I don't listen to rap AT ALL any longer, but when I was a teenager growing up in the early-mid 1990's, I listened to West Coast rap almost exclusively. It was kind of strange, seeing as I grew up in and around Washington, DC. In my opinion both coasts rapped about the exact same shit, I just liked the way the WC flowed.

The Watch. I was under the impression that it was a comedy...yet I did not laugh even once. All of the "humor" was sex-related and I just don't find it funny at all. Terrible, terrible movie.

I'd also be careful with GTA Online.. With the patch they released a day or two ago, a lot of people have experienced issues with it not saving. I was doing races to raise my rank.. Gained 6 yesterday, went to join another race and I was back to where I started...Lost 6 ranks and a few hours of my life just because I joined someone elses race.
R* has honestly produced one of my personal worst online experiences of any game ever.... The game itself online, I think is decent enough.. But there are so many problems with it, and R* is altering the gameplay to the point where they are going to practically force you to buy cash... This most recent patch also increased the prices on a lot of in game purchases (some cars, pretty much all guns and ammo) while cutting the money you get from missions IN HALF. Insane. They want to microtransaction us to death (although that feature is not live yet) and their product is absolute ass. They delayed online for 2 weeks and still couldn't get it right.
Fuck Rockstar, man. Fuck them.
I am done with that game, online, until I hear it's been overhauled.
I couldn't even log into GTA online for the first fours days after it launched. Once I got on, I had a fair amount of fun with it, but got bored and traded the game in for something else. Then I read this just yesterday and it made me (sort of) regret getting rid of the game. Not a bad apology from R*, but it still doesn't make up for the shitty initial experiences that people had.

Gravity. I loved it, my heart was pounding from the moment the accident happened until bout 20 minutes after the film ended. I am not sure I have ever had a movie do that to me before.

I just started playing Assassin's Creed II again, I am looking to run through them all before AC IV comes out in a couple of weeks.

Turned 35 in August, feel like I am 80 most days.

Extreme height (Gigantism) has always intrigued me to no end. I don't know why.
I have also always been fascinated by the origins of religions around the world. So much so that my DVR is practically overloaded with documentaries on the subject.

Devery Henderson released by Washington Redskins
That was quick.
According to Redskins.com, Henderson has been out of camp since August 5th as he deals with a death in his immediate family.

The Redskins are a 3-4 defense I believe.
Yes, the Redskins do run a 3-4 defense.

It still looked to me that he was limping after running some short sprints. But that could be because of the brace, though.
I am also trying to temper my expectations. Don't want to get too excited and be let down if he doesn't feel ready for week one.

The Redskins can have my babies.
Fixed it for ya!

Star Trek: Into Darkness. Pretty frickin' awesome in my book. I liked it more than the first, honestly.

It's curious that most of the books in the thread so far are ones we all read in high school. Are we reading kickass books in high school or do we not read after graduating?
Honestly, I NEVER read in high school...yet somehow I majored in English in college and ended up teaching. I didn't start reading heavily until I began teaching. However, I didn't teach any of the books on my list. I wrote a huge paper on Frankenstein for a British Lit class in college, the others I read on my own time since college. I try and read a novel every couple of weeks. I used to knock out a novel in a few days.

For the record: RGIII and Alfred Morris.

I just got home from the bookstore. This is what I bought and what I'll be reading this summer.
Lolita and Pride and Prejudice are pretty fantastic reads.

I found it quite funny that these idiots came to Myrtle Beach a couple of years ago to "protest" some stupid thing (can't recall what). They were in the area for 7 days and only protested on the last full day they were there....hmmm...I wonder what they were doing the other 6 days at the beach during the summer...

I don't typically buy DLC for games. Not for moral or principles or anything, I am just cheap like that. When I do go and purchase DLC, I will always wait until I have beaten the game. It can sometimes make the game feel brand new (as rzb said).

I thought tonight's episode was pretty excellent. Seeing the Governor morph was pretty cool, it really humanized him quite a bit.
