Greetings from sunny Kandahar, where the sun is hot, the air smells like shit, and the dust is...well, dusty. I just wanted to let ya'll know I didn't drop off the map again. Just been super busy the last few montsh getting ready for my deployment. Now here I am, just in time for draft weekend. I've fallen a little out of the loop football wise, but I should catch back on quick enough. Anyway, been missing everyone here and figured I'd let you know I'll be active again soon. Peace, folks!

This will be bad if we don't pay him. He's earned the big bucks. And as already mentioned, he's already at an age where players start to decline, yet he only seems to get better. They need to get a deal done.

It's understandable to be frustrated when you see lesser players get better contracts, but to even consider pulling another off-season stunt so soon after the last one would make it obvious he cares a little much about the money. That's how most will perceive it, anyway. It's undeniable he's a beast. All he has to do is continue to dominate without saying anything, and then he gets the money and he gets lauded for being a class act about it.

A player's first instinct since peewee football is to score. It takes a tremendous amount of discipline and awareness, and in a crucial situation in the Super Bowl, no less, to forcefully stop yourself from scoring when you have an open lane in front of you...even if the coach says otherwise. Besides, even though they were moving the ball well, there's no guaranteeing a TD if they stop at the one. And a 1 point lead over the Pats doesn't really feel much like a lead at all....

My thoughts exactly. He's a bit of a diva and that hurts his overall value. The Pats have shown they can make anyone a star (Welker), so if he demands too much, they can probably afford to turn away without shedding a tear. There's no denying how much he would electrify the deep game again, though. I actually kind of dread the prospect....

Sad thing is, I think he would make a good coach. He's one of the smarter QB's of our generation. Either way, good for him that he's found something to transition into.

Saw The Woman in Black over the weekend. The acting didn't blow me away (not that it was bad) but it was the story I enjoyed. The ending was, in my opinion, ideal. And the jump scenes were effective for a scary movie as well. Always a plus.

Damn you, Ricky . Should have left as a Dolphin. At least this way he went out as a playoff contender, I guess.

I think Ezio is my favorite video game character. As you play each game and watch him mature into the guy he is by ACR, and see how tired he's grown of the ongoing struggle...idk, it just seems very tangible for me. And by the time I finish each game, to quote Desmond, all I can ever say is "What the fuck?"

As I've mentioned before, no self-respecting professional player will ever intentionally tank his season for the sake of a pick. Competition runs in their blood...that's why they are among the privileged handful who ever get to play. Doesn't mean shit just won't work out sometimes. This is that season. It could just be that after being spoiled with a QB who can control a game's tempo so well, having to play without him has them floundering for someone who can also do it. It doesn't work like that, though.

We already played VT....are you referring to a hypothetical ACCCG? In which case, I agree that our chances are better against a more orthodox offense.

What's even more sad is that I feel like I'm king of the world when I go 10-6. I think I have 2 positive matches after about 15-20.

Not till the final qtr at least. I was pretty impressed with him, for sure.

Haven't been able to touch the multiplayer yet, but having the tanks and jets sounds pretty exciting. I wasn't too hot at BFBC2, so I don't expect to fair much better here. Should be engaging, nonetheless, with the depth of the game. There are probably enough people on here to create a TGP team/squad/whatever. Let me know if interested. XBLGT: jack0fnotrades The campaign is probably my favorite aside from the new MOH game (although that one could have offered more playing time). The graphics are pretty breathtaking at times, and the destruction engine is awesome. However, I can't stand the stupid button mashing sequences, and there are several moments where it just seems like you are doomed to fail multiple times before getting it right. Might just be because I'm not too good at shooters :grinno: .

I think they're lucky if they even stay in the top 10. What I can't get over is this: how do you let a completely run oriented offense own you like that? It isn't like GT hides their intent. They aim to run it down your throat....over, and over, and over. No smoke and mirrors. Yeah, it's the triple option, but just a little discipline should make a difference there. I knew since the season began this game would come down to Clemson's run D, so why did they make it look like they just weren't ready for it?

Let's see....pathetic 4th quarter running game, pathetic 4th quarter playcalling, poor clock management, lack of late pass rush, and then there's that one OPI call I just can't let go of.... All in all Miami beat themselves....again.

3rd time this year we have lost a 4th quarter lead, and the second week in a row we lost a double digit lead. Miami wouldn't be winless if they could finish games. It would honestly be less painful if we just got blown out every week. At least then I would know where the team sits talent wise. Flashes of brilliance followed by the typical letdown. Hard to swallow sometimes. I can't help but feel like the OPI call on Marshall was the beginning of the end. It felt pretty deflating to see such a nice play get brought back by a very questionable call. It also set up the field advantage for NY, and everything went down form there. And why would the offense keep putting Moore directly under center when blitz scenarios were obvious late in the game? Uggh....

When your whole team is playing bad, it's hard to pinpoint one player....but if I must choose, I'll go with Losman just because he's the latest attempt at putting a band-aid on our QB issues.

Bell needs to relax. Bush wasn't throwing any one player under the bus. He said what's already been obvious...as a team, they're playing like garbage.

I appreciate Marshall supporting his coach, but at this point, it doesn't look like the ship is being steered by the right leader. The amount of potential Miami has is just going to stagnate under the current regime.

It makes the situation worse when he deflects. Just admit that you're part of the problem and work to fix it. No one should be laying all the blame on him, but he has contributed.
