Roman Harper Fined 15K For A Late Hit

I'm not a fan of Steve Smith, never have been never will be. But He did everything right on that play and after the late hit. Harper got lucky he didn't get more of a fine or that Smith wasn't trying to rip his facemask off.

    Kellen Moore...

Drew Brees is actually 5'11 but is considered 6'0 with cleats on. Thats probably why Moore is listed at 6'0

    TGP Week 5 Power Rankings

    1. Green Bay Packers (4-0) - Defending champs rolling along. Big test in Atlanta this weekend. 2. Detroit Lions (4-0) - Only other undefeated team. Defense has allowed less points than the Packers 3. New England Patriots (3-1) - Tom Brady having a usual MVP season. 4. Buffalo Bills (3-1) - Have scored more points and allowed less than the Saints. Tough loss only to a good defensive Bengals team. 5. New Orleans Saints (3-1) - Bend but don't break defense needs to tighten up with division games the next two weeks. 6. Baltimore Ravens (3-1) - Need more consistent play from Flacco to make a deep run. 100 yr old defense still one of the best in the NFL. 7. Houston Texans (3-1) - Loss of Andre Johnson will hurt them more than they will admit. 8. New York Giants (3-1) - Injuries galore but Eli Manning is playing good QB keeping them in the hunt. 9. Tennessee Titans (3-1) - Matt Hassleback enjoying an offensive line protecting him for the first time in 5 years. 10. Washington Redskins (3-1) - Defense playing really good and Rex Grossman playing like he was with the Bears in 06. 11. San Francisco 49'ers (3-1) - Alex Smith not losing games for them. Jim Harbaugh has turned this team around. 12. Tampa Bay Bucaneers (3-1) - Young team just keeps going. Josh Freeman coming into is own and LeGarrette Blount is running over anyone who gets in his way. 13. San Diego Chargers (3-1) - Off to a fast start for once but who have they really beaten? 14. Chicago Bears (2-2) - Mike Martz is getting Cutler killed. Whats this with Cutler not being able to audible out of the play? It's Mike Martz's ego is what it is. 15. Oakland Raiders (2-2) - Playing like the days of yore. Good all around football team that does the basics right. R.I.P. Al Davis. 16. New York Jets (2-2) - Have forgotten what got them to the AFC championship game the last couple of years. Center Nick Mangold being out has really hurt them. 17. Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) - One of the better defenses in the NFL. Andy Dalton playing like the rookie he is but keeping them in games. 18. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-2) - Injuries are really hurting this team. Lack of an offensive line is hurting them more. 19. Atlanta Falcons (2-2) - Roddy White not playing like himself. High Octane offense they said they would have appears to have no NAS in it. 20. Dallas Cowboys (2-2) - Most Cowboy fans are probably Romoniscing about the days of Aikman under center. 21. Philadelphia Eagles (1-3) - Should have looked for some LB'ers while they were signing everyone else under the sun. 22. Carolina Panthers (1-3) - Cam Newton playing lights out. But you have two great running backs on your roster. I suggest you use them. 23. Cleveland Browns (2-2) - Why do you have Colt McCoy throw 61 times in a game? When you can answer that question you can move up in the power rankings. 24. Arizona Cardinals (1-3) - Kolb isn't the answer? No it should be Beanie Wells isn't the answer. 25. Denver Broncos (1-3) - Tebow! Tebow! Tebow! Hell start Brady Quinn. What have you got to lose except more games. 26. Seattle Seahawks (1-3) - Pete Carrol wanted to try the 61 yard FG instead of trying to move forward just 5 yards with a timout left and 13 seconds on the clock. People see this as stupid. I see it as genius. If he wins another game then it puts him out of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes for good. He knew what he was doing. 27. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3) - Jack Del Rio's pants are on fire his seat is so hot. 28. Kansas City Chiefs (1-3) - Need to figure out what it was they did last year and quick. 29. Minnesota Vikings (0-4) - It's Ponder time. You have nothing else to gain. 30. Indianapolis Colts (0-4) - It's safe to say no 10 win season this year. Maybe now that Painter gets to practice he might turn into a decent QB. 31. Miami Dolphins (0-4) - Miami trades a player and a conditional pick to the Saints for Reggie Bush. At the rate Bush is going the Saints are going to wind up owing Miami a pick. 32. St. Louis Rams (0-4) - So many expectations. Really need a big play WR for Sam Bradford to throw to.

