  1. Steven Jackson is not a top 10 runningback in the NFL. Nooooo way. Baffled by how many people have him up there.
  2. I'm glad they're making a big deal about somebody who will never win a starting job in the league...

    Question for BC....

By the player tunnels a couple hours early if at all. I usually hang out on the steps outside the stadium before or in the tailgate zone, on the other side of Safeco Field from Qwest (or Century Link FIeld). That's where the masses begin to prefunk, nourish, bump music, make rediculous false claims to the Seahawks accomplishing something outrageous that they arn't capable of. There's the drum line which is pretty good to get that energy pumpin through your veins before the game. Lots of people circle around that get really into that (by the tower on the north side outside the stadium), or if you like the Sea Gals you can go in about an hour and a half before the game starts and get your picture taken with one or two of them as well as an autograph by the tunnel entrance next to the team shop on the home side. To be honest I don't think autographs really happen that much. Pete Carroll has a rather vigorous pregame routine for the players. Training camp is the only place I've ever gotten a Seahawks autograph, at the very end of the three hour practice, by about 10 or so of the guys. I got Mike Williams and Trufant on a football, but Earl Thomas wouldn't sign my jersey. I was pretty insistant on getting lots of high profile player autographs that day but to be honest they scribble something that looks nothin like a baseball player autograph, Mike Williams is just a squiggle with 17 after it. Edit: I am being offered free tickets as well so I could likely be there as well. I'm the guy in the Earl Thomas jersey

    Maurice Jones-Drews' Knee?

I'm not going to post any articles. They all pretty much say the same thing. Jones-Drew had surgery, he's less than 100% and expected to be a work in progress in recovering through training camp, blah blah blah. They all include quotes of MJD's saying not to worry about a thing, that his knee feels great and he's not going to miss a beat. Fantasy experts tell you that he is a "risk" and than you should back off, and he is often a second rounder. It's getting hard to know who to believe on this. Is that pretty much all we have to go by? Or is there any piece of news out there that might help us better understand where we can expect MJD to be come week one, through the first few weeks of the season, and any other long term affects this may have on his 2011 campaign?

Gabbert a strong contender for starting QB job

Jaguars news is a little hard to come by, havn't seen anything on Gabbert lately. Is he living up to the bid so far through training camp and all?

Suh fined $20,000 for hit on Dalton

Play through the whistle? Yes. Force a quarterback onto his back a full two seconds after the ball is out? That's a completely different issue. My dude, it does not matter if its knocking the fuck out of him, body slamming him, or just pulling him down semi-easily like Suh did in this case. Obviously the extremity will have an influence on the $ amount of the fine, but when the quarterback no longer has the football, you now have to leave him alone(there is of course a half a second or so of leeway. Every defensive lineman is well aware of this by now. I don't think that there is any debate that the ball was out well before the final struggle to the ground.

    Need suggestion/advice

Dude, are you nuts? First of all tell your Dad to put on his old man reading glasses and do some research. Second, please inform us of scoring formats if you're going to ask for advice and then annoyingly bump and say "hay guiz halp mee!!!" Lastly, how many stud runningbacks who have consistently stayed on the field for all three downs, stayed injury free, and racked up 1200+ yards from scrimmage while punching an adequate amount of TDs? You've got Chris Johnson, Arian Foster, Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, and Ray Rice. I'm tempted to throw in Maurice Jones Drew because he claims he's at 100%, but we don't really know until week 1. If you are one of the 5 teams to score one of these types of runningbacks, you will go far, pure and simple. If you are insistant on having a top QB that racks up 30+ TDs, then you can quite easily snag Peyton Manning or Drew Brees in the 2nd/3rd round double pick you get, then grab a top wideout like Calvin on the flip. You won't need to go runningback at this point because you already have Chris Johnson or Arian Foster, and all you would need to do to be set at that point is hunt for sleeper in the 5th/6th round like Felix Jones, Mike Tolbert, Daniel Thomas, Ryan Grant, or someone of the like. Just take a couple runningback gambles like this later on, because all you need to do to be set at RB is hit successfully on one of them, and you've got your tandem, while still having lots of points from the QB and WR position.

