  1. Not surprised Warriors won tonight. Backs against the wall and at home. I expect the Thunder to take care of business in game 6. Of course if they don't, I'm not liking their chances in a game 7 at Oracle.

I agree. If that series goes to 7 games, Warriors win it for sure IMO. Warriors wouldn't drop that game.

I don't know if I'm sold on the Thunder. They have been playing very well, but it seems like they have always found a way to lose when it matters against good teams. I'm hoping they can push through and make it.

As for the Cavs Raptors series, I think the Cavs close it out tonight. I think LeBron's got the teams head right and they come out and crush the Raptors again.

  2. I agree. One reason we let Harbaugh go is because of power struggles with Baalke and York. Tomsula was a guy that they knew would do whatever they wanted him to do. It will be interesting to see the way that Chip and Baalke get along. If Chip does what he did in Philly with the Niners, I don't see it working out with him. Could see 3 coach changes in 3-4 years...

  3. Steelers are a better version of Dallas in terms of QB situation. Love Ben as a QB, always have, but the guy is going to take hits because it's part of his game and he's going to miss time. Lets not forget how balanced a team the Bengals are. I'm not a fan of Dalton, but I like him over Landry Jones. I have to pick the Bungles here.

I agree with this. I see the Bengals winning the division. I don't think Big Ben will play in every game and in this division it will take having him in every game to win it. If he does stay healthy tho, I think the Steelers might just pull ahead of the Bengals. I always love watching this division and the way it unfolds throughout the year. One of the most unpredictable divisions IMO. Especially if the Browns are able to start joining the other 3.

  4.

Good to see you back man, don't go :(

But I agree with your entire post..rough for you 49er fans. Lost a lot of guys to retirement and have a down year and then you get Chip Kelly...that's like getting kicked in the balls after some kid already beat you down.

Yeah man, I'm gonna try to start getting around the form again. I miss it here. I've checked in every now and then, but rarely post. Maybe get some activity in the graphics section as well again.

But yeah, it's been a really rough and frustrating year. Last years terrible offseason and then we followed up with a sub par offseason again this year. Chip Kelly is an upgrade from Tomsula, but I'm not a huge fan of him as an NFL coach. I think he might be able to utilize Kaepernick and maybe get a little production out of him, but I'm not expecting anything too great from the Niners. We amped up our pass rush and added some corner depth, which is good. Our WR corps I think is very sub par. Our OL I think will be bad again this year, even tho we added a couple pieces, making it a nightmare for us to do anything offensively.

Gonna be another bad year for 9er fans, but hopefully we will have something to build on by the end of this year instead of going through another 10 year draught of bad coaching and management switch-ups

  5. I think the Cardinals take it again. But that is only if Carson Palmer can come out and play solid again this season without getting injured or taking a step back in his old age. Cardinals are the deepest team in the West this year I think. And their WR corps tho....

Marshawn retiring will have an impact on the 'hawks I think, even tho he missed half of the season last year. We will see how their RB situation shakes out, but I'm not too sold on them this year. I see them having some struggles again. With the Seahawks tough schedule, Wilson is going to have to keep being a magician, and nothing less, to keep up with the Cards.

Rams might get a spark by moving to LA, but I highly highly doubt they are anywhere near competing with the top 2 teams.

    Niners are trash. :sigh:

  6. I think Seahawks have this one. With Kaeps play style, we are an injury away from an offensive disaster (lolmccoy). Not only an injury, but a very likely slump for Kaep. Depending on the enforcement of the new rule that RB's can't lower their heads, that changes our run game a lot. Also, I'm not willing to praise a guy that only played half of a season. Yeah, he got us to the Superbowl, but I have seen many many one hit wonders in my 21 years of life. To me, Wilson is a much more proven QB than Kaep is, even if he was a rookie last year. The Seahawks are a damn tough, physical team (just like the Niners) and I can see them beating us 2 for 2 next year. I think it comes down to a 1 or 2 game differential.

Tough to tell tho. Will be one hell of a season.

  7. IMO you are going way to complicated with it. I think you go way simpler and take out all gradients and images.

Something like this for the globe: http://www.biz-logo.com/pre-designed-18/globe-logos5.gif

And then your box kinda like this to match the style of the globe: http://www.mycounterparts.com/images/126571-simple-black-square-icon-business-box1.png

The #1 rule for logos especially is keep it simple. Atleast that is what I was told in my design class last semester

  8. He won't be a Niner next year, I'm sure he doesn't want to come back. Our franchise has treated him like shit and abused him his whole career (this is the first year that he had the same offensive coordinator since he came in the league). I was thinking either the Jets or Arizona are the two most likely. That being said, I think his career is pretty much over, I don't see him having success anywhere else.