Saints place Garrett Hartley on IR

Hartley tried to come back too soon and reaggravated his injury causing him to be out longer. That and half of our offensive line getting injured and us needing a roster spot. Should have been done since day one.

    Autographs

I have a Tommy Lasorda Baseball signed. I do have a couple of Canseco and Mcgwire cards signed but since they aren't authorized by the MLB or some such crap they are deemed not real. Even tho I watched them sign the freakin' cards. Come to think of it the Lasorda baseball is the same way. "Without proper certification" means noone thinks it will be real. I got a couple of football cards in packes that are signed but noone great.

    Week 1 Power Rankings

gobadgers said he would compile these F4E to get them up on the main page. I hope he still wants to do this. If not then oh well. And remember this is just week 1 and these are each individuals opinion and not the end of the world if your team isn't where you think it should be. 1. Green Bay Packers (1-0) - Aaron Rodgers was on fire. Defense not so much but made the stops it needed to to win the game against a good offense. Defending champs sending a messege to everyone early that they are here to stay. 2. Baltimore Ravens (1-0) - Put an ass whooping on the other super bowl team the Steelers. Caused 7 turnovers and never let the Steelers out of the gate. 3. New England Patriots (1-0) - Argue all you want that they should be higher but they let Chad Henne, let it sink in, CHAD HENNE throw for over 400 yards against their defense. Tom Brady looked unstoppable against what some people thought was a good NFL defense. 4. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) - Dream Team beat an up and coming Rams team that lost Sam Bradford. Both the O and the new look D looked good but the season is still young. 5. Chicago Bears (1-0) - Beat a supposed super bowl contender in the Falcons. Beat them pretty good too not allowing a single offensive TD. I only saw part of the game but when he was on the sideline I saw Jay Cutler smileing. SMILEING!!!!! It was scary. 6. San Diego Chargers (1-0) - If the Chargers can finally win in the first month then they will go a long way. Unfortunately Norv Turner is still the HC and I just don't believe in him as a HC. 7. Houston Texans (1-0) - Beat the Colts. Manhandled the Colts. The Colts without Manning. Everyone says its their year. Again. Looked solid on both sides but it is still early. 8. New York Jets (1-0) - Rex Ryans defense is still there but Sanchez looks to thrive with new weapon Plaxico Burres and he didn't dissapoint. 9. Washington Redskins (1-0) - Rex Grossman shut alot of people up. For one week anyways. This team is going to live and die by his arm. But so far look really good beating an injured Giants team. 10. Buffalo Bills (1-0) - Yes I put the Bills here because I wanted them to be top 10 at least once this year. Destroyed KC. Maybe Ryan Fitzpatrick is the answer at QB. 11. New Orleans Saints (0-1) - Flame away people. Yes this is my team and I am a homer. But the Saints are only missing one thing from being truly great. What is it? Oh yeh TACKLING!!!!!!! Seriously guys wrap someone up. As long as Breesus is the QB they have a chance. 12. Dallas Cowboys (0-1) - Two costly mistakes from winning. But I believe in Rob Ryans defense and I believe Romo is better than most non Cowboy fans think he is. 13. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) - Probably have them too low but this team is just too good to be any lower. Mike Tomlin will have his team turned around quick enough. 14. Atlanta Falcons (0-1) - People want to blame Mularky for poor playcalling but remember its Matt Ryan making the decisions to check down. With White and Jones on the outside Ryan needs to quit being gunshy and throw downfield more. He may not complete them but it will keep defenses honest. Oline blocking for him might help. 15. Arizona Cardinals (1-0) - Kolb may be the answer for the Cards, but only for offense. ST helped them win the game as the defense gave up 400 yards passing to a rookie. 16. Detroit Lions (1-0) - Another team that this is their year. As long as Stafford is healthy they can be in the mix. I sound like a broken record with this one. Defense has gotten way better tho. 17. San Franscico 49er's (1-0) - Beat the Seahawks handedly. Alex Smith gets yet another chance to prove he can be a good QB in this league. 18. New York Giants (0-1) - Another team I know I have too low. Injuries might have killed this team before the season started. Still have a chance to turn things around. 19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) - Lost to a rising Detroit team. Most of the pieces are there. Very young team that is only going to get better as the season goes on. 20. Oakland Raiders (1-0) - Started this season like they ended the last. Beating a division rival. Am glad Janikowski finally was able to at least tie the record for longest FG. Wish it would have been at the end of the game instead of the half. 21. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) - You cut your starting QB right before the first game because of practice. PRACTICE?????? MJD is the only proven star of this team and their is only so much he can do. 22. Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) - They are only here because they won. I don't see them winning too many more this season. 23. St. Louis Rams (0-1) - Bradford getting injured was bad. But Jackson getting injured and missing a game is worse. Rams are learning that injuries right out of the gate will slow your season in a hurry. 24. Carolina Panthers (0-1) - Rookie Cam Newton throws for over 400 yards. Maybe he is the real deal. Panthers D takes a hit losing Jon Beason for the season. 25. Denver Broncos (0-1) - It was a shame to see people chanting for Tebow while Orton kept the game close. Team is better than this ranking and they will prove it. 26. Tennessee Titans (0-1) - Hassleback was decent until that final throw. not sure why he was trying to go for it all when he could have easily gotten in range for a FG for the win. CJ needs to have a huge year for this team to do anyting. 27. Indianapolis Colts (0-1) - Showed how much Peyton Manning means to this team. They won't be going anywhere until he comes back. If he comes back. 28. Miami Dolphins (0-1) - Henne looked good passing for over 400 yards. I think the Bush experiment will be a bust. A good defense got torched for almost 700 yards. 29. Kansas City Cheifs (0-1) - There is too much talent on this team to get beat the way they did. By the Bills. Cassel needs to step it up as does the entire defense. Will be harder to do without Eric Berry for the year. 30. Cleveland Browns (0-1) - I was hoping for the Browns to break thru this year. It wasn't a bad loss but a loss nontheless. Still alot of talent on this young team. 31. Seattle Seahawks (0-1) - How you think you really have a chance with T-Jack at the helm I'll never know. 32. Minnesota Vikings (0-1) - Can't rely on AP all the time. Ponder will be starting by week 5. McNabb needs to get out of the league. Rest of the team can stay. Just remember its only week 1 and next weeks will be completely flipped flopped around. Flame away if you want. I won't cry

