Much as I love the love the Saints are getting right now, the one thing the Hawks and Patriots have over the Saints is a run game or a semblance of the run the game. In 2009 we had a run game to compliment our passing attack. This year we can't seem to find it. Our O-line right now I don't think would stand a chance against the Hawks front seven in the their house or in the dome. Pass protection isn't great either for us. It only looks decent cause Brees knows how to get rid of the ball quick, but he has been sacked a lot more than he is used too. These next 2 games will decide if we are for real or not. The Bears in Chicago and then the Pats.

But in your upsets you say in the Arizona over New Orleans Why it WILL happen (the only one you say it will happen btw) yet in the pick'em you picked New Orleans over Arizona. I agree with both you and Mccflyy on this about Henderson. For one I think it was a healthy move to let him go and get younger at the position. For the other, Henderson was our best blocking WR. He set the edge for our RB's many a time in games and this is something I don't think Joe Morgan has excelled at yet. So he will be missed and it will hurt for awhile but I do agree it was a healthy move. As for the rest of the article. Dave Thomas was worthless in the passing game and Zach Strief graded near the bottom in blocking, Both were hurt for much of the year last year, not hard to figure out they weren't going to produce like they have in the past. As for the rest of the NFC South. Fuck the rest of the NFL the NFC South is the best division. So many things can go right or wrong. If the Saints defense regains middle of the pack they have a good chance for the division. If Atlanta plays the same way the did last year they will be the first repeat South champs. If Josh Freeman shows some consistency and Revis is 85% Bucs could walk away with it. If Panthers finally realized they have 2 great running backs to take pressure of Cam (which I think they have this year), I mean honestly, what other division is worth watching? For the Saints right now its Malcolm Jenkins over Mark Ingram, Ingram hasn't lived up to his potential but we are notorious for drafting a running backs in the first round and not properly using them. Saw Heath Shuler and Rick Mirer mentioned and was wondering how people forgot Ryan Leaf, tho I know we all try to. And for older Cowboy fan Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson, drugs ruined what could have been a great career.

They have actually had the people for it for the last 3 years. Most of our young DE's that were pass rushers were underweight for the position and Cam Jordan played DE in a 3-4 in college. Bunkley is a proven 3-4 NT, Butler and Gallete are perfect OLB in the 3-4 and they are putting Wilson there as well (I really wish they would give him the ILB spot with Lofton) we are set in the front 7 for the 3-4. Now safety and DB wise probably not. But front 7 wise we have had the people to play a 3-4 and played it a lot under Gregg Williams anyways. It will be interesting to see. Last year we said we wouldn't miss a beat without Payton and we got our shit handed to us. It was us against the world and it turned into us against ourselves.

No Saints love? And before you say Brees spreads the ball around too much Colston, Moore and Graham all had comparable seasons to ATL's big 3. (saying comparable not better) Not to mention Payton coming back after a year of analyzing defenses and writing up new plays plus Brees at QB. Just saying.
