  1. Trump's behavior is often unprofessional and erratic to the point where he makes me feel uncomfortable. It's a good thing our country has a system of checks and balances otherwise I can't imagine the bad situations he could get us into. I hope the situation with Syria doesn't escalate into another war we can't afford and shouldn't be involved in.

  2. Has anyone been watching Legion? I've read David Haller centered comics in the past, and I like that the show is true to the distortion and volatility of his character. It's so different from other shows and movies released from the X-Men verse, and I enjoy trying to dissect what's actually happening.

  3. With the way the Brewers' season is going so far, it feels like they only know how to play games that go into extra innings. Rallying late in games is exciting but it's not sustainable.

  4. Now if only we can cut back on pitching changes.

I haven't seen too much of that so far that seems obnoxious, but I imagine the pitching changes might decrease as the players adjust with the change as the season progresses.

  5. From my perspective, it depends on how it's regulated. For kids that are getting full ride scholarships to school, leaving with no college debt, I think they're getting a 'payment' in return for what they're doing on the field and in practice. For others who did not have the opportunity for scholarships, I think there could be opportunities to be compensated for their work like how students do for part time positions on campus. If they're offered opportunities to have their names on jerseys and/or offered endorsement deals, they're adults and I think they should be able to do that.

  6. From a segment of the police chief's press conference that I saw today, he stated there was no recorded evidence of the situation and was based off of the testimony of a police officer. I'm sure there were other people that witnessed the incident, but eyewitness testimony can be manipulated and incorrectly reported. Saying this in a publicized press conference will already color him in a disparaging manner among the general public, even if he is not guilty. If he is guilty, I hope he has to face the consequences of his actions.

  7. Definitely coming from a place of nostalgia growing up with my Dad, Karen Carpenter (from The Carpenters) has to be my favorite. I've never heard a singer emote like she can with such a diverse range and beautiful tone. I get goosebumps every time I hear her sing.

  8. I know that the Packers had to make cap room space, but I was surprised that Jordy was released as opposed to Randall Cobb given Jordy's offensive production and chemistry with Aaron Rodgers. He had an off year last year, but I would've anticipated his numbers would have been back to normal with a healthy season from Rodgers.

Jordy has been a great representative of the organization and it was definitely sad to see him go.

  9. I'll probably sound like a gender stereotype but I really like fruity mixed drinks like: Screwdrivers and Sex On The Beach. Those are probably what I prefer the most.

But, I also really like Rum & Coke and Long Island Iced Tea. Redd's Apple Ale is something I like particularly in the fall.

  10. People who complain all the time and have nothing positive to say irritate the crap out of me. I'm happy to help, but if you're more interested in attention than looking to solve your problems then I have no patience for you.

  11. I'm going on my first week long vacation since I started my most recent job in April 2014. I'll be going up near Lake Superior for the first time, and having another first with trying fishing. There's a lake along the cabin rental as well as ATV trails, so I think it's going to be a really peaceful and relaxing week off.

I'll be leaving in six days. I have my countdown going :D

  12. After attending an all women's college during my undergraduate studies, feminism is about reaching equality between men and women. There is a very ingrained social construct in our culture about what a man and a woman is supposed to be (what specific roles they play in the household, job positions that are predominantly for one gender or the other, etc.). In my opinion, feminism is about having an honest conversation about why those roles have been predetermined and how they can be challenged to open up equal opportunities for all. Women have come a long way throughout history in terms of earning the right to vote, and as times (and economic stature) have changed, have been able to be breadwinners for their households as well. Personally, I don't find anything wrong with continuing to push the line a little bit more to see what other gender gaps remain and seeing what can be done about them.

  13. Per usual, the Packers offense carried the team. The defense appeared undisciplined and sloppy with several missed tackles, unnecessary penalties, poor coverage in the passing game, and Forte had a field day with our run defense. I wonder year in and year out why we keep Capers around...

There are a lot of improvements that need to be made specifically on the defensive side of the ball otherwise we'll have a rough week next week against Seattle.