Biggest Upset Alert for Week 2

I would think Seattle over the Steelers would the biggest upset. You know James Harrison has already signed his game check over to Goodell with a note saying someone is going to pay for last week and unfortunately the Seahawks are the next team we play.

    Week 1 Power Rankings

It may be that thier is no interest this year in doing it or it could be like last year where most people waited until around week 4 or 5 when there was a better picture of who was good and who wasn't before they start posting thiers
  19. Kansas City at Detroit Oakland at Buffalo Tampa Bay at Minnesota Chicago at New Orleans Baltimore at Tennessee Cleveland at Indianapolis Jacksonville at NY Jets Seattle at Pittsburgh Arizona at Washington Green Bay at Carolina Dallas at San Francisco San Diego at New England Houston at Miami Cincinnati at Denver Philadelphia at Atlanta St. Louis at NY Giants Tie breaker:65 Also Blue, looking back at last week you have me going 9-7 and I think I went 8-8
  20. Eefluxx

Why did your team win/lose this week?

We lost because we played the frickin defending super bowl champions. In their house. And because Rodgers was unstoppable when he wanted to be. Plus because Raji was pretty much unblockable no matter what we did. And because as a whole the Packers defense stopped us when it mattered.
  21. Eefluxx

    Marques Colston out 4 weeks

It was, and since we had no timeouts he got back up and ran his next route before coming out after PI call. I think it will be more than 4 weeks tho that he is out.
  22. Eefluxx

    Touchbacks

There will be more returns as the weather gets colder. Air will be denser and the ball won't travel as far resulting in more returns than touchbacks. At least in outdoor stadiums. In indoor stadiums it won't happen as much.
  23. Eefluxx

New Orleans Saints @ Green Bay Packers

Of course I was You would think after watching Harper get torched last year against Seattle they would have been smart enough to try to keep him out of coverage duties. Shuan Rodgers got pushed around quite a bit as well. I thought we were getting a motivated Shaun Rodgers. Guess not. Was a great opening day game tho. Green Bay looked like a defending champ.
  24. Eefluxx

New Orleans Saints @ Green Bay Packers

56 17 Reality check tho, I know there are quite a few more Packers fans than there are Saints fan on this board and will wish the best of luck to the Packers :beerchug2:
  25. Wouldn't that be worst QB performance as compared to matchup? I remember Richard Todd being a decent QB back in the day. Even after the Saints traded for him. If it is straight up matchup I remember Matt Leinart and Alex Smith, tho I think it was preseason game, but still you could go with whoever was QB the 49er's and whoever was QB the Cards last year.