Lets hope Kaepernick can keep his consistency for a couple years.....

  9. ^With how bad our offense has been lately, I wouldnt put it past us to lose to Arizona to lose the division.... I am not impressed with where we are at as a team right now. We are 1 and done in the playoffs unless we get multiple defensive touchdowns in our playoff game.....

  10. Our defense was on the field for 80 plays against the Pats is what I saw during the game tonight.... Brady threw the ball 60 times. No defense can play that good that long.... With our offense going 3 and out almost every time in the second half, that transitions into bad defense because of fatigue....

Idk if I even want to start talking about the game tonight.

  11. That Pats game was terrible. Kaep had 4 good passes that game...... The second half he could not move the ball. He doesn't audible at the line, making it easy for a defense to completely shut down our offense, especially when it is easy to read when Kaepernick is going to run the ball.... With him in, our offense has completely changed. We run the 3 back formation waaaay to often. Our offense has become even easier for defenses to stop. With Smith in, he would read the defense before the snap and be able to adjust that way, which is something I haven't seen Colin do really at all. (not to mention the consistency that Alex brings to the table)

Alex is a perfect QB for our system. With him and the experience he brings to the field, the defense has to focus more on the pass and they don't only have to stop the run. When we need to move the chains, Alex has moved them. When he is in, we are able to manage the clock and with our defense we hold teams to low scoring games, it is how we got to the NFCCG last year. Not by having a "more dynamic" variable leading our team.

Alex was 6-2 in games he started and finished (got injured early in the second half of the Rams game) Kaepernick played most of a game that we tied the Rams, and he lost to the Rams, leaving him 4-1-1. And without our defense completely taking over the game like the did in the Patriot and Saints game, he would be left at 2-3-1.

Kaepernick has done very little to impress me, and i certainly don't see us winning many playoff games with the system we have right now.

  12. I see the 9ers following down the same path that I have been watching them do my entire life, always switching things up in the middle of a season. The thing that made us better last year was having consistency throughout the season, and it followed into this season. We had an off season where would could have the same system and build upon it, and Harbough just switched everything up.

Our Defense is great and does its job, but when our offense is helping them score points, there is only so much a defense can do. Alex is perfect for what we need right now until we develop a QB that can step in and do better. Kaep hasn't done that. In the Saints game, the defense scored as many points as he did. In the game yesterday, he scored no points and gave up 8 to the Rams.......... Our defense can only do so much for us.

  13. With this loss, we are just a game and a half up on the Seahawks? We could not afford this loss. We still have to play Seattle in Seattle which is way tougher than St. Louis. We cant afford our offense giving the other team points, and that is what Alex has been the best at. Colin took an unnecessary safety, he ran 20 yards back into the endzone? Also that pitch was devastating. Everyone is going out saying that he put the team in position to win, but I don't see it. Aside from his huge run (which was all blocking, just a wide open field) and a couple other throws, I saw no reason to have him in the game. We aren't running the 49er offense, we are changing up a lot of what we do to accomodate Kaepernick and it isn't that effective. Why switch up what you are doing when your team is 6-2? It doesn't make sense.

Our schedule the next 4 weeks is Miami at home, Pats in Foxborough, Seahawks in Seattle, and then Arizona at home. I see us going 2-2 over the next 4 games with a loss to the Pats and the Seahawks. Finishing the season at 10-5-1.

Seattle plays Cardinals, Rams, and Niners all at home and the Bills in Buffalo. They should easily be able to pull away with 3-1 for the last 4 games, could even finish it out with 4 wins, finishing the season at 10-6/ 11-5.

So with us having a tie gives us an advantage, but we can't afford to start turning the ball over and falling apart. The Seahawks have a great shot at our division.

  14. Bware? Defending Alex Smith?

The world really is going to end in three weeks.

    This ^ lol

But I don't like this decision and its not just because I love Alex because he came from my college. I've never been a fan of switching things up in the middle of a season, especially if it was working. As a 9er fan, I have seen way to much of it in my lifetime. This is make or break for Harbaugh.

  15. For me, Brand New is the one band that gets me with their lyrics. Jesse Lacey (their singer) is a lyric genius IMO. Here are a few examples.

Song starts at 0:45 but the first 45 seconds tells what the song was written about for a better understanding of the song.

    Just a few.

  16. :Suicide:

The Rams stood there with outstretched arms giving us the game and we refused to take it. Then they did it again, and still we refused. And again, and again, and again.........................
