  1. You know, we could just hang people we know are guilty of horrendous crimes. No trial. No appeal. Noose and gallow. It's over.

This kid ISN'T one of them, but it would be easier to justify putting him in jail if we just hung the sick bastards that take up cells.

  2. Instant affect? I'm going with Fairley joining Suh in Detroit.

Peterson to Arizona could really turn that secondary around and bring Rodgers Cromartie and Wilson back up to form. Should be one of the best secondaries in the league next year.

Gabbert to Jacksonville, if it works out, might disrupt the natural order of the AFC South. We could see Houston and Jax at the top for years to come once Peyton quits.

  3. I think that goes back to musical style preference, rather than talent or creativity. I prefer Loomis's style of music over Batio, but I can't say he's more talented or creative based upon that.

Batio's solo work has some horrible background guitars vs Loomis having more of a heavy guitar style going on behind his solos.

Batio's style is more 80s glam, which may turn off most, even me for some, but his ability is still apparent. Loomis has a more modern style, it's "harder" which is my own personal preference.

Petrucci is more of a 90's style, again which is a better sound than 80s glam in my opinion.

If I were to choose one I'd like to sit down and listen to, out of the three, I'd pick Loomis. But that doesn't mean he's the most talented, nor creative, just the one that plays the style of music that I prefer.

All three classify as "Rock" but they're all 3 different styles of "Rock".

At the same time, who's best between these three isn't what we're worried about. We just don't want to see fucking Synester Gates, Kirk Hammett, or Angus Young beating out any of these three in the tournament, though lack of exposure will undoubtedly make that happen.

Is there ANY kind of legitimate argument for putting Synester Gates ahead of Jeff Loomis?

    Didn't think so.

  4. I don't know how you can call someone who taught himself to play ambidextrous, two guitars at once, with different notes, and invented the over/under picking to do such tasks, as not talented or at least creative.

I never denied his talent. I just don't find speed creative. How he does it doesn't matter if it's not that great of a sound, which it isn't. Petrucci and Loomis have solos that blow most of anything I've ever head Batio play out of the water.

  5. Once again we've confused the term "Greatest," with "Favorite." And everyone's an elitist if there's someone less informed than you are, but thanks guys. <333

I don't know, dude. If we were to hand the award to the most technically skilled guitarist, we'd be giving it to some neoclassical asshat who just plays fast. The guitarists I'm standing up for, such as Loomis and Petrucci, are fucking talented and creative. No way in Hell this should go to Batio or Yngwie.

  6. Maybe if you go solely by his last season and put a lot of emphasis on his 22 INT. He's had superior stats, game play, and leadership every year since 2004 and I doubt he'll be stopping for a few more years. To suggest he may not be a top-5 QB or that there's an argument Romo is better is rather laughable.

Drew Brees isn't better than any of my top 5...

  7. Hence why I said "I have Romo ahead of Freeman, so I'm not going to say Freeman is a better QB, but if someone was going to make an argument they would probably bring up these points about Freeman:"

I'm not making an argument that Freeman is better than Romo right now.

21 April 2011, Topic: TGP's Top 10 NFL Quarterbacks. Your list

    And Durant's list:

You both bitched about people having Romo so low on their lists in that thread also.

Nice work. I thought I'd done that a year or so ago.

However, I do think there is a Romo versus Brees argument. Not with Ben, though.

  8. I'm not a tremendous writer, by any means, but I am decent. I've posted a few stories and story snippets in The Sideline. Find them, check them out. Might help.

SteVo also posted his story, The Sin Bin, in The Sideline. That could help as well, especially with dialogue, as there was plenty in that story.

  9. If I'm correct, you're a what? 16 year old kid? There is some writing promise here, but you gotta mature a bit. Expand your vocabulary, first off. Then search your stories for repeated words in small amounts of space. You do it a lot here. Finally, when you wish to perfect it, study the prose and dialogue of your favorite authors. That'll help you learn how to do it right.

  10. I also got to say, I don't quite get why Durant and Bware keeps bitching about people not having Romo above certain players, or on their list entirely when you're clearly being overly-biased. Romo isn't as good as you seem to think. There's plenty of people out there that would argue you're both idiots for putting Romo over Big Ben and Brees, two easily superior top-5 QB's, that unlike Romo has proven they are winners.

Please find the spot where I put Romo ahead of either Brees or Big Ben? If I did, it was well over a year ago. In this thread, I repeatedly have Romo behind those two. Freeman has a lot of potential, and I expect him to surpass Brees as the best QB in that division as Brees ages. However, Freeman still has some major accuracy issues. You claim he had a lot of drops, which I'm sure he did. Every QB does. However, in each game I watched Freeman play last year, he had several passes that looked like McNabbulous ducks. Once he fixes that problem, he'll be nearly unstoppable.

  11. There's a good argument for both Ryan and Freeman being better than Romo, though I agree with you about Flacco. Overall, though, you and every other Cowboys fan on this site needs to man the fuck up and stop crying about Romo not being ranked high enough in all these lists. If he's worth the ranking, then he'll prove it this year.

    Break out the argument.

  12. 1. Brady

    2. Rodgers

    3. Manning

    4. Brees

    5. Rivers

    6. Roethlisberger

    7. Ryan

    8. Schaub

    9. Flacco

    10. Freeman - Might be a fluke last year but I see him turning into a solid qb.

    That's how my list goes.

You have Ryan, Freeman, and Flacco above Romo. Get the fuck out.