    Steelers release WR Limas Sweed

LOL they really kept him this long? He's a bust. Garbage. Not worth anyone's roster spot.
  17. Why I wouldn't join, because Zach Miller and Mike Williams would be our only players anywhere near decent, and we have plenty of those fans. We have more Bucs fans than any other, a Colts fans just registered but already has around 100 posts, though I'm not sure we have any regular Saints fans posting.
  18. Other than his age and one short injury last year, where is there evidence that he is breaking down? He still is in the same boat as Hines Ward and Derrick Mason. Can still burn CBs every once in a while (he did last year), and is the most reliable possession reciever on his team.

Overrated and Underrated player on your team?

Underrated: David Hawthorne, MLB. Even as a backup to Lofa Tatupu, he filled in for the injuries so well that he lead the entire team in the tackle statistic. He has Tatupu beat in everything but experience. Younger, faster, hits alot harder, and though he doesn't rush (that's Curry and Clemmon's deal), he has that nose for the football to stop plays in their tracks. Josh Portis, QB. A mobile quarterback who doesn't use his mobility as his primary gameplan like Tarvaris, but rather uses it to make adjustments to flaws in the pocket, holds his ground in there for as long as he can, steps up, and fires downfield. Also has been more accurrate than the other two. Red Bryant, DE/DT. His initial position was DT coming out of college, but before his season ending injury last season, he was being lined up at DE and with his frame, he's like another Brandon Mebane. The entire line was crashing better with him in the game, and the pass rush was very effective. Earl Thomas, S. I'm sorry but he needs top 5 safety consideration. He just does. That is all. Overrated: Aaron Curry, OLB. It pains me to do this, but his face is all over schedules, the team website, and he just doesn't live up to the bid. It makes sense that he be rated so high with his draft stock, potential, position in which he was selected, the fact that he is purely our best physical specimen and athlete, but for whatever reason he doesn't come up with as many big sacks, forced fumbles, or huge hits like you'd expect him to. Marshawn Lynch, RB. "What a run." "Beast quake". Those are the last worst we associate Marshawn Lynch with thanks to the one nice run he had in the playoffs, but his 3.5 YPC is middle of the road among NFL runningbacks. Outside of that run and a few nice carries against the Panthers (but cmon, they're the Panthers), he didn't impress me. He didn't rush for 100 yards in a game. Our pathetic 89 rush yards per game was good enough for 31st in the NFL.

Seahawks sign former Packers safety Bigby

Atari Bigby, nor anybody for that matter, can make our secondary any worse. WIthout Earl Thomas it would be hands down the league's worst. He's been owning fools all camp long. He gets on you like super glue, and if you're lucky enough to haul in the pass, you're going down promptly. Atari Bigby was one of GB's favorite young players back in 2008-2009. Makes sense that John Schneider would wanna go after him again. He knocked both Deion Branch and Nate Burleson right out of the game in the snowy playoff game that season if I'm not mistaken. Our job now, is to figure out what the hell happened to him when he just fell off the face of the earth. Injuries of course attributed to his downfall, but my gut tells me it was a handful of other things.

Jerry Jones: Felix Jones is key to season

Honestly I expected Felix Jones to take the reigns last year and beast. I understand the whole team was in dissaray but anyone confident in his beasting this year?
  22. Before you look at my list, note that I don't take any prior stats or accomlishments into consideration. This is referring to who I believe would perform the best given they were all placed onto identical rosters based on speed, pure athleticism/playmaking ability, and toughness. 1. Chris Johnson 2. Maurice Jones-Drew 3. Arian Foster 4. Jamaal Charles 5. Ray Rice 6. Adrian Peterson 7. Michael Turner 8. LeGarrette Blount 9. Rashard Mendenhall 10. Peyton Hillis
