  1.

    Why?

    http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/16/the-walking-dead-amc-announces-new-companion-spinoff-series

AMC have announced they are in the initial stages of development on what they're calling a "companion" series to The Walking Dead. Walking Dead's Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert are executive producing, with the series aimed to debut in 2015. While The Walking Dead has taken Kirkman's comic book as its inspiration, using most of the same characters (albeit often then veering in its own directions), the new series will be about a different group of survivors. It remains to be seen if we'll meet any of the new characters first on The Walking Dead or if the show will take place in such an entirely different area of the world, that wouldn't be possible.

“Building on the success of the most popular show on television for adults 18-49 is literally a no-brainer,” said Charlie Collier, AMC’s president and general manager. “We look forward to working with Robert, Gale and Dave again as we develop an entirely new story and cast of characters. It’s a big world and we can’t wait to give fans another unforgettable view of the zombie apocalypse.”

“After 10 years of writing the comic book series and being so close to the debut of our fourth, and in my opinion, best season of the TV series, I couldn't be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of The Walking Dead universe,” said Kirkman. “The opportunity to make a show that isn't tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing.”

This is the second spinoff series AMC have announced in the past week, on the heels of confirming they are moving forward with the Breaking Bad prequel, Better Call Saul.

Any new halfway decent zombie show and I'm watching it. It'd be cool to see another group of survivors and how they handle the dead.

  2.

lol at Ray Rice being over rated.

I hate Ray Rice. That means he's good.

His 2.8ypc on Sunday didn't help his cause nor does his season total of 72 yards. I don't think he is overrated. He is extremely skilled. I think the offensive strategy has a lot to do with his recent performance. He's a wrecking ball.

  3. I really wanted to put Heath Miller in for TE, but in todays NFL I think I have to go with the pass catching TE. I think Cameron will turn some heads this year.

  5. The right side of the oline. I think the left side has been playing well. We have played top notch front 7s the last two weeks. Let's see how we fair against the Vikings. Our biggest struggle should be containing AP.

  6. Schwartz is playing poorly because he is matched up right next to Cousins. Cousins sucks and the poor guy has to try to help him out. Those big guys work hand in hand.

Once we get Gordon and Lava back, I think we'll see the improvement we've been looking for.

Next week we'll have our run D tested against AP. Ray Rice and Lamar Miller showed they couldnt run on us, but AP makes good defenses look like shit.

  7. Anyone playing this?

    Browser based.

We've developed our own advanced football simulation engine which allows you to play a real professional style of football against 31 other human owners. There's no reset button here, if you make a mistake you have to live with the consequences. In our fastest leagues, an entire season occurs in 1 month. You can experience an entire player's career over the course of a year. Draft him, and watch him grow and change through the years.

    So far I'm loving it.

  8. Mike Wallace got shut down, just like his mouth should be. Unfortunately Dolphins shut everyone down except Cameron.

We abandoned the run game just like Shurmur used to. 3rd and 2 and you have TRich on the sideline? For real? Weeden is who I thought he was. Panics under pressure and just falls apart. Throws 100mph at a receivers hands as they're diving for the ball. Throws above and behind receivers. His accuracy is horrible. Can't hit a fucking guy in the numbers. He sucks.

  9. lol my post has nothing to do with you picking the Chargers over the Texans. I'm not a myopic fan.

It just has to do with how ridiculous this thread is. Throw enough slop at the wall, and eventually something will stick.

Hell yeah, isn't that what the majority of sports writers do?
