Chad Henne may get the nod. Bortles sprained his foot/ankle late in yesterdays game. He did come back in, but is now questionable considering they play in about 72 hours.

Down to the Sweet 16 Waffle!

Vin,
Dallas has not played well at home so far this year. I get that the Colts aren't world beaters but I wouldn't touch this game with a 10 foot pole this week.
I gota say I figured you would be my biggest advocate for taking Jax this week! but thank you for your input dude, much appreciated!

Well, once again it took a little bit of luck. That RGIII non Touchdown was a lifesaver. Although I did launch my cell phone against the wall and shatter it before I knew the play was even under review was a little embarrassing in hindsight, it still worked out lol.
Thank you guys again so much, every post I read helps steer me towards the best decision.
Now on to another week of stressing the F out.
Remaining Teams are....
Browns.............@ PANTHERS...........@ RAVENS
Buccaneers......VS Packers.................VS Saints
Cardinals.........@ SEAHAWKS............VS 49ers
Cowboys.........VS Colts.......................@ REDSKINS
Eagles............@ REDSKINS...............@ GIANTS
Falcons..........@ SAINTS.....................VS Panthers
Jaguars..........VS Titans.......................@ TEXANS
Packers.........@ BUCANEERS.............VS Lions
Panthers.......VS Browns......................@ FALCONS
Raiders.........VS Bills............................VS Broncos
Redskins.......VS Eagles.......................VS Cowboys
Texans..........VS Ravens......................VS Jaguars
Titans............@ Jaguars.......................VS Colts
Pick #1 and #2 are pretty much locked in, Packers and Eagles. Both coming off a loss, both still heavily in the hunt for the division crown, both playing bad football teams. My #1 rule in survivor leagues is being broken this week, I HATE taking road division games. But Im just going to have to bite the bullet on this one.
Pick #3 flat out sucks.
Its pretty much come down to:
Panthers VS Browns at Home
Jaguars VS Titans at Home
Yep, that right, Im actually debating rolling the dice on the Jacksonville Jaguars. It scares the crap out of me, but they had a huge comeback win VS the Giants and than played the Texans and Ravens pretty damn tough.
I don't know, tell me Im crazy, tell me its too risky, or tell me you agree? HELP ME OUT FELLAS.
Thank you all in advance AGAIN, very very very much

Gmen gave us a bit of a scare!! But we made it through!! I cant believe it!
Stevo- 100% TGP will get a donation AS LONG AS YOU KEEP THE ADVICE COMING
Research for next week has already begun and we are pretty locked in on 2 of 3 games.
1. The Packers losing today is a huge help to us, it forces them to play to win next weekend and I feel very confident on this game. So Packers AT BUCS is going to be pick #1 most likely
2. Im really rooting for Dallas tonight. If the Eagles lose, it forces them in to the same spot at Green Bay, so Eagles at Redskins will be pick #2.
3. A ton of question marks here. I personally am leaning towards....I cant believe Im going to say this.....THE JAGUARS at home VS the Titans. Our other option is going to be Panthers vs the Browns in Carolina. I would REALLY love to hear everyones take on this. I will post the full list of who we have left tomorrow when I get to the office.
Just a side note. We only had 1 guy get eliminated today, he picks the Bucs vs the Panthers....so we go in to week 16 with 16 remaining! Heres the catch.....every single person remaining has the Panthers available to pick. So if we roll the dice on the Jags, we can all be huge Johnny Football fans. With the picks going to 3 this week, I have to assume every single person is going to select Carolina, or at least most!
Thank you guys again for all the help!!! Going to enjoy this for one night, and get back to researching tomorrow!

Just trying to get passed this week first Chernobyl...
In the event we move on, than we will likely take Packers, Eagles and a 3rd team TBD
-
Well we still have 2 days to make any changes but it seems for the most part we are locked in
Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead VS Raiders
New York Football Giants at HOME VS Redskins
Here's hopin! Thanks for all of your input everyone, very much appreciated

First and foremost, I really hope Cam's injuries are as non serious as the reports say they are...After seeing the wreck, I would thank my lucky stars the injuries were ONLY a few fractured transverse processes. Very lucky, and very smart he was wearing his seatbelt.
This could prove to be a major turning point in this whole competition. Assuming Cam misses this week due to injury, which he may not but just saying if. If he misses the week, and they lose to Tampa, I would assume they have no shot at the playoffs anymore, right?
If theyre eliminated from contention, and Cam wont be 100%, would they think about shutting him down for the final 2 games?
If THAT is the case, than it makes picking my 3rd teams in Week 16 and 17 a heck of a lot easier.
Week 16- Browns @ Panthers
Week 17- Falcons vs Panthers
Crazy how things could unfold because of this.....
-
At least contribute something Trident lol
-
How come you don't like the Chiefs game Vin? Like I said, I need all points of view!
-
Now that would be something. Again that's a discussion IF I can get by this week. But would Indy really sit there starters for 2 full weeks?
-
Excellent point Revis, thank you. Didn't even think to look at Dallas in 16. Theyre at home too
